I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I find that I prefer the shorty for my needs and usage (start at 3, finish at 5-6).... that way I get a cashed bowl within the 12 min battery on session, and can reload another tasty run if I choose. Otherwise I tend to taste that popcorn flavor (with the reg bowl) once I have to restart another cycle to cash it completely IMO.

FINALLY! got my PV order in. For the pvhes he stem , I found it to be about the same as the stock stem 4 holes, although it has little slits on the bottom(dont know if they help), fitted well first time.

have not tried the pv he gong 18mm adapter yet but will let you guys know.

Was wondering for the o ring if there was any science behind putting it in? I centered it but every time i put the cap back on it becomes off center, or the cap doesnt completely want to tighten. any ideas on what I should do? I also cant seem to put it around the lip which is really not that much of a lip at all
Put the o-ring around the stem.
Slip the cap on over the stem o-ring under the cap.
Now screw it in place.
Should be centered!

I do have the bent turbo PVHES stem, it's a very easy draw, really not bad at all, I'm using it right now. I notice I do burn through the herb quicker with it.

How's the Helix piece? I know they work at least for swirling the air, but do you notice any cooling of the vapors if/when you use it dry?

I use it to further eliminate the "milk shake" like draw. The PVHES TURBO gong with a helix adapter and small bubbler make the perfect combination and I think it hits much thicker when all the suction is not on the bowl and some cool air can come in after the oven. Many people think the helix just swirls or looks cool but in reality it has 3 holes that let in air. It doesn't make the draw lispy either, in my opinion.

hey so i tried this method, but when screwing the cap back on it doesnt tighten all the way, it feels light its about tightened, but then goes right back to loose. so right now I have it tightened to the max point before it goes loose again, Is this the same thing you guys did? Or does ur cap screw back on tightly all the way?

We've covered this a bit, there are two different caps that are slightly different in dimensions. Sand the o-ring down so it's thin enough to let the cap close.

Sounds like it is jumping threads. Mine does too if tighten it too far. I was using it as an adjustment for O ring tightness but overtightened and got your symptoms. Now I do as you and stop tightening just before it jumps thread.
IMO, no biggy, just enjoy......

So Randy @ PuffItUp tells me that the latest batch of Ed's Grenadillo stems he got in are sturdier than his previous ones. Perhaps there's been a design change? Perhaps Ed will chime in? At minimum, I have one on it's way to me and will report :D

BEST. STEM. EVER.

Lovin' the PVHES. The bowl, albeit a bit a smaller, seems to hit for a decent amount of time. Far from short enough to annoy me. The o-ring acts exactly as advertised, and the screens look brilliant. Definitely happy with the upgrade. May post some pictures later tonight and/or tomorrow morning.

I like to go even darker, like dark chocolate brown, close to black for the full spectrum. Of course flavor isn't as good the darker you get. I'm in in for the medication, the flavor is great, but more of a side-benefit for me.

For the SOLO, I find I can get it very dark, more so than pure convection vapes in general.

I was looking at that pic again and realized tahts my VAPOLUTION 2.0 jar!
I was thinking the nugs looked too big...

My SOLO ABV jar is much darker. I'll take a pic when i'm lezz lazy!
I have always preached full extraction over flavor here.

I also got my PVHES today and i like it a lot.

Heat level 6! Best heat level!

But I have bad news my replacement solo died :(

Are there replacements on the replacement Solos? Lol

I ask because I was in the middle of my first session today with it and noticed it had shut off on me. I went to go turn it back on and it did this thing with the blue light flashing really fast and not being able to turn back on. I tried plugging it into the charger but as you see in the video it just keeps resetting itself.

I took a video and threw on dropbox because youtube was being a pain in the butt.

Is there a differance between regular rubbing alcohol and denatured alcohol for cleaning my stem.

That is exactly what mine did. What finally worked was taking the unit apart, unplugging the heater (red and black wires with white connector) powering it up, plugging it in and resetting it (hold buttons for 4 sec, wait 10 sec, unplug). Now plug the heater back in and test it. If it works reassemble it, if not panic.

Q when I do cotton I go to 7 and then drop to 5. I don't warm up with the stem with cotton so it needs to be primed hence going to seven first. I drop it as soon as it gets to temp.
