Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

So, apparently, I think I've proven you can pull too slow with it.
I have to pull just fast enough to initiate 'whistle' mode to get good vapor density.

Is there anything that can be done about the whistle? can i like, bees wax the joint? that seems... no. not right at all. sprinkle kief on it?

On my old cloud I took a tissue and stuck it in the bottom hole to drown out the whistle. It restricted the air flow a little bit but drowned out most of the whistle.

EVO is packed up and ready to be shipped back to Philly. Even though the temp wouldn't get as hot as I liked the unit was awesome with extraction. I can't wait to get it back in my hands.

My repair arrived this AM, and I can agree with Dr P and Enchantre 100%. Elb are easier to remove from the stem. Same vapor production with better control of the temp. Definitely a better range. Abv is lighter in color. No longer a red dot inside the bamboo. My unit whistled loudly before, now only when I hit it really hard.

So far I like the 1:00 range, up from 11 to 11:30 before recalibration.

And I thought it was near perfect before...

The whistle is caused by the air turbulence we are generating which helps with our extraction efficiency. As Sticks said, you can put a filter of sorts at the bottom of the intake to help with this, I've cut out a small piece of foam from a cleaning pad and that did the trick.

Also, wanted to say that @Sinclue and I had a blast doing some R&D testing yesterday. He felt guilty for making me medicate during the day time but we were actually testing functionality of some new water tools so we WERE WORKING :D

Since he mentioned that he saw some really cool glass, I figured I "should" show you guys something. Before everyone gets overly excited, this is just a teaser photo. No release date, no confirmation of design, just a little sneak peek behind the curtains

High y'all. Evii #'s 242 and 244 just landed!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!! VXL!!! Extremely Well Done!!!...as will I be very shortly. I joined Phil (?) in a t-break some time ago to help with obsessing about this situation.

I am beyond stoked about how well this EVOlved. My original iteration served well, no complaint, but these little guys are amazing.

Right now, the both of them are gradually warming up for less glass stress and to burn off the minor factory funk.

Again, congratulations. My 68 years on earth have been all about perseverance. If you give up, the ass-rapers win.

Never give up. Fuck the ass-rapers...and combustion.

I just realized I have EVO number #69. That is too funny.

Anyways, since you asked what we'd like to see on FB SM, I'm going to put a few things down here!

  • Hydratube designed by Mobius/ M&M Tech/ Sovereignty would be cool.
  • Some more glass that isn't just a Hydratube, like the Devastator
  • That sidecar HT is pretty dope as well...just sayin' incase it is just a picture for show.

How do you like your new EVO? (edit, nevermind, I saw your update a few pages back, but if you want to give another update, that's cool too!)

@wootze - I hope you are enjoying your two units. Hopefully they make you feel 68 year young!

I thought with my current glass set up of a bubbler and HT I would never need another piece of glass...

But when you throw stuff like this out there

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right

I'll give an update just for you SM55.

Before the update I found I was using my bubbler mostly because it required less lung power and could be more 'chill' to hit. Now I find myself grabbing my M&M beaker more because the extra airflow allows for it to hit HUGE. It still floors more, just requires a lot less effort. Honestly, watching how fast the fape is moving through my bong it startling. I've never seen vapour move through a piece so quick.

It still works incredibly well with my bubbler, better actually. Since the bubbler is a smaller piece I can milk it at a variety of temps and they all come out smooth.

All of the updates have really kicked it to the next level. The EVO now feels a lot more user friendly and a lot more diverse than before the repair/ update. The horsepower it has now is pretty startling.

EVOs are baked off and so is Wootze.

Love the whistle. Fucking love the whistle. Maybe only the first unit, but I'm done with research, done I tell you, can't do any more for godonlyknows how long. The lengthy stretch of sobriety factors into this...in many ways.

Anyhoo...before I repair to my lair for a lengthy lay down...hit a 1/3d ELB, four, five, don't know how many times, dumped, stirred, turned up the heat to 3 or 4, honked until no vapor at all.

The ABV is totally, completely, even...uniform, each puffed up little piece exactly like its immediate kin.

And every speck is a color of gold never seen before in these parts. Old Estate Rose Gold. Had things not gotten so sideways MAYBE I could have gotten to the near black extract of its predecessor. Dunno, it may be a while before I can rezoom.

In other words, high turbulence, EVEN extraction, likely produces more effect than whateverthefuck was going on here before.

The sidecar looks awesome as always. But i think I don't PERSONALY want any more HTs. The VXCirc2.0 and Vertigotree are more than enough for me, especially combined. Actually I am looking forward to some updates on new mouthpieces. Variety of mouthpieces and a second tube are a must for a modular HT to show its full potential.
Another glass I'd love to possess is a Devastator without the ashcatcher.

Thanks, definitely, nothing else I've tried vaporizes tobacco well and vaped organic tobacco is totally essential to my well being coming from a stage 4 Parkinson's diagnosis. To full function, virtually no symptoms. A high level of vaped THC seems essential. And 6-7 miles of walking meditation a day.

All anecdotal, of course, but it works for me. Somewhat due to you, of course, so there's that.

My evo finally shipped!

What stings is seeing "order number 64" on the email months after my friends get theirs :( lol.

Soon that will all be over. I'll put it through its paces soon enough. Hopefully its enough to retire the volcano so I can recoup some cash. We will see!

Patience is a difficult virtue. Maybe your number got held back when the beta issues surfaced and you're getting a more worked out deal.

If fedex, and you don't want to hang to sign , you can register and another easy step and reroute to kinkos or somewhere. Mine clocked in @8. Truck never gets here till late. Could have got my babies @8, had to wait.

I am getting mine soon as well, it's coming through usps and should be here this Saturday.

That machine above is a Dr. Who action figure. If you have a picture online and you don't know what it is, you can search google using the photo to find out what it is.

Great Scott!

How did you luck out and get USPS vs Fedex?

Fedex in my area has delivered like 1/10th of my packages successfully. The rest get lost or broken. I'm really hoping that doesn't happen to my cloud. I'd have loved to go USPS or UPS instead.

Tested some Blackberry with the EVO today. We had gotten popcorn buds, and very moist ones, at that.
I needed to pack the ELB a bit lighter, and turn the dial to almost 2, but got a lovely, long session - probably six hits? - and milk chocolate ABV, very even.

That was actually the third ELB. The first two were less than great, thus the adjustments.

I'm trying to learn what exact pitch of the whistle signals the perfect pull speed for me.

It has been over an hour since I turned EVO off. I'm still baked. Very diffuse effects, which tells me great extraction of the full spectrum of goodies. :)

Thanks for the update on the tweaked unit, 6 hits is pretty nice, what % of ELB was packed?

Had some DutchCr maybe similar sticky-tacky. This strain more than most I have to really watch the pack/dial, esp with the narrow band dial. Other strains that easily grind fine and dry do the best. But I knocked out a 1/3 ELB @3:15 and got 90% starbucks dark brown ABV!:ko:
