Discontinued The Sublimator

Can't believe I went that long without a kilawat reader ...
old dimmer switch and Killawat dial in for the win !!

I dislike full temp burn offs so I have a stainless steel brush I use it works perfectly for both the Apollo and atomizer

Mine maxes out at 45

40 seems a bit high for dabs ? 30 for flowers.... As long the room tempurature is stable

I would love a titanium Apollo and Ti atomizer :o

I'm hope my sub doesn't fail and I turn into a raging animal ahah atchall

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I'd twist it and pull as thought you were unscrewing it due to the threading instead of dead pulling and shredding off the teflon causing a loose(r) fit.

PV recommends against taking the Teflon off.

Then why do they sell replacements? Do these replacements come with detailed and illustrated instructions so you don't harm your atomizer? It's a good thing many vaporists are pretty clever and handy to start with. My teflon has a tiny bit of what looks like a retainer ring sticking out, I'm afraid to try to move the teflon at all for fear I would be w/o my sub if I break it.

Probably because they get fucked up. But PV said they are sealed on there somehow that gets ruined on removal.

That's what I thought too. Can't understand why they sell the pieces separately if that's the case :hmm:
who fucking knows? you'd think when you got a 500$ thing they would tell you something about the 12$ they sell optionsal parts for??? Cust Serv?

What happened to your Sub Tweek? I hope they are taking care of you since you were likely the first to buy one and like encouraged others to get one...

Anyway I got mine with w/ 18 mm teflon thing and the little retainer ring was sticking out also and I didnt like that so I ripped it apart with my bare hands and the retainer ring twisted open fell off and .. seems to work just fine without the ring

The best thing is to keep it at 14mm and get a 14-18 adapter if you want to use with a 18mm piece. Really they shouldn't even sell the 18mm IMO
Eh... I'm of the opinion that all pieces should be 18mm and sold with an 18 to 14 reducer. You hit a bottleneck going from 14mm to 18mm since you can't "open" the 14mm joint. 18mm to 14mm you can reduce with no bottleneck. Just my opinion, tho.

Except with the sub the bottle neck is the same...and the sub doesn't fit into an 18-14 adapter too well, not tall enough. Just an observation after having the sub for a while.

Edit: I just re read this and I think we are saying the same thing hahahahahah, we at both saying 18 is better and to use a reducer. I was just trying to say the 18mm Teflon is pointless

Yeah looks like we're both using different words for the same idea lol

Really bad ones........I hope they do a better job with the new models......glad I just have my UFO, keeps me happy and I recently had a 6 person session off it. So much torching it was almost too much. That's when the electric version would come in handy...

I advise that if you take the teflon off (for cleaning purposes) then take it off gently pulling the ring out will reveal that it is in fact just a C-ring which needs to be handled carefully because you can lose it down the drain really easy. But if you lose it a set of pliers and a paper clip bent into the ring area of the atomizer will also keep the teflon sitting in place.

It's been confirmed on the Sublimator twitter feed that the new model(s) will have a fixed auto-shutoff time of 1 hour. It's better than the 30 minute max of the current timer box, but without an override I count it as a big negative against upgrading. I'm hoping maybe Wemo could work with the new timer design or some other simple hack.
