Arizer Solo

I'd take another one out and take it to a Fasco fastener outlet or a good hardware store to try and match up. They are a self tap thread but a normal screw should be OK if careful.
Keep it in a piece of tape in your wallet so you don't loose another. Keep in mind while out and about.
Good luck.
I had some small screws that held my SCANNER together for the CNC machine I had. I lost a couple and had to order $20 worth of screws.
At this point I will just use the unit missing a screw. I thought you might know off the top of your head? I like your ideal of putting a piece of tape on one and bring it to a hardware store.

Is the Solo compatible with any kind of portable battery pack? I've been looking around, but I can't seem to find anything. I'm ok with not being able to use while charging, but I don't want to bring the whole thing inside to charge it. Rather just leave it in my car at all times, and bring out a battery pack to charge it with. Plus, then I can charge it between breaks at work and have a full battery to work with every time.

Why do you no charge from the car's accessory jack?
Can order from dealer or PM me and I may be able to help in that regard.

There is an OEM car charger AND a few aftermarket car chargers for the Solo. See Pipes All-In-One PA/Charger system also. http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-all-in-one-plus-solo-accessory-package-aio.11079/ http://ezvaporizers.com/parts-and-accessories/arizer-solo-car-charger/prod_522.html

Yeah, but that would drain from my car battery, and would be best for charging while driving. I live 10 minutes from work, so it would be really inconvenient to rely entirely on that as opposed to just having some 10,000 mah battery pack that can charge the Solo 4-6 times.

A usb charger would work now that I think about it. Gonna try and dig one of those up.

I'm missing one screw on the bottom of one of my units!
What size do I need?

Size 0 sheet metal screws, rare as they are, work fine. I'd have though it was a metric, but the measurements match the SAE size and the 5/8 long ones I bought for this use fit the extrusion (and threads cut by the factory screw) fine. I got pan head, but if you want a couple PM me an address and I'll see if I can find the little box of them.

Sure, although you have to make it. Very easy if you're into such stuff. I've posted about mine several times over the years, here's the latest version in front of my Solo 'war bag'.

However, I'm with Pipes here. A typical car battery will charge a Solo dozens of times without any notice. And leaving the Solo 'plugged in' doesn't drain it at all after it's done charging.

Interesting. Is that 3 18650's? How many charges do you get out of it? My cigarette lighter plug in is a little messed up in my car, but nothing too serious. Not sure if it works when the key isn't in the ignition tho, although I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Might have to check it out with my GPS in a minute.

Something like this might be the way to go. http://www.altapower.com/duracell-drinvc130-inverter.html

Edit: No still doesn't store power, just converts it. Hmmm.

Any items/materials that can be used as screens during a pinch? My order from PV (which includes screens, among other things) won't arrive until mid next week, and I lost my final screen. I suppose I could run out to a LHS, but I'd rather save the time and money and find a stopgate to last me the next ~3'ish days.

Any help is much appreciated!

Yes, it is. 3 of the high current ones I have for the Cera at present. Since they're about the same capacity as the two in the Solo it'll charge it completely once with a bit in reserve. No magic here......

If you want to recharge it again before going on shore power, change the batteries in the pack. Pretty straightforward.

I use 18350's for my ecig, so it'd probably take a shitload and be a major pain in the ass just to avoid stinking up the house, or I'd have to get a whole new 18650 set up. How bad does the solo reek? What if you just leave the stem or whatever outside? I know I wouldn't want to have the MFLB in my room, so I'm hesitant to get the Solo as an on break at work vaporizer if I have to bring it inside every night.

Yeah, but that would drain from my car battery...

I fail to see the issue. There is no way charging a Solo would drain a properly working car battery. Ever.

Most sink faucets have screens in them to even out the flow of water from the tap... should also thus be available in hardware stores?

Yeah, based on some reading it sounds like a sink faucet screen is the best way to go. Only issue, is of course, what impact that may have on the faucet (and the resulting flow of water) itself.

I can't see what harm it'd do... I'll give it a go. Thanks, Cal.

The water will come out with a stronger/narrower stream. Wont hurt anything, and its easy to replace.

how about cotton?

Hmm... I suppose that could work. Would I shove a cotton ball (or part of one) into the the bowl and pack the weed *botanical* on top of that?

Initial concern would be flammability, but I assume others have tried this technique (with success, I hope)?

Sounds good!

I believe I would have to have the key in the ignition to charge it that way. If I had the key in the ignition turned backwards while it charged, say, overnight, yeah that could be an issue regardless of the Solo.

Cotton wont burn at vape temps, however id only use organic cotton. Non organic may have chemicals and pesticides on that that can vape off (I'm guessing since I have no proof of this). Youd most likely have to shop to find some.

Alright, I'll go ahead and yank the screen from my bathroom faucet. Going to give it a good wash with soap before using it... god only knows what shit has run through that thing for the past 10+ years.

Went ahead and removed the nozzle from my bathroom sink, and much to my delight there were FOUR screens being utilized in that sink. Three flat screens that were the last line of defense filtering the water. And one domed screen that was a bit further up on the track. I took one of the flat ones, and should I need another, there are three more waiting (one of which is already domed!).

The one I took appear to be slightly bigger than the diameter of the stem, so I'll like dome it and pop it in. Got lucky on this one!

.570 seems a good number, based on the ones I have handy. It varies a bit, I'd plan on an o-ring or Teflon seal (perhaps just plumber's tape?).

Good luck with it. Please let us know how it comes out.

Thank you so much!

How far into the solo does the stem go?

Do you have the dimensions of the bowl instead of the steam?

My plan is to 3d print a ceramic enclosure

You're welcome. .755 on this one.

I can't measure the bowl since the seal is smaller and I don't have inside micrometers any more......

Yer on your own there.

Your the "MAD SCIENTIST"!

Your designing ("reverse engineering") with out the part in front of you with no measuring tools?

You must be good?
