Does stuff get lost/wasted when vaping thru water?

^^^I've found this. Taste is sacrificed. It also takes away the ability to feel the vapor, because it cools and conditions the vapor, which for most people is a great thing. For combusters trying to switch over, having to "feel" the hit might be best.

I've also experienced that if the water pipe is dirty or the water is dirty it will add taste to your hits, and not pleasant ones. So for best results, clean after every session.
one time when I used my UD together with a combuster-friend, he also preferred it without the bong.

personally I often use my bong because after a night of vaping withoutr bong, my throat feels dry in the morning.
but sometimes I switch over to dry for one bowl to get more taste.

I don't really notice an added taste when dirty(but often my sense of smell isn't that good, sometimes it suddenly clears up and I discover smells I never knew existed, but sometimes I don't smell anything at all), but I clean it whenever I find that it's starting to look dirty, end up cleaning it once a week or so. and fresh water everyday.

btw, about the exhaled 'wasted'vapor.. there issomething strange I sometimes notice. sometimes, usually when I've been vaping for a while, I load a fresh bowl, then take a hit, it feels like it's a regular or big hit, then I exhale... and no vapor comes out. ok, first hit from a fresh bowl, could happen. but then the second hit, again no vapor.
it doesn't happen that often, and usually only persists for a while/a few hits, but the weird thing is it feels and tastes exactly like taking big hits of vapor, the chamber of my bong fills up with vapor, but the amount exhaled out of my mouth is minimal and doesn't match the rest.

I'm a huge fan of water, but lately I've been going 90% dry.

Been following the theory that has been proposed here on FC by someone else. The size of the vapor particles attribute to how harsh it is. So I've been trying to filter the bigger particles.

I've found nothing sticks the medicine to the wall better than slamming it head first into your glass on a 90 degree angle.

So true. Which brings up the question, does slamming oils into the surface tension of water cause the same effect?

I've been using my Cloud Buddy with the 90 degree angle side for an experiment, w/o water. The amount of oils caught in CB in just two days, while not significant now, will add up pretty quickly in just a couple weeks. Quite a bit of reclaim.

Would this amount of oil roughly be how much would be lost do to a water pipe? I know it's a pretty crude experiment, but wouldn't the results be roughly close if not more residue being left behind on larger pieces of glass.

I myself don't enjoy reclaiming oil that has come into contact with water. Just doesn't look or smell right to me, but then again I haven't tried it.

Wow Dark. Man, the only time I ever experienced a panic attack, actually kind of semi-panic attack, is when I ate too many edibles. Kinda white-knuckled it......:o

But yours is even more odd because it affects you physically but not mentality. Mine was kind of a combo of both, not shaking, but walking around in circles with no place to go. lol
I stopped combustion completely but when I did and even now when I do I start to get a severe throbbing in my left ear. Its my heartbeat and it sounds very sick and stressladen and It always happens. I used to worry until I read that its the nerve behind my ear that might inflame when I smoke. So yea its amazing how when we are young we think just because we don't feel anything that damage ipsnt being done to us by smoking.

I smoked 3 packs of cigs a day for over 20 years. I quit over 30 years ago but when I consider all the damage that I did to my body with not only cigs, but just about every other kind of recreational drug on the planet, I consider myself lucky to be alive and is one of the main reasons I run 20 miles a week. Gotta keep that healing process going.

I'm only 23 but for me it all started junior year of high school. Luckily o have quit ciggs since 2 years and combusting for a year. So yea I feel better but I have a massive amount of mucus every morning that I cough up. Makes me think that the unclear concentrates might be harmful

I think its just I've dealt with anxiety long enough to learn to talk myself out of it mentally, but what is weird is that when it happens I can be alone relaxed as can be, and it'll happen physically still. Benzos are the ONLY thing that stops it, besides sleeping it off which is incredibly difficult. Easy enough, just don't rush and overmedicate.

And I can't do edibles AT ALL or it will induce a very long/strong physical anxiety attack, and a moderate mental one to go with it. Really bums me out, but I just avoid edibles or taking too much vapor at once.
I get jittery legs if I vape a LOT. Goes away after like 5-10 minutes, otherwise perfectly stoned. It's rare though.

As for water stripping taste, terpenes are water soluble so it makes sense. Hence why water curing also removes a lot of the smell and taste (terpenes being leeched).

Since the water is acting as a filter some thc will definitely be lost. I don't think it's much though.
