AA was doing pretty well yea. and fedor was not hurt coming off the rops before the attempted flying knee, look at him when he came off the ropes, hes fine, and waiting for AA to attack. i believe he saw the knee coming.
lindland doesn't have a glass jaw, he just doesn't have a stong one. if your getting pounded from a guy who has gravity and everything moving with him down to your face, and it knocks you out, i dont think its a glass jaw.
faber was amazing, that was a message sent for sure. i think brown can beat garcia but faber should really get another win before a shot at the title, seeing how jens was on a 2 fight losing streak. body shots are awesome, but did you see the whole event? someone went in for a center body shot and the guy who was getting hit timed a knee BEAUTIFULLY right on the guys chin, it was quite amazing how fast he reacted.
cerrone/varner was def a great fight, the cowboy is insanly tough, but i think he needs another win as well before a rematch, he was losing that fight, and if the cards are any indication, he would have lost the fight from a split.

Not trying to disagree with you here but I think its a fairly accepted fact that for a elite level fighter, Lindland is fairly chinny. His wrestling and positional control hide that fact pretty well, but almost all the analysts agreed that if Vitor was to win, it would be via flash KO which is exactly what happens. Anytime you touch his chin, his legs become rubbery and he starts doing the silly dance. He's one tough son of a fun, and if the punch doesn't knock him out, he is very gutsy in the way he fights back. Just wanted to differentitate his heart, versus his chin.

I dunno if Brown is going to get past Garcia. My boy in NM says that Garcia is the P4P hardest punches at Jackson's camp and let's not forget the war he had with Huerta. Garcia is a HUGE featherweight, just like Brown, but with a better skill set IMO. I'm still not sold on Brown as he usually wins by bullying smaller fighters but since Garcia is comparably sized, I don't see Brown doing as well.

If Cerrone keeps on fighting the way he does, he's gonna end up like Nog. That guy doesn't get out of the way of ANY punches but dude got a granite chin and crazy ass cardio. That dude wasn't even breathing hard.

Man, what a weekend of MMA - this weekend is gonna be bonkers. Heart is with BJ, brain is with GSP. Thiago/Machida will be good too! Cna't wait!

browns a powerfully guy, he can hit hard too. i would kinda expect him to take him down and grind it out. the striking is garcia's, but if browns on top, its his to lose.
cerrone is a good canadian boy;) hes fine. hes def a beast. im now a fan.
gsp/penn is going to be epic. i think thiago/machida is not getting enough interest, its going to be awesome.

I also think Fedor saw the knee coming, which is why right as he throws the grenade he makes to stifle the knee with his left arm.

I pretty much retired from active MA, but I think I'll buy Fedor's book anyway. Lays out his approach in plain English, from the excerpt I've seen in amazon.

The Paryisan fight is pretty interesting too, judo versus judo. I'm always down to watch Karo go down, that dude rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah AA was doing well, one mistake is all it takes with Fedor :ninja: >> Quick replay.

Haven't had time to watch the other bouts yet, except for Dan Lauzon vs. Bobby Green... that was kind of unfortunate. Green was doing pretty well with his Hood style  From the replays, none of those cup shots looked as bad as Lauzon acted...

Can't wait for the 31st. BJ is awesome but GSP gets my money. Gonna go with Machida too, elusive vs aggressive... anything can happen, but he's been so damn impressive.

I think BJ looked very impressive in his last few fights, but imho, not quite as impressive (yup you could argue the other way too) as GSP, who fought arguably tougher, certainly bigger and more opponents. I think he still looked a little gassed despite his improved conditioning. Ah well, anything can happen, will be a good one. :D

Side note: this looks... interesting > http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Never_Surrender_(film)

Anyone just catch Primetime on Spiketv??

I thought they wrapped it up nicely and I think this definitely stirred up the fight.

Damn, based on the Spike specials, I have NO CLUE who is going to win. Smart bet is GSP, but there is something about BJ...I'm still up in the air on this one fellas!

So are we waiting 24 hours before spoilers? Maybe just don't read this thread after a big fight if you don't want to see results?

Man, I had goosebumps the whole thing.

haha, i was even with whoever i wanted to win with penn or gsp but fucking eh, gsp looked amazing, i was so impressed with his ground work. everything pen would bring up his legs, gsp would just posture right up and continue to smash on bj, gsp was beautiful. that opposite superman punch was sick. gotta give props to bj for ONE, and only one, thing, one of his return to full guard late in the second round was outstanding.
loyoto(sp?) was great, but i knew the ufc was gonna put a rampage machida fight if rampage wins. if jardine win, he better not get a number one contender bout or it be a terrible mistake.

Jardine went on record saying he will never fight Evan's (same camp).

Getting the fight(s) now. I already read the results,, but that's OK. I really do appreciate you two that did use them above though. I frequent a lot of forums, use to be movie/gaming forums and boy would I go apeshit if people ruined stuff for me. Very considerate of you <3

:)

I'm watching the fights.... man, you can feel the electricity in the air. I'm watching the final fight right now. In all honest, I know little about UFC/MMA but all these fighters are familiar.... especially this French-Canadian guy. When Roegan said he was the Canadian Athlete of the year I paused and loaded a bowl because I knew I was in for a treat... I'm unpausing now.... ;pd; :peace:

Wow, you can tell who the crowd is rooting for...

WTF @ ending.... expected someone to get :ko: At least I didn't pay for it.

stonemonkey55, I know your well versed in 'ass kicking', have you ever stepped in a ring? I'd be interested to hear a tale or two... ;)

penn was pretty knocked out, lol. his chin is, as it said in the beginning, granite. to even hurt this guy with punches is amazing man. i dont even think after the hughes fight is face was bad. and penn who you fight at HW, he can take a punch and a half.

Yeah, GSP just completely dominated the 4 rounds. Way too strong and definitely made penn look like a chump. I'm surprised it wasnt stopped in the 4th. But yeah, great fight. kept me at the edge of my seat the whole way through!
