@mvapes - Great idea.. Not sure how you feel about the bags, but the rubber mouthpiece mates perfectly with a 14mm female glass joint.. :o

Been enjoying the bags with my PN HT.

I heard someone had figured out how to adapt to an HT. Can you post some pics? If this thing can adapt to water this easily than I got some vapes to sell brotha!

I don't know the best way to make it work with a Hydratube, but the bag will fit nicely on a male 14mm joint and the whip works with water pipe adapters you can get at Aqualab (I like the Vapor Brothers angled adapter) and elsewhere, if that helps...

I just hold the green mouthpiece up against the 14mm end of the HT. One hand holds the HT, the other holds the mouthpiece of the bag and squeezes. The shape of the bag's mouthpiece makes it easy to get the alignment right in the center of the 14mm GonG. Do you have a 14mm adapter with a small tube adapter on one end?

Ah, that is great idea using 14mm male adapter. It fits perfect. Something like this adapter would work great if your HT has 14mm female joint. Or this one if your HT has 18mm female joint.

I had to buy a work desk for all the adapters I have. I know I have arizer and vapor brother 90 degree adapters. The nights young bro, were gonna give this bitch a work out tonight.

Do you think the Herbie will be balanced and stable with a Hydratube mounted directly onto it with the 18mm adapter? The HT does have a bit of weight to it w/water. I'd be less concerned with a PWNT, though. Thanks!

I know some HT's are huge, so I wouldn't risk it. I use a small one I bought with my Pinnacle portable a while back and it is very effective paired with Herbie. It can stand on its' own but I usually keep a hand on it. I am hoping they come out with some good attachments that work with the bowl. I was planning to purchase a couple extra bowls but they are listed for $70 on their website (not in stock yet). Ouch!!!

I was giving this some more thought and I'm thinking that a short HT with bent neck would be ideal for the Herbie on the desk top. Something like the VB Simba Fritt (love fritts!!! - perfect for the Herbie Heavy Hitter!). Of course keep a steady hand on it. Whaddya think?

That looks pretty cool, I had a DG frit a while back and really enjoyed it. I do get a little scared holding water over my Herbie, so something to consider for sure. I am also finding I like to remove the herbie mouthpiece from the whip and insert a 14mm adapter to mate Herbie with glass a couple feet away.

I know what you mean... best make sure your water tool is water tight for sure! Wouldn't want drops of H2O to trickle down into the heater assembly. BTW: Chimay - Incredible brew...to pour into a glass you gotta have it almost horizontal or it'll all turn to suds! Stunning flavor! Well worth the price. Enjoy cold!

Almost there...
All i do is slide in a bit of high temp silicone and the mouth piece from the Herbie fits in there perfectly.
No air leaks and very quick and easy to clear the tube by removing the Herbie mouth piece.

HOLY CRAP BATMAN!!!
I decided to try the concentrate pad with the last batch of QWISO i made.
I put a good dollop of oily wax in the centre of the pad.
Turn Herbie all the way up and wait for her to reach temp.
Place bowl on Herbie and ripped as hard as i could!
If i pull slowly i find that it is very whisky but tasty vapour.
I think when you pull hard the metal pad heats up hotter and vaporizers the concentrate.
When i removed the pad it is clean and no traces of anything.
Now i am glad that i kept the wax, it was not very good in any other vape for some reason.

Don't count on me! I just hit 2 bowls of primo Chemdawg. I am not ashamed to admit I am useless, and...

I like it!

Next, I may reset the power counter and leave it plugged in for 24 hours for a better idea of cumulative costs.

Follow up: I plugged my clam into a kill-a-watt and ran it for 7 days. I didn't keep track, but I'd give a rough estimate of 7-9 sessions per day. 50-55 sessions seems like a good number, perhaps more (I love this thing!). It was kept plugged in during the week, so a week of vampire sucking is included in the numbers.

Verdict: I measured 0.37 kilowatt/hours of use. That's substantially less than 0.01 kw/h per session. Perhaps even half that if you unplugged the unit (or switched off a power strip) between sessions.

Hypothesis: Is this the most "green" vaporizer? Vaporization would seem to have a much lower carbon footprint in the first place, but low energy costs could help the clam appeal to more consumers. Can anyone tell us what other vaporizers draw for power?

I figured out how to fire up one easter egg on mine, but I kinda don't want to share. Is it ok to feel like the "cool kid" for the five minutes before y'all find it?

Edit: Also I am, at this point, ridiculously medicated on the aforementioned Chemdawg. If this wasn't my go to strain, I'd be having a psychedelic panic attack right now. As it is, I cannot hold my wig on. I made the deadly mistake of trying to sesh the Herbie at my smoking rate. I put a couple of big bowls back to back, and I am pretty sure I professed my love to strangers on facebook.

This vaporizer is extremely efficient for me. That is subjective in so many ways, but I am not the only one reporting on how this thing drops the hammer on ya.

I think thats what I want to contribute as my first piece of useful information to FC: that if you are on the fence about an Herbalizer, cross your relative tolerance issues off the list of questions. That's a heavy statement, I know, and this thing is expensive. But for a guy who has had an on and off love affair with mj over many years, has known the tolerance of wax-heads, and the baby tolerance of a man who has not smoked pot in 14 years.... this thing is a straight punch in the face.

Last edit: I had to edit this 900 times. TBI + Herbie = mental incapacitation.

all good in the hood.
hey! just checking in after playing with herbie for a bit.

I know someone mentioned this above, but thought it was worth mentioning again.

herbie might just be the "combustion killer" :)

I have had friends try my vaporizers over the years. Some have liked vaporizing, some were converted immediately (like me) and some just did not like it when compared to combusting.

They could not get over the usual feeling that they felt when combusting.

A couple of the usual suspects tried herbie and have decided it is a better way to go :)

They were finally satisfied with the results like they had smoked.

This is the one that might finally convert people.

fingers crossed :)

^Well I must say, as a recently converted smoker, that at least at the moment I feel like I hate smoking. It really caught me off guard, considering I had bought and tried a couple of vaporizers and never experienced this violent reaction against smoking.

Edit: Just discovered my first Herbie tip/trick! I'll call it the "hands-free stir", and all you have to do is pulse the fan a couple of times mid hit. About an hour ago I was ramping up temp for further extraction. On this bowl, I am trying pulsing the fan mid-hit, every few hits. As we know from cleaning a bowl, Herbie will stick ground up product to the roof of the bowl. Based on the hit thickness I can restore at my fav temp (395), I surmise that giving the fan a couple of short pulses stirs up the bowl. I got more out of this last serving. The pulses weren't even very accurate, or immediately on/off, I am too stoned for that. Try it, and let me know!

@mvapes

Can I take your silence here for the rest of the night as a sign of success?! I can just see you now...too mediated to communicate!

Looks like @mvapes is out of commission or else playing Gollum "My Precious" with his Herbie!!!

I finally managed to get my buddy over last night to give the Herbie a run for it's money!
He is a heavy smoker of joints and one hitter pipes, so any vape has a lot to live up to with him!
He actually came over prepared for a change! He had not smoked for a long time and was ready to test!

I loaded up a 1/2 bowl with MadShack and we both took hits at 190 Degrees C until there was no more vapor. We used the whip by itself and also attached my Pinnacle WT, which he really liked.

By the end of the first bowl he was feeling pretty good!
By the end of the second bowl he was done...
My face was numb, numb arms, tingling legs and no pain and very medicated!

This vape has changed how he looks at them!
He was able to get massive clouds easily but on the exhale they caught him by surprise, he does not really liosten to me when i tell him to be careful...
Anyway a very successful test that the Herbie passed with flying colors!!

Can't wait to hook Herbie up to a proper bubbler in the future!

The reviews on this are so good, i'm starting to wonder if I should get it before I replace my wheelchair.

The chair is a bit over $2k, and it'll make it easier for me to get around. But it sounds like the Herbalizer might work much better on my pain than even my OG cloud, which of course can make not having a power chair easier to deal with.

Always in a state of confusion and silliness♀
arf, you need your chair to get around and have something that works. I would say the chair comes before the herbie. you will lose more independence without the chair and so you are going to get medicated and then can't do anything. Save up and get it when you can. They might have some new wonderful exciting revisions by then:).

Boys and girls, i told you I was going to give Herbie a work out last night. Let's just say that I have something in common with the Auburn Tigers - we both got our asses kicked last night!

As far as performance Herbie IS everything I had hoped for. But, a few simple things I noticed that may answer some questions...

1) There needs to be a better sealing mechanism on the whip. What I noticed while vaping under a UV bulb is vapor escaping from the connection and it needed to be re-adjusted a bunch of times throughout my session. This may explain the heavy odor numerous members have mentioned.

2) This may be me being a stickler but when it comes to my toys, especially a toy as expensive as Herbie. When closing my lid - I wish there was a either a magnet or locking mech where the lid closes tight each and every time.

3) I believe when Josh designs a Gong adapter he should sell it with a separate whip. It needs to be smaller, and in my opinion - when your using high quality glass and have good diffusion you tend to pull much differently than you would on a whip alone. On top of that the assisted lung makes for massive vapor which couldn't possibly travel fast enough through the original whip because of it's narrow diameter.

When I adapted to water it almost felt like buying a V8 camaro and putting 1 inch exhaust pipes on there. When using the whip by itself having a little back pressure is good, makes for a steady stream of vapor. That's why when medicating, using the whip is best.

But, with that being said - in no way shape or form should anyone take this as a negative. This device is everything Josh promised. It feels solid, I tried looking for areas they may have cut corners but I promise I can't find it. My comments are solely to help the developer with things for the future. This device is a keeper, it's going to be around for a long time. I see so much potential for what Herbie is going to bring to the medical community.

Vito and Slim - you were right with your advice, I couldn't be more appreciative.

Nice review @mvapes !!

A few pages back there was much discussion about the connection of the whip to the bowl.
I gathered that you need to push and twist the whip connector slightly when connecting the two together.
If i just push it in i do get some small leaks but when i push and twist lightly the seal is perfect on mine.

It should take a fair tug and twist to release the whip again.

On another note: Is the whip and connector cleanable in ISO?
Mine is already nice and brown!!

You're probably right. It's just that I could afford the Herbie now, but at least another month til I can afford the chair. And like others, my EVO still hasn't appeared, making the Herbalizer even more tempting.
Of course my sister in Canada reminded me if I'd moved there I'd get a new chair covered now. Hoping my law firm will open a Vancouver office.
