Quick question I want to get a bit more info on the core what's the advantages for the hammer and sr-74 if I use it with the core

Well both those accessories are heavy hitters, and would benefit from a steady stream of power that the core is designed to deliver. From using the hercules, I know when the batteries lose enough juice, it performs poorly. More than once, I took herc apart after getting wispy hits, only to find it was just that the batteries had discharged too much to give enough juice that behemoths like herc and the hammer require. I think the new tops blink when the batteries get low. Of course with the core, that never happens.

Edit: I just sold myself on the core.

My herc reading 1.7ohm but performing poorly. Took out the ceramic rod aand no amount of boiling or iso will take the black sludge off of it. What sshould I do?
First just replace it in there, remove outer shell, mouthpiece, airflow cap, and coil. Then just hold the button and cook it for 20 seconds at a time until white. If that fails after a few tries, remove rod and slide a small penknife blade gently down the side and try again.

Had an issue with low grade wax ONCE. Learned my lesson. Had the same issue then as you do now.

I should be getting my core tomorrow. Can anyone tell me what volts I can run on the hercules and bender safely?

Hmm suddenly i am unable to get the herc itself (inner part, no bottom insulator or outer shell) to register anything under about 6 ohms. i tried to pull out the ceramic rod for cleaning, it's stuck in there pretty well so i guess i will have to break out the torch tomorrow :(

it doesn't look like the rod should though i think....

ill get a better pic tomorrow when the rod is removed but i t looks like there is a good size split down the middle i dont remember

The Core comes with a booklet I think it states you can run the Herc. up to 7.5. I have played around with different temps and have been pretty happy at 7.0. I am using the Core/Herc/Bender strictly. I was ready to drop the Bender until I got the Core. I just hated the Battery issues. I could not ever be sure that my batteries were going to run consistently enough to warrant a comfortable relationship with my vape. I have three sets of batteries and smoke pretty heavy. I was finding that I could get one really good session per battery change. Thats definately not enough batteries for my needs. I wanted the Bender strictly for home use and with the Core I have finally got that.

Heat it up a little and push it up from the bottom. If you pull it out through the bottom, all the black shit in the rod will scrape off in to the bottom of the cart and you will have a burnt taste right after you torch your ceramic. If you have it all apart, might as well give it a clean up...

Good luck!

Just warm up the piece that holds the rod and push it out instead of trying to pull it. The unvaped shit is probably clumped onto the rod not allowing you to pull it out. My Herc rods all have that join in the middle.
@exit darb is right ...push the rod out from he bottom. Also groove down the side is part of the design. No worries. Try checking herc assembly for ohm issue. Barring that, ask THC to Skype you.

Edit....just saw Caligula and bleeds responses too... spot on.

Does anyone know the exact specs of the o-rings for the Nibbler XL? I asked a page or two back but no-one has replied. I want to order some replacements and they come in bags of 100 where i found them online, so I want to make sure I get the right size the first time. But I'm not sure how to measure them, so if THC Scientific or anyone else could help, please let me know. Thanks in advance.

So what you think is the core worth it?
Ya for sure now I dont have to worry about my batteries dying on me when Im out doing shit and if I need to cut loose I got a fully charged batteries ready! As for function I haven't gotten the chance to fully test it out, I want to see how the bender performs and the black rod at 4v
