OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
I was thinking to plug it back into the charger whenever I’m not using it. But a couple of questions occurred to me:

-Any chance that it will “overcharge” or otherwise ruin the battery?

-Isn’t it better to wait for the battery to cool down before charging or is it ok to charge it warm/hot?

I was not sure what the charging etiquette is for this battery either.

I took it out today to show off to some people. I managed to get four sessions out of it before the battery ran out. I am going to need at least two spare batteries.

Wtffffffffff replacement lids have been taken off the site along with the external chargers,,,,,, hope it's just out of stock :/

Double post edit:

Just got an email from FF and they advised that the chargers and lids are just out of stock and will be back "in the next week".

The picture of the spare battery on their site says li-ion so here's some info:

http://batteryuniversity.com/learn/article/how_to_prolong_lithium_based_batteries
I understood the battery to be Lithium-Polymer, which is different than Lithium-Ion.

http://www.androidauthority.com/lithium-ion-vs-lithium-polymer-whats-the-difference-27608/

"After reading all of the pro’s, con’s, and specifications of both battery types, you can see that there isn’t much of a competition here. Although the lithium-polymer battery is sleeker and thinner, lithium-ion batteries have a higher energy density and cost less to manufacture. Therefore, we obviously know which one is chosen by companies like Samsung, Apple, Motorola, and more. Finally, with new chemicals and such being added to these batteries often, who knows which will come out on top in the long run. The only thing we do know is that this phone, will be sporting a very thin and transparent lithium-ion battery."

It appears that Firefly went with the more expensive Lithium-polymer. Wonder why? Is it becasue of the temperatures?

How much were they charging for both?

Anyone notice any "play" or "wiggle room" around where the mouthpiece goes into the unit? My is a little loose and the mouth piece sits just slightly crooked with the right side just a hair lower than the left.

I paid 0 because of FC discount, but they were 30 bucks battery and 55 charger.

I just noticed mine is a little off center too.

Still no answer on this... does anyone know?

RE: The removable wire mesh screen that's inside the bowl.

When cleaning my Firefly, I got curious and wanted to see how easy it was to replace. It's somewhat easy to remove with the black toothpick provided... but putting it back in was difficult / near impossible (especially if you aren't wanting to scratch the glass bowl). In fact, based on the instructions provided on the Firefly website, I tried using the aforementioned stick but it ended up bending the circular mesh. Eventually I got it in, but it's not as nice as it could have been. I also fear that some small bits of wire mesh may have separated from it. Any thoughts on this? Any alternatives to using this mesh? Should I be opening up the main unit using a Torx T6? Anyone else having this issue?

Would love to hear some expert opinions! Thanks!!

Thx. Guess my FF is fine.
What's the FC discount on the charger and batt? I got a small disco on the unit itself through that podcast that the FF guys did but didn't see anything in this thread about charger/batt.

Looks that was a mistake, and they corrected it. It's now at the same MSRP that FF is asking.

At 10:45 I placed an order for one @$30 (plus an extra battery). Got a confirmation a couple of minutes later. I see you are right that the price is now $55. I was going to wait until after lunch to order. Good thing I didn't. Now to see if they'll honor the posted price I paid.

Ok so firefly emailed me and said no doesn't know of price change, @mckeen

@grokit I swear it has always been $30, at least since I first Went on their site like 12/20

@steama can you give us tips on screen replacement? I'm a little intimidated by it to be honest. Also I completely AGREE %1000 %, they refunded my $13, they respond to my emails so freaking fast, and then they even commended me for responding to them lol,

@ShayWhiteGrow me too re mouth piece

Edit: typo and addition

A few FF (redundant) musts from your favorite titty:

Dry material
Coarse grind
Almost overflow the bowl
Pack down (ever so lightly) and stir as you go

If material is bone dry no need for any preheat.

Visible vapor is wasted medicine from what I understand

I can get good and medicated from first 2 hits

@steama Care to make a video showing us how to do this in under a minute? Did you just use the pic provided? How did you avoid not bending the edges of the mesh?

Also, does anyone know where else I can buy this wire mesh at a discount or do I have to go to through Firefly? Same thing goes for extra batteries... or are these proprietary?

@tufftitty Where did you hear that visible vapor is wasted medicine? For me, that's how I really know I took a large hit. Am I mistaken?
