The tufftitty review

It got here, charged in about 30min. I broke it up meds by hand, put them out to dry this am, filled one bowl, no pack. I held down button until it was orange. Slaw draw, first hit all delicious flavor, no visible exhale, 2nd produced vapor sensation in throat and I exhaled substantial cloud, took until about 3rd or 4th pull till I figured out draw, each pull still produced visible clouds, stired bowl and got another 3 big pulls,, examined bowl and stirrd again with minimal packing, and I still did not combust! Abv is dark brown man real dark, wowza. Onto next bowl, be right back ;)

Oh yeah IM REAL MEDICATED MAN

So first time user produces clouds and dark brown abv :p

Just wondering, how much time between hits ( from releasing button to pushing it again ) to avoid heat cycle starting again and causing eventually "hot hit"?

Every push of the button re-starts the heat cycle. It's not a function of time before you push it again...it's a function of whether you have finished your hit. If you hit the button again mid-heat, you are risking a heat spike at a point where the material is already heating, and where the device is warm and holding heat that hasn't been carbed out of the path yet. If you wait, finish your hit (i.e. suck out the rest of the heat, causing the bowl to cool down), when the heat cycle begins again at the start of the next button push, you won't be overheating the material. Bottom line: finish your hit by continuing to draw after you release the button, and you can re-press and start another hit almost immediately.

Nice. Congrats! Glad you got such good results so quickly.
It could be a glitch. Haven't tried again. I'll wait a bit.

As others mentioned, they are usually really responsive in email. (If you send them mail via their webform, you get assigned a ticket number and get an auto-reply mail...just like a real customer service dept! :) So if you haven't tried that, give it a shot. That kind of system has no tolerance for non-responsiveness...when tickets are left open people get yelled at.:p)

I needed to RMA my firefly (#0014). The view-port gasket was protruding (pic) out of the box and quickly came dislodged. Sarah C immediately took care of it. Don't worry about the rejected emails - IT issue on their end. Try using the live-chat feature during PCT hours.

As for the firefly, I love it, can't wait to get it back.

I think the red ff looks absolutely stunning. A little low on funds after the holidays, but this might be my next vaporizer to buy. Did anyone find out if the red ff is sold out?

It's curious that the company did not come on FC to help sell their product? Maybe it was confidence that they had a good product.

I guess not all vaporizer manufacturers come on FC to promote their product.

I noticed my gasket was also slightly popped out a few days ago.
I was fortunately able to get it re-seated properly with a small flat head screwdriver before it popped out to a point that would have required dis-assembly.

Hey guys!

I've been checking out the FF and this thread for the past 2 weeks and I can see myself purchasing a FF in the near future. I wanted to know if this vape is good a conserving? I read you only need about .2 fairly grounded herb and I've seen videos with extremely impressive vapor production? I just wanna know if this is more efficient then your normal whip/desktop vape.

Also can you use the FF while plugged I know not defeats the portable purpose but still something good to know if say.

Thanks in advance guys :)))

I got a mail from sweet Sarah first thing in the morning!!! They appear to want my business after all but they can't ship anywhere outside North America yet… :(

I have already mailed Vapeworld though and I hope I can get it from there after all! Very excited!!! They also appear to have chargers and extra batteries and they also have a package with these two and a cleaning kit for 40$ only… Not bad of a deal… ;)

Same thing happened to mine. Except mine came from the inside of the lid when I was a cleaning her. I spoke to them about using some sort of thread seal on the screws that hold the view port together. We will see, I got my own bottle of lock tite just waintin.

Sadly, Vapeworld doesn't seem to ship FFs as well outside N. America… I tried to check out but I got this: "We're sorry, but at this time, a vaporizer you are trying to purchase cannot be shipped to your country."

I'll wait for their mail response but I don't have my hopes up really… :(

Still in search of a kind FC fellow vaporist to ship me one…

EDIT: Vapeworld doesn't even ship to Canada! WHAT????

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
Got my shipping notice this evening. Only ordered it last night.

Red one to be delivered Sat.

Question: is it signature required? If so, need to coordinate so somebody will be here to sign.

Yes, it requires a signature. So freaking jealous. Red one, wanna trade?

From my experience in the begining figureing out your technique may take a little extra battery. After a few charges my battery lasted long enough that I never missed a thing. It charges in less that 40 minutes.

Ordered a silver one last Friday morning, got the order confirmation but no shipping confirmation. Was giving them an extra day or so with the holiday but with others stating they are getting shipping notices and I got nothing...starting to wonder what's up

Dont mean to bother but could someone chime in on my questions? I am really considering this to be my next vape and I would like to get a little more info before I pull the trigger.

Is the FF efficient as in will a .2 or however big a load is get you fairly medicated? My concern is my current herb vape is a huge hog and I can blow thru my supplies fairly easily. and can this vape be used plugged in

Yes, I just got mine yesterday so I'm still devolving a technique. Im in the process of learning how use as a one hitter. In the beginning you will certainly blow thru a lot of meds just learning your technique. So in my limited experience you should he able to get decent mileage out of your meds once you get situated.

No can't be used while charging.

Ok, some more updates:::::

I tried a second strain and it mustn't have been dry enough so it produced lackluster clouds.

That being said, I was have already made myself cough quite a bit with this little beast.

I also went out and purchased a cosmetics brush instead of using the supplied one.

Looking forward to tonight where I can further practice my technique. Thanks to everyone,

I'm going to buy a 2nd lid just to satisfy my OCD sensibilities :3

Yes, they do indeed ship to Canada as I just ordered one yesterday. Stacey M at Vape World had to do the order by phone as their are a few glitches with their site. I got the same message when trying to order online, but she was a sweetheart and took care of everything. It shipped yesterday as well.

Good luck.

So 2 quick questions for everyone, as far as drying my material specifically for the FF, is it best to leave out to dry in bud form and then break up when ready or break up first then dry? (FYI I live in Florida with the high humidity). Also I read that one tablespoon of abv is enough to medicate, is that true? (I've never bothered to save abv before)

Thanks guys ;)

Email them and ask for Sarah C. They have been having a hard time getting info from shipping/recieving dept. Sarah has stayed on top of my orders and has been one excellent agent for Firefly. My order for Nor Cal came out of Seattle, WA by way of Henderson, NV and arrived at my door in 2 days before 11:00 am. And on the web site my account said, "processing".

A second lid, that may be my next order after I get my free battery and charger. What a deal.

The Firefly can really make your herbs last. Compared to the Pax it's like a V8 compared to a 4 cylinder.

I dry my material then cut up with scissors. I'm in Nor Cal, where we have been experienceing a bad drought. No problem with humidity here. I do know the Firefly will dry your herb really quick. First draw may be weak but watch out for the second and third.

I think that a rough grind or shred is perfect for the ff, as you want to have a lot of airflow and minimize the fine particulates. If your bud is not dry and you have no grinder, you will have a problem breaking it up and may have to resort to scissors--but this isn't as good because the result isn't as uniform. Once it's broken down into smaller pieces it doesn't matter if it's not dry, it will just take a bit longer to vape.

The grinder I have makes everything just on the verge of powder, gonna go grab a new grinder in a few minutes. Thanks
