You can also get NSF-51 on Amazon. Little more expensive than U.S. Plastics, but shipping is cheaper.

There is tubing sold that claims "food grade" or "medical grade", but you only can be sure by looking at its specification. Both that at Amazon and the Tygon, meet the spec.

I just bought some Tygon tubing online from US Plastics, though I hesitated at first because of the S/H charges [$16.38 for 10 ft- via UPS]. I called the company & they told me to accept the UPS charges & continue to the checkout. There's an 'Order Comments' where you can request USPS Priority Mail. It kinda worked for me, except they charged me the $16.38 anyway. I had to call for an adjustment. I ended up paying $5.27 for shipping. The downside here is that you can't tell what the S/H will cost upfront. Maybe ordering over the phone would be better.

So, the tubing I got fits the NO2... but it is really "floppy" and kinks easily. It does stretch enough to fit over the nipple of the Aquavape, but in the end, I decided that I prefer to stack the AV on my (cheap-ass) bong, and went back to the NO2 tubing.

It was a nice try. and, I have some extra tubing that I have no idea what I'll do with...

Tubing is a funny thing. I still don't understand it but read that if it is stiff it has less something in it and is better for heat but harder for us to put over things. I boiled some glass the other day using tubing to stop the banging against the pot. I had no idea if the tubing would hold up. The results were as follows: I used ssv tubing for one piece of glass on both sides and it stretched and got way softer then it already is. The other glass had TET tubing on it which was a bit softer but held up a mess load better. I had to soak the four pieces I used in boiling water to restore them to almost original shape. Again the TET tubing did way better. I think they use tubing from that masters place but not sure which type exactly. Now the stranger part was when I was soaking it the SSV tubing sinks and the TET tubing floats. Any ideas why this would happen? I found this strange and it shows that there is a huge difference in composition of the tubing. I don't think the SSV tubing is rated for high heat and I doubt the NO2 tubing, which I use as well but haven't boiled, yet will fair well either. We need a balance of high temp tubing and it being soft enough to put over whatever connection we try to make.

That shipping is stupid high at US Plastics and why do they use ups for a piece of tubing ugh. I was going to order from them but maybe not now. Let us know how the tubing is with heat and softness please.

My whip right now is getting very dirty, I have to order some new tubing from PV
In the meantime, is there anything bad about reusing tubing over more than a few months, it's really brown, & the 'blowback' from my waterpipe has introduced moisture into one end of the tubing
could there be a bacterial concern about reusing our old tubes?

@420GanjX if you clean your whip with ISO you should be good to go. You can use a discolored whip for years if you want as long as you keep it clean. An Iso soak and warm water rinse.

IMO, cut off another section of tubing and throw the old stuff out. Even after trying to clean, that stuff can smell something fierce..

I've gone through maybe 15-20 feet in a year, and to have nice clean, non-smelly tubing always ready so I can taste/smell my fresh herbs more than herbs I vaped a month ago.. Estimated at a cost of about $3/mo?

That's less than what you spend on deodorant, bro! No need to be so smelly! :)

(Of course, others are entitled to different opinions... I wouldn't take them as a roommate, though)

EDIT: removed comment about warmed ISO use with tubing, second time i tasted sweetness indicating plastics were picked up, i've discarded the whip for a glass tube now since i'm too stingy to toss THC oil that accumulates in the tube
ISO warmed to 160F really works fast tho

Yes I know how old this quote is. That being said I just wanted to let people know that iso has a sweet taste to it naturally, and this has nothing to do with "picking up plastics". Also FWIW silicone tube is very compatible with long term exposure to isopropyl alcohol.

Someone help this dummy out....I need tubing for my Herbalizer, I see 1/4 , 3/16...etc as tubing sizes, but the numbers for Herbie a 0.25 and 0.35, which I don't see as an option when choosing sizes. I can't figure out what I need and herbalizer never seems to having stock. Thanks for any insight into my lack of understanding.

New poster here and new to forums in general. I have a big concern though. I recently made a whip with some aquarium silicone tubing from a local fish store.it is a blue silicone tubing. Very flexible and perfect for what i need to use. I need to know if its safe to use and not realeasing and cancer chemicals because i vape a lot everyday around 377-380°. The man at the store I bought it from said it was food grade because I asked. Considering it would be safe for fish I think it would be for me.
Please give me some input. And thank you.
Here is a link to the exact tubing I have purchased from the store

Is this a good price for 20 foot of SSV tubing? (to fit my Arizer Exterme Q) I already ordered 3 foot of it and it's perfect. Soft, flexible and durable. I am going to invest in a decent amount of it and then just cut off a fresh length of hose when I need it. Bear in mind that SSV charge $20 shipping to Australia :( which really increases the price for me.

Otherwise, does anyone know of a cheaper place to get this stuff in extreme lengths? (strictly a level of quality equal or greater than this wonderful SSV whip!)
