I'm a little bit worry because the power switch is erratik with all my batteries (olds and news) and now it don't work at all (no light, no heat)...
I was able to vape good 2 bowls (one of herb, 2nd of kief), the 3d was combusted really fast at the second draw in less than 4s and the last one was never vaped except the first draw, and nothing work now, do you think that I need to try to check if there is a bad contact in power switch?

That's not clear. You didn't answer my question about the rattle. If the batteries are rattling, I have a suggested fix.

I made a mistake Pak, I tried again with the battery in the FV (before I tried the battery alone) and yes there is rattle now, do you have any idea?

All I wanted for Christmas was a Flashvape PA... Keep up the good work, but faster! Nonetheless, it's great that you are taking your time to get the PA right, Flashvape. Happy New Year!!!! Here's to plugging in in the near future!

The rattle comes from the power switch and sometime something stucks the power switch but no contact anymore, I'm thinking to check into the power switch but I need to take of wires and I'm not sure to be able to put them again in the rigght place (not enough place and the good tools).

Perhaps it might better to send it back again...

I had similar symptoms and the cause was a collapsed spring in the base switch. If you look inside the base you will see a contact pillar. If I am right, it will not be sticking up much. It should be at least 2 mm tall, usually taller. If it is shorter than that then the spring has probably collapsed. You can try to tes test whether this is your problem by placing a conductive spacer in there. I used a coin, but you could use a washer or even aluminum foil. If the spring hasn't collapsed too much yet, the spacer should bring your FV back to life temporarily. It will depend on the degree of the collapse.

I hope that's the problem, because you can fix the spring yourself. Find a tool that you can insert in those holes so that you can use them to unscrew the switch in the base. It's not hard once you find something to unscrew it with. Once it is unscrewed you will see a heavy spring. Gently stretch this spring out a little, but don't overdo it. If you stretch it too much it will fail altogether. When you screw the switch back into the base, this will restore contact and your FV will work again. I fixed mine a few weeks ago now and it has been working well ever since.

Hope this cures your FV. Good luck!

Hi Pak, the contact pillar in the base is more than 2mm tall and rattling comes from the power switch not the base switch and sometime I feel that something stuck the switch....

That's unfortunate. The power button is the one component of the FV that I haven't taken apart. The only suggestion that I can think of is to blast the switch with some compressed air to see if that blows anything out, but if it is rattling then my guess is that the spring inside that switch has failed. We'll have to wait for @FlashVAPE's assessment.

The spring seems work because when I push the switch on it come back off alone, I think a very tiny component is broken in the power button... and yes, I need to wait for FV assesment.

This vape is awesome but it was failed more than worked since I get it...I had plenty hopes about it but I'm really unlucky (I'm a really carefully man).

I pulled out my FV last night and after a bowl was thinking of a way to hook up a WT.
Would only recommend for users who have a good grasp on using the FV without looking at the window. This is for the counters as trusting your taste will be off do to the added coolness of the vapor. ;)
Used the same plug I use to add a mouthpiece to the top of my WTs. Fit in the FV in place of the glass. Converts it to a 14mm glass stem. I was using the regular mouthpiece as a carb.

Used for a bowl and was an experience for sure. Really nice offerings but have to multitask and think more with the added complexity of carb and no visual. The carb and power button can get mixed in the head.? Did not even attempt the third session as the proceeds of the second made the calculations just too risky....at the time. If you know what I mean. :freak:

Wait pipes what am I missing.................seems like something I want to do even not liking water. I want more satisfying hits from the fv and that might be the ticket. What is the piece you put instead of the glass? I see a gong but does it have a carb hole cause I don't have one with a carb only pvhes which still might not work as it lets air in. Tell, tell all.........................................:)

You want my secrets?
OK, for you I will. The important part is a 14mm connector, this one has a screw thread as well. 6 bucks delivered. (takes a good month though)
Next is the silicon plug. I searched and could only find in quantity as I stated in the Solo thread. Was looking for a way to use a smaller mouthpiece for the WTs. The 14mm also serves well for this by itself.
Then I figured I'd use the silicon spread that I now use for the stands I make. Not economical for most but as I already had some. So why not. There are flask stoppers out there which will do the job.
Just stuck the connector in the top of a candle stick holder and put the spread around it to cure. Removed and added a little more and stuck in the WT with some extra silicon on top to make the lip. Made another one for the F-Bomb which actually goes over the glass lip somewhat to offer protection from falling over.

I used the normal mouthpiece hole as the carb.

Geez, next you'll want me to explain this......

Are you trying to tell me we can't find a hung of silicone without doing a "pipes"?
I am with rudeboy we love to see and know how you do your mods as they are always fun. Now the fact that we can never do them is another issue or jealousy. I was thinking a cork but didn't know if it could take the heat. It was in my mind cause I want to cork somehow the ssv wand cause I spill herb and kief all over my bed all the time ok and I did spill water last few days as well cause I was using water. I know unusual for me. I need huge heavy hits as my pain was very high. BTW I know there was silicon stoppers for the wt, I wonder if they were high heat? I don't have them but at some point there were some that were shipped with them.

We are listening pipes as always...........................

You might be better off just using the 14mm glass screw on a tube and secure the FV to your desk. Then you can only spill the water end of it. LOL. Maybe a bib...jk.:p
These silicon stoppers are the type we need (I think?) Finding a source which sells singles is the pita. I can't find a temperature rating but assume can't be too bad as used with laboratory apparatus and are autoclavable.
The lip on some of them look good for self fitting into the FV.
Remember, using it like this you loose 2 of the 3 senses for inhaling timing. But if you know your FV, and start slow it works well.
Hope that answers your question...?

What's up with that PA looking thingy in that there picture ? That's my question.
Ohhhh, that.
LOL, it was a project I was working on last spring but figured I'd pass as Jerry was coming out with one. Tried a couple methods with the last one getting very close.
Conventional regulators could not cut it. Too much current @ 3.7 volt. But did figure out an alternative method to deliver the power.
Very curious to see the FV solution.

Nice woodwork i see there on the base Pipes!

Now a sneak peak at the FVPA base solution for your enjoyment!

FVPA_base_2.jpg

FVPA_base_1.jpg

COSMO BLACK // GUN METAL // SILVER BULLET
The FVPA "tripod" base design is finalized, and will be made available in the above 3 colors. The design incorporates omni-directional openings which allow the very flexible, custom made FV silicon power cord to come out from the bottom in any direction, while allowing the unit itself to freely stand upright on its own when attached to the FVPA system.

I promise the FVPA itself will be well worth the wait :)

About my power button issue FV send me a new one and give me instructions to replace it, I don't get it yet.

the PA seems nice, I'm awaiting the first reviews....
