Discontinued Omicron Vaporizer for oils

I'd like to know what u put in the omi cart to claim hundreds of hits per gram of concentrate?
2.7 ohm carts definitely give hundreds of hits. I do not count 30 sec hits as 1 hit though, if you count it as 3 then the claim is very true. 1.5 ohm with long hits and a 1/2g load is going to be closer to a 100hits or less IMO.

Btw I can burn through a 1/2g in a Cera EO cart through water in less then 20 long hits.

I been through lots of trial and error with my o-light and 5 carts, all 2.4 but one 1.5. And $$ finding a quality and consistent concentrate to medicate with. Frustrating but necessary to achieve best results. Found a shop near me that has some killer hash oil that burns really clean tastes delicious! Omicron is badass. Thanks w9.

CO2 oil works well in those carts too.

I really think this is the key to it all, the concentrate. If it does well in 'the foil test' it'll almost certainly perform well in Omicron. OTOH, concentrates that don't (won't melt and flow freely or leave lots of residue) don't stand a chance. Best save them for a LAYG cart like KISS......or better still leave them at the dispensary.

My advice is once you find a concentrate that works well, stock up on it. A local place had some wonderful Sour Diesel wax for $30 a gram a while back, I'm glad I stashed some.

I agree. Since I discovered CO2 oils I've sought them out. They all seem to feed well and not leak. Lots of flavor too usually, more I think than most. Usually with lower THC content which is probably related? And as above, if I try a gram and like the taste, I'm likely to pick up a few more grams to stash. It's sure to get used, and I doubt price is going down or availability up a whole lot?

I think it's cool that a gram of nice CO2 oil lasts a lot longer than a gram of fine bud.....or an eighth, or a quarter for that matter. I consider it s sound investment in my future.....and besides I deserve it, I've been good, just ask Santa.

HELP! please fellow omicron connoisseur's!!!!!!

my honeycomb crumble (blue dream to be specific) was loaded into my 2.4 cart and i melted it and kept lighting it till it got to the bottom got a couple decent rips then didn't really feel the nice air flow anymore and so i took one more and put it down....came back and had to suck in extremely hard while pressing the button to pop the clog then i took a few more rips and then put it down i now tried and after pressing the button a few times for 5 secs each put my mouth on the cap and sucked really hard to create a hole through the air hole filled with honeycomb i guess??? and now the air hole is filled to the top with liquid crumble i guess....what should i do i believe their is still .8 in this cartridge and it still heats up and stuff

Heat up a paperclip and gently push it down the air hole until you feel resistance. Repeat as necessary. Also I suggest reading the Vaporpedia wiki on this unit.

Yes I thought my spit my have accidentally went through the mouthpiece but I don't think so and It wasn't sizzling before. I just don't want it to be burning through all my wax
Typically due to moisture. Are you sure the concentrate was clean and purged properly?

spit can get in fast... if there is a clog, and you have to suck a bit to get it to pop.
The soft silicone will pull a drop of saliva from your lips, and draw it into the hole that you now have under vacuum condition.

If that's the situation then what do I do? But I started heating up the side with a lighter ad it was starting to sorts sizzle and crackle and a bunch if oil flooded out the air hole

I recognize the symptom, but have no consistent cure.
You can stick a syringe with needle in there and suck out the contents of the center tube.
Exercise caution heating that cart with lighter... you can damage internal seals.

okay thank you! i scaled out my cart and it weighs around 8.9G so I'm figuring it has about .9 in it.... what keeps happening though is ill press the button and suck hard to pop the clog then after 2 hits the next couple button presses has wax oozing out the air hole, what should i do? just get 91% isopropyl and just put it all in the air hole and the hole through the bottom basically?

While its technically feasible, its been proven that if you load between 0.5 and 0.7g, you will minimize leaking and clogging issues. I suggest melting out the concentrate (slowly, with a hair drier) and starting over with a fresh cart. ALso read the Vaporpedia FAQ about how to properly load and prime these carts.

Related: I never had great success with the more crumbly waxes in the OG Omicron carts. If you have access to it, C02 oil works well (or anything that isnt super "stable" aka solid at room temp).

Yes. You should use the 2.4 ohm carts if possible since youre new to using them. The ohms dont matter if the cart is improperly loaded and or primes however. The 1.5 will work but you will need to be more careful when hitting the power button as not to hold it too long and burn the heater out or overheat the seals.

While it sounds like you overloaded the cart, I seriously doubt simply removing say half the load will make it better.

The clue is, I think, in your first post?

i melted it and kept lighting it till it got to the bottom got a couple decent rips then didn't really feel the nice air flow anymore and so i took one more and put it down....

IMO you have one of two issues going on. Inappropriate concentrate (how does it do on a foil test?) perhaps but most likely mistakes in loading causing the seals to get overheated. The "kept lighting it till it got to the bottom" is not correct procedure I'm thinking. You basically did extensive 'dry burns' (no concentrate in the wicks yet) which has melted the seals where the heater wires come through. It's normal that t he melted concentrate will drain past this. And little you can do now will slow it, nothing will fix it.

Best advice is, I think reclaiming what you can as Caligula suggests. Then, starting with a fresh 2.4 Ohm cart and following the loading instructions more carefully, be sure the center section is properly heated before melting down half a gram at most. Running the heater 'dry' for more than a second or two is going to get you the repeat of this. Never do dry burns. Loaded right, 'priming' should be unnecessary or at least a trivial effort. You cannot prime from concentrate stuck above the reservoir. I think you've shown that?

http://www.delta9vapes.com/pdf/Omicron_Fill_Instructions_v3.pdf

Pay special attention to 4a and 4b. I think this is where the problem started.

For now the most you can hope for with this cart is I think to lessen the problem. First step, cool the cart fully, draw lots of cold air though it at the end of the session. Then lay it on its side, or even consider putting the white doughnut back on and storing it slanting 'nose down' so the load does not sit against the defective seals over time. Be careful starting up again, while the wicks are wet from before, taking a couple of hits without fully warming up the reservoir to get the concentrate flowing will rapidly exhaust the goods in the heater area and put you back in 'dry burn' country. At best it will be 'sub par'. Replacement is the fix.

Good luck with it, but IMO you're fighting over your weight here. That cart is dead, you've killed it with kindness of a strange sort.

Always been a fan of this vape. The omnicron is an excellent portable vape at a great price. It has a unique design that sets it apart from other vapes but stays stylish and effective
