What's wrong with Glycerol? Is it toxic when vaped? I can't imaging small amounts being problematic. The amount in an Ecig compared that used to lube your mouthpiece seem vastly different.

It leaves a sticky residue and dissolves in water very poor lube be like adding water to your engine.(also very low temp)
with stuff i use your not forced to clean your pax.mouth piece never sticks oz after oz i vaped thru my pax. till it plugs than i just push it into the oven.but the mouthpiece doesn't stick ever.

try adding oil to your herb makes the bowl last for ever

yea i love a good thai ,I wouldn't bother with the mentos lids ones i had didn't seem to fit just use a case instead.(protects it better)

I have found that doing this is better IMO than either flower alone or concentrate alone. I like to layer flower/concentrate/flower in my Pax. It is supremely tastier.

I might even go so far as to say that ABV is a superior conduit to vaporizing concentrates than straight concentrates in any cheap ass vape pen.

Volteric,
One more question my Pax friends.

So, my Pax decided to stop working the day after I got it. It begins heating up, flashes a white light a few times, then powers off completely. The battery is fully charged.

Also, I can turn it on and quickly pull out the mouthpiece, then click the button to change heat settings and that light will stay on. The moment I put the mouthpeice back in it flashes white and powers down again. I cleaned it very thoroughly to test it and also tried filling the pax at multiple levels to see if it was an overheating issue. I contacted pax service but am waiting on a reply (tomorrow is x-mas eve so it will likely be a while).

So the question is, does anybody have any magical solutions/similar experiences?

How is Pax support in upholding the warranty?

What is different about the screw that tells you if its legit or not?
Here is a pic of mine, I'm pretty sure it's legit. At least I hope...\

EDIT* Shit, learning has occurred. I looked through the 8 million pages on this thread to find pictures of the real screw and the fake screw. I have a real one!

Their customer service is top notch. Go to their website and chat with them about it and they'll work with you to find a solution.

I'm just curious can you use wax in the pax if you mix it with flowers? Any opinions on this?

Absolutely! That's mostly what I do. I recommend packing a small layer of flower at the bottom and depending on the consistency* of the concentrate make that the middle "cream filling" and then top it with another layer of flower and pack tightly. Heat on high and enjoy! As I mentioned before I prefer this over hitting wax straight out of a vape pen like a MicroG or flower alone in the Pax. I would recommend NOT using concentrates alone in the Pax as this will void your warranty.

*In my experience, the more taffy like concentrates I have found to be better in that you can use a dab tool, scoop concentrate, heat the tool just above the tool so the wax drizzles over the bed of flowers without combusting.

Can someone who has a multimeter please tell me what voltage reading they get on the charger base from the two tabs? Mine starts out at 2.1VDC and slowly drops down to like .2VDC before jumping back to 2.1VDC and slowly dropping back down. It will continue to repeat this. Is my charger bad? It seems like thats the reason my pax will not charge but I do not have a spare to test.

Ok, Im an idiot. I had my charger plugged into a switched outlet and it was off :) I had replaced the battery over a week ago and thought there was some issue with that so I put another new one in and the pax wouldnt even turn on. Once I got the charger into a live outlet and put the pax back on it everything is good once again. Thank god, the thought of not being able to vape scares the shit out of me :) And to top it off, its Christmas!

ZombieJake,
Hey haven't read all of these reviews so not sure if this problem has been solved but I've had a pax for about a month and the metal screen has been messing up recently. It won't stay in position and moves around easily so all the herb falls through the hole. I ordered the new screens for it and still nothing is working. Not sure what I am doing wrong or if something in my oven is mess up. If anyone knows any solutions to problems regarding the metal screen please reply. Thanks!

try turning your screen the other way flat side down add some oil or resin to bottom of oven before placing in screen and make sure you pack your pax (even without the screen a pack oven will not let herb Thur)

Ploom is very good with their warranty service. My Pax stopped heating after about 5-6 months. Called them and sent me a return authorization number. I couldn't find the box and sent it back in a ugly brown one. They sent me a brand new unit in a new box. Found the old one now I have two. The Pax is impossible for me to put down.

mckeen,
Ok, I just got the Pax and am experimenting with some things. So far I dig it, but it seem I get the most out if it by frequently stirring up the ovenload. Has anyone posted on here about using glass flowers or something else like it in the load to promote even cooking and less stirring. I looked over a couple hundred posts but couldn't find anything. But im finding that not all portable occasions are conducive to stirring.

yes those glass jacks can be used to take up space

however there no need for them on a full load pax wants a fine grind finer the better .make sure herb is dry .

i start on hi temp when light turns green switch to low not sure why but seems to work best for me.

Everyone is impressed with the pax when I bust it out at a party. I think I have sold like 5 units. "Dude...I am getting one of those!" Was a popular response

I so much want a pax but they are not available in Australia yet. I keep reading they will be available soon, that's been the case for months though.
It's a big market here, they could make a motza if they release them here.
I would try to buy one from the states but I think I read somewhere that the warranty is void outside of the USA and Canada.

Same here, every time I bust it out people look at it skeptically, then I put it on high and hand it to them. I love watching their faces as they hit it thinking it is going to suck. After coughing they ask where they can get one.

I recently got one of these, only used it a couple of times.
now all it does is show the purple light for 2-3 seconds, starts blinking then shuts itself off?

I tried cleaning it, the mouthpiece does not seem sticky but i lubed it for the heck of it, that didn't help either.

it's disappointing to have problems almost immediately with a brand new unit given how expensive it is.
anyone else run in to a similar problem?
