Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

On a Möbius plane
I use my Lotus scoop for dosing my herb with every vape I own. It holds about 0.04-0.06g and works perfectly with ELBs

You can purchase it here http://www.lotusvaporizer.com/node/11, it's pricey for a little but of metal, but well worth IMO. I wouldn't be with out mine now :D

So ELB means the screen tube thingy? One thing I do after a soak in boiling ISO & liquid dish soap (put ISO, soap, screen tube thingy in a plastic zip-lock and pour boiling water from a kettle into a bowl w/the zip locked bag), I use an old Sonic toothbush head and ultra-sonic the little devil and it cleans up real good.

:science: Wow the mini elb method rocks !
And the blinking red & green standby lights go nicely with the holiday decorations.
:smug:
When you get some more time on the EVO, it be cool to hear how it compares to Herbie.

I'm going to be Cloudless for a couple more weeks. Gonna send mine in tomorrow to get a new glass core put in...thank God I have a HI and Lotus back up.

Evo arrived! The unit looks great, will update with performance review...

But all in all, majorly disappointed with the glass. I paid $250 for a piece that I initially thought would have 4 opals, a working turbine, and no gaudy swagger logos. I could have got a brand-name earl jr recycler for that much!

This is what I received:
N1GnjNk.jpg

That label is a joke! At least the big one isn't flaking off...
1pgFqoJ.jpg

So I thought "well they prepared us for this, at least I can simple green the labels off, right?"
fZsvyHk.jpg

Wrong! This is like sports car with a price sticker on it, then when you try to peel it off you find they cheaped out and used the kind of sticker that leaves crap behind...

except you can NEVER remove it, sweet.
xBpRNOr.jpg

Also the draw is pretty restrictive, and the turbine doesn't spin that much... seriously it takes more lung power to hit this than my Colie recycler!

Let's just say for $250, I'd rather have 2 of my Colie Recyclers, or my $200 used worked EFS doughnut... this wasn't exactly my smartest glass purchase.

Not one, but TWO nasty-ass labels!

I like the early-bird bent-neck swaggertube well enough, so far I prefer it to the vxl hydracirc and blaze bong I have tried with the evo. My only criticism is are these really opals?

N1GnjNk.jpg

These protrusions make nice handles, but they seem like they are just clear glass bumps with a bit of solid colored glass behind them. I thought opals were more complex looking than this, at least the early pictures I seem to remember were. There is a bit of refraction in this photo of yours, not when I look at mine though. I don't know enough about glass to know for sure but I seem to remember them differently.

I'm loving the performance with flower! I'd like the dial to be a bit stiffer but it is very sensitive which is good. I was able to achieve good flavor and vapor but noticed everything gets bunched up by the top cap, and I got much more even ABV when I stirred. But I really shouldn't have to stir IMO

Then I tried concentrate, the two small caps didn't fit inside each other so I didn't force them, I just dropped bits in the long cap like flower. Even letting sit on max, it couldn't get hot enough to vaporize everything and I got residue:

Is there a better way to use concentrates in this?

Damn Joe that does look bad. The Swagger name and labels were the main reasons I opted for the Trade-In instead of any package with glass during the IGG campaign. When I saw how much these tubes were gonna cost and how big they were gonna be (with multiple percs) I knew the $250 Trade-In was the best option for me. The original HTs were great: nice height/weight and simple design with good percs. Just seems like the new ones (Swagger especially) are trying too hard to be like normal tubes instead of little "hydratubes" that sit on top of a fragile vape. And I'm not trying to hate on Swagger but if you're gonna drop $275+ on a HT, you could own a Sovereignty Stemline or Mobius Matrix bubbler that can be used several different ways for an extra $55-$100...

Hahaha I'm so fucking baked, I'm not going to edit my unboxing video for a bit, hahahaha. I'll try to upload a crappy iPad vid for now. There is a couple day learning curve on this. Feels ridiculously light compared to my Cadillac of ticker.. But fucking deliveres. Get your water levels right, dial all the way up for heat up then lower to 2:30.. Or 1 for 3 hits then 3 out. Mork mork mork. This is my brain on ridiculous amounts of t.h.c.

The case is bad ass.
Because the top of the Evo gets so hot, I suggest they coat the bottom edges so they are less abraisive if you hold at the bottom. Otherwise bravo!!! I'm hungry...

I can't help but wonder if I could pay them to gut my old ticker and use the chassis with the new hardware, just for collector-pimp kicks... But that is not to express disappointment, this unit is the shit. It would just be heady. And keep the ol girl from collecting dust.

Anyway, I'll upload some shit... This thing is as good as it gets once you understand the beast. Fucking portable with my case, I can't wait to roll over to a bros house and bust it.

It takes a little experimenting to get the optimum results, give yourself a few days. I'm getting consistently very dark brown ABV. Occasionally when emptying the ELB I notice that the remains get darker closer to the bottom. FWIW, I'm using a 1/3-1/2 load (probably ~.15g), well dried, shredded, hit slow and steady (vs sharp and hard). With my Fanatic Swagger, 3 hits with the last a whisper. With my HydraLine, 5-6 hits.

Re concentrates, I've heard that the amount is important. Especially if just using the standard ELB. Depending, you may get a better result mixing with flowers. I use the 2-cap method that IIRC
@Purpl3_Haz3 (apologies if I got that wrong) came up with using an ELB cap to fit inside an Arizer Q elbow-screen. That creates a chamber that can hold .25g. Don't know if you can use an oil with it, but wax works exceptionally well. As an aside, VXL is working on an accessory specifically for concentrates in the EVO.

The opals are still my favorite part of the glass, they are honestly what tipped me over the edge on the whole thing :freak:

That's why I wish there were more... with only two little blips you have a choice of seeing two from the side, or one straight-on (the money shot!), but with three or four opals we could have seen both views at the same time...

The side-view alone doesn't really do them justice:

How cool would it have been to have an opal in the middle to look at straight-on?

Because they really are quite nice:

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I don't think there have been many others that were disappointed with their glass from Swagger.
It's just that I know what it could have been seeing that initial sample piece...

Nice job with the opal pics. I don't think anyone else has posted anything like that.

The Fanatic tube does have three. You can see into all of them when taking a hit.

I got my Early Bird HT straight neck today and love it. LOVE IT. But then, I'm not a glass aficionado. Definitely a different experience than my Evolver Hydracirc.

Can't wait to use ice when I get home. Can. Not. Wait.

Thanks, SM!

OK you guys have to help me with concentrate, I've used amounts that would give me clouds in the little vape pens and even with the evo on max I get wispy vapor and sticky elb's... I could have sworn people said you could do straight wax in this with no residue... please enlighten me!

Can I do flower + wax on max? Won't the flowers combust?
