The tips aren't currently for sale separately but we're working on adding them to the website, we should have them (and some other little bits and pieces) added within a week. :peace:

The tips and silicone bit should work fine with the older GonGs (but not the old old WPBs). Performance wise adding a stainless tip greatly reduces the bowl size and restricts airflow quite a bit, it also moves the bowl as close as is possible to the heat source so makes for very aggressive heating. :2c:

I can attest to this. My nylon (or GonG) with the stainless tip was combusting at times, due to being closer to the heater. I adjusted for this by sliding it in halfway. Once I got the extension cord, I can't combust no matter how hard I try. Absolute perfect temp for me with no VVPS.

The Glass stems work perfect as is, to go with the SS tip, you might have to drop the temp a bit. The SS tip is a smaller bowl size, but not by a whole lot in my estimates. It does restrict airflow to a degree also, but I've found that the airflow still kicks ass. Especially through glass.

All that said, the UD is versatile way beyond what I was expecting out of a simple log vape. All hail Underdog and Underdogette.

Thanks for the added info Magic and good to hear the extension cord has gotten you to the temp that works best for you.. sometimes a low tech solution is the best one.

Still working on pieces for a refresh, meant to have it done a week ago but the Holiday Vapes have been keeping me too busy to make that much progress on other pieces. I'm just about caught up now though so should be able to get some done soon.

Hope you're all having a foggy holiday season..

I'm interested in just the SS tips myself too! Would they work on the old GonG? With silicon to mate them, of course. I have never combusted in my UDs with any of my stems, and I keep my VVPS at 13.5 when medicating. I have a feeling it is also strain/quality of curing too.

Just a little longer R2H, it looks like it's scheduled to be delivered on Friday.. :)

@ timmahsan - yeah the SS tips should work with the older GonGs in most cases as well.

Hey Dave,

So today I somehow dropped my UD which was only a year old :( Is there a warranty for the vapes because the power socket is messed up. My vape isn't getting hot. Is there a way to fix it myself or what options do I have?

Sorry to hear about your accident Hitomi, did you message us through the site too? If so I think Underdogette was planning on replying later today but I'll just do so here.

If the vape isn't heating now then that means you have a broken or shorted wire, not an unlikely scenario if your power plug was knocked loose.

We do tend to cover stuff like that under the warranty though so that's good news. You can send it in and I'd be happy to take a look and fix/replace whatever is needed to get you back up and running - no charge. It's really not something we'd recommend trying to do yourself since it requires a significant amount of disassembly, also troubleshooting tools and spare parts.

Private message me (or email) and we'll make sure you have our shipping info so you can get the Pup sent in for a checkup. :peace:

Nicest business ever. (even feels like an oxymoron!). You guys are the best.

Dave- I'm loving these little mini plastic capsule-sized containers that came with all the goodies. I'd like to order a bunch more, if possible. Like 10 more if I could lol. I could buy some other containers off the site and then we could just switch them out for the mini ones instead if that works for you!

K time to sound the FOGhorn. :D

Edit: Any advantages to a right angle plug or is it just aesthetic?

Yoosh, what have you been using them for? I haven't really found any use for them aside from pre-loading. I've been using the bigger case for abv but quickly running out of room.

Thanks man, we work hard at treating everyone like we always wish we were treated by businesses. Besides, like I regularly say, all you UDs are family now.

Re: the little capsule-containers I ran completely out a few days ago and wasn't planning on getting more - if you want to PM me I'll give you vendors info and you can order a whole bag. :p

No significant advantage to the right angle plug, depending on your usage patterns they may be less prone to stress related failures but that'd be it.

Well it is much appreciated! Pm sent btw. :)

Yeah I load em up with material cuz I love the ability to gauge my dosage more exactly. One of those capsules lasts me the night! Still blows my mind. Basically I preload and keep em all in the bigger container and I just grab one out at a time and revel in the uberminimalism haha.

Plus I'll drop a couple in the top of my underdog before I wrap it up to take to a friend's house and its so damn portable and convenient!

Thank you so much! I did get an e-mail to an inquiry I made. I will send it out as soon as I can.

Just had a minor accident with my Pup. Was using my all glass stem, (forgot to use the GONG ) put my VB water tool on top of it, and inhaled. Next thing you know, the bottom of the water tool collapsed and water rushed in to my Dog! There was some steam and some hissing sounds kind of like an iron. I turned my Pup upside down, pulled out the plug for a few minutes and let it dry. Plugged it back in and you would think nothing ever happened.

This was my fault. Always remember to use a GONG when you're filtering through water. Although the all glass stem will fit 14mm glass, it is not meant for that and can damage your glass. My UD is pretty much indestructible.

^Underdogs would probably still work at the bottom the ocean. XD

Oh and speaking of pups, the new Mac Pros look familiar eh?!?!?

Lols.. glad to hear your Pup recovered well from his bath Crohnie. They're pretty resilient to that kind of stuff like most Log vapes. Accidents like yours are one reason I still haven't offered a 120v (line voltage) cartridge heater model. It'd be easy for me to do and less expensive than my current design but I can't shake the fear that someone might get a shock somehow in an event like this. :o

@ Yoosh - yeah, pretty sure Apple is copying us, wonder what kind of stems they'll offer. :brow:

My main dogs core had been loose for a year. Finely stopped working and I sent it in for repair. It was out of warranty but they took great care of me. Offered to replace it FREE with a holiday vape. I saw the Rustic Banded Chico Olive log on the site and asked if I could upgrade and pay the extra. And here she is with the rest of her family. I am donating the purpleheart twig to its new owner tomorrow. They even sent me my broken log back.
