Micro vaped v2

Ok so I just picked up this pen from my local dispensary, and I have to say I personally think it sucks donkey balls. This is my first Vape Pen, I have had a MFLB since 2010, the awesome rubber band top (it just recently broke) and I figured it was time to try others that are out there.

I was told by my dispensary that this is one of the best Vape Pens out there. However if this is the best I am going to go back to doing ground up herb. I put a bit of wax on the coil (the dispensary recomended the Lambs Bread Wax) then I click the button, I don’t hold it down but I make it pulse (off on, off on, etc) and sure it produces “smoke” / vape but it tastes like burnt plastic / Motor Oil.

After I took 2 hits, I put it away to compare the quality to that of the MFLB. Sure, it kicks hard, but it makes my throat and lungs hurt, which got me wondering what it’s doing to my health....

So is there a way to fix the taste of this Vape Pen or did I just waste 90$?

Because if this is the way it is supposed to taste I am never going to use another Vape Pen again... it tastes like $hit

*edit*
crud i can't edit the subject line... i fail =(

Since they are made in china they come shipped with a substance on the coil. Was told its to protect the coil. Usually it is glycerin. You can normally burn it off before you load the pen. You have to be careful to not burn the cart out while heating it. Blow on it while heating. Since yours is loaded just use it and the taste should go away.

Hope this works.

ya i smelled the virgin (spare) porcelain "cup" thingy last night, and it smells the same way as the one i am using tastes.

can i use ISO alcohol to get rid of the glycerin and or clean the "cup" thingy?

I normally burn it off. Takes a second and I have only killed one cart out of 100s.
ISO should work. Let it dry before use.

ok so i cleaned my "bowl" (i have no idea what you call the white thing.) with ISO Alcohol and it didn't help, it still smells bad.

so with the spare "bowl" in placed loaded up some Shatter. The super cute BT at the disp told me to go with shatter, she said it's better for a pen. Then I did the following power cycle:

on for 1 second
off for 2 seconds
on for 1 second
off for 2 seconds
on for 1 second
off for 2 seconds

until my bulb was full of "Vape" then I inhaled. it didn't hurt or taste bad. so i don't know if it is the Shatter or the power cycle

Really? As a person who has used many I would say the glass globe titanium coil micro vaped v2 I have is one of the better pens I've used. From the packaging to performance I never thought they were made in china. I also have a vapor brothers dabbler which is the gold standard for wax pens nowadays so its not like I haven't had a quality pen vape. I gotta say I'm surprised. I consider my microvaped a solid pen but I also don't use it as much as my dabbler.

Mine failed after about a month. It's cheaply constructed and the cartridges burn out after about a week or two. You can purchase replacements every couple of weeks for $10.00 a pop. If you like throwing money down the toilet, this is the vaporizer for you.
