My first post is to revive this thread because I have faith in recyclers. Ive never experienced one but this gem of information about them must live on!

My question is... Photo Rider - do you have a sovereignty recycler/bubbler?

Ive seen some information claiming Hamm was the creator of the recycler - perhaps the twin tubed large pieces. And ive also seen information stating Sovereignty made the first recycler -perhaps the first hand waterpipe/bubbler design of a recycler.

Just curious :) the sovs are only 400 on alt...

Unless you wanna pay 4x for the worked..

The water keeps spinning. And spinnninnng... and spiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnn

HAMM made the first recycler with his scientific bubbler. Nobody really followed suit until a year or two later when Sovereignty introduced their own recycler. Fast forward a year after that, and now the glass scene is saturated with recyclers of all different makes and models.

Hamm Brushland is so far ahead of everyone. Just search "hamm helix" or "autobong" and you'll see what I mean!

The auto is the first hamm I saw... thinking it was the mocm ups or complex versions of the first recycler (I see its a premium luxury piece developed after the first ones)

Thanks for clarification! I just want one thats effective ;)

Have you guys seen the hamm windowpane recycler...?

the windowpane looks nice but his twisted coriolis sputnik recycler is my dream piece. Of course on a government employees salary, I would have to win the lottery to justify a purchase like that.

I personally would avoid a sovereignty recycler. Sovereignty is a great brandwith very high quality and will hold its value pretty well but it is missing the vortex action so you don't get that spinning water effect. Functionally, it is the same as most other recyclers, the water gets spit out into the second chamber then recycles back to the bottom of the can but you don't get the visual.

If you want something "effective" with a good visual vortex and under $400, check out Earl Jr. you could also get an apix designs klein incycler for around the same price as well.

edit: Those are just the first 2 that pop into my head because like @JJ420 pointed out, almost all blowers/brands now have at least some kind of a recycler and you could probably find 100 different recyclers with a good vortex at that price point.

I am who I am and your approval isn't needed!
I'm soooo looking forward to my awaited EFS Incycler I took advantage of ordering with the black friday sale !! This will be my 2nd 'quality' glass piece purchased, and my 1st incycler/recycler.

For myself, I could care less who built or designed the first... my only care was to follow FC threads, recs, and vids, to decide on something that tickled my fancy, was quality, and offered clear scientific glass under 12" with an active vortex... I think I'm set, so TY FC for helping me 'get to where I want to be' as always ;)

Yeah I dont really care about who was first :) just a curiosity I had n thought I would throw it out there

I love the earl jrs. Ive read this whole thread... cant find much more customer experience than right here.

I know the spin is the bees wax - but ive also heard people with sov cyclers love them (and most dont understand why - [not saying i know all the science of it]). Actually I missed that sovs dont spin which is dissapointing - seemed like a stable piece that couldve been dialed innn.

Smokum- im happy that you found something great :) especially on bf I picked up my nicest piece about 45 days ago as well:cool:

RE: The Vortex
The original autobongs were combustion pieces that used the vortex to actually spin off some of the larger particles as smoke was drawn through it. Truly amazing. The more recent incarnation of the recycler is typically as a concentrate rig. The only actual benefit of "recycling" in this context is the continuous contact with water in the vapor path as you inhale. The vortex action is merely ornamental. The worst (to me) is when a piece does have that inverted cone second chamber, and doesn't do the drain dance... Aesthetics are important!

maybe this has already been covered - recycler vs. incycler? preferences?

From my limited experience with both - the most significant functional difference is that the incycler (Siren Apparatus) when paired with either of my vapes restricts the draw too much to get water up to the recycling chamber. I am hoping the EFS incycler will pair better for vaping.

I saw these Mav glass recycler ash catchers on IG(@mavglass). They look pretty nice for around $100

I'm not sure how they'll work, many of the pieces have the end of the downstem much nearer the "return drain" than the desired vapor path. It looks like a few would flow the opposite way of functional (around the percs). Yeah, I'd like to see some water test vids of those, hopefully I'm mistaken.

I just sent my payment for the EFS Incycler sale as well. I'm a bit weary of the whole money in the mail thing, but he has a good track record so I think I'm worrying needlessly. The Incycler is an awesome looking piece.

I would think that if you've been in contact with the seller and that you've discussed payment options that Theyre going to help you out for cash :)

there's a special place for people who steal

bennetoro,
Personally, I'm just fairly wary of anything that gives me a weary feeling. It's not because i don't trust Justin.

I pre-ordered the incycler also and I ended up buying a different piece instead because he wanted cash. it's not that I don't trust Justin, $420 from each of us won't make up for the damage ti his name if he doesn't follow through. I didn't do it because I don't trust usps. if he would have taken a money order I would have paid for one because if that gets lost in the mail you can get it replaced but if cash gets lost, it's gone.

Oh, I assumed by cash, he meant no credit cards. Not literally put money in envelope and send it to him. I fear this may change my making a purchase with EFS as well.
