Hey guys, I just wanted to dispel any misconceptions. My business partner just received a call from someone stating VaporWarehouse is giving away spare heaters with purchase of a Dabbler after reading posts on FC. He wanted to know why he didn't get one.

The only time we have ever given a spare heater for free was to @Quetzalcoatl when he came in second in our last caption contest. I have a feeling @Quetzalcoatl post were misunderstood.

Hopefully that will clear up any untruths floating around out there.

Confusion may come from @vaporbrothers signature which says..."
Until we get it out in bigger numbers, try the massive hit of our wax pen Dabbler (coupon code DABFUK) and also get a spare heater (code DABBLEROFFER)"...
While it doesn't actually say the heater is free the implication is there.

I will let Linus know and request him to change that.

The person that called said he read that other posters received a free heater. I believe @Quetzalcoatl was the only one to post that he received a free heater.

Hmm... Can a mod edit a little note to my post about it? Feel kinda bad that I made it seem like everyone got extra cores when it's not like that :/

I don't think that's necessary. Hopefully it should be clear now. I only mentioned it on the forum since the caller mentioned the forum.

Is there a time limit on when you can edit a post? You might try going back to your post and see if you have an Edit button active still and then add your own correction?

6 hours iirc. The post was days if not over a week at this point.

Greetings and Good Vapin' to you. If you insist on smoking ass, try to get the highest grade available. Lower grade ass will leave a residue.

I've had people ask me if the dabbler could blow smoke up your ass and I had to tell them that it's not smoke, it's vapor. To actually do that properly you need one of these:

OK, I admit to doing some serious "research" tonight. Only the highest grade pure concentrated goodness.

Wait, this thread is about the DABBLER! My absolute favorite handheld concentrate pen.

In a sincere effort to be somewhat on topic (and I hope this doesn't get me in trouble) there is a great new rumor I thought you'd want to know about:

Some elves told me that there is a new shipment of dabbler glass tube heaters on the way. Some say that too many of them were breaking during shipment and the packaging had to be redesigned. Borosilicate tube means less breakage, too.

You'll want to check with Linus and Vapor warehouse for details. With delivery only about a week away, I suspect they'll be taking orders soon.

This is great news, I guess the jolly man in the red suit might be a day or two off with his deliveries. As soon as we open orders, you guys will be the first to know.

I just went into my email and double-checked for you. Sure enough I got it from this place called vaporwarehouse, same as the link in the first post.

They must have changed their policy or something. If this is the case, please, dear people at VW, change it back!

I can get it from Vapornation, just not keen on paying GBP30 shipping on a GBP70 pen......

Understood, shipping can be scary expensive. Try it the other way, sometime. Stuff from the UK is 'extremely dear' to ship here. I once bought some Tin airgun pellets (Dynamic) made in the UK. The only US source was always out of stock. So I contacted the maker who offered to sell them at the same ten dollar price per box as here. Shipping on the package was quoted at ten Pounds! More than the pellet cost by a fair bit. So, in an attempt to lower the per pellet cost I ordered 3 boxes instead......you guessed it, they sent 3 packages for 30 Pounds total shipping. No problem charging my CC of course.

Anyway, as long as you're paying a heavy tab, I suggest you consider a few spare heaters and even perhaps a spare battery? You're sure to need the former sooner or later (provided you use it of course) and the latter might be cheap back up and the base for a second working unit?

I'm sorry for your plight, but it works both ways.

I hear ya, shipping can be a joke no matter what way across the pond it may travel.....Ive emailed Vapor Warehouse just to make sure I'm not being stupid when Im placing the order.

If I cant get it from VW ill probably hold off on getting the Dabbler until Vapefiend has it in stock (i emailed them last week and they are in talks with VaporBrothers apparently), Im vaping my oil in my Solo atm via the old cotton ball so its not urgent.

I contacted Vapor Warehouse and they have indeed stopped shipping these internationally:

Hello John,

Initially we were shipping the Dabbler internationally. But a couple
factors have caused us to change our mind on this. The Dabbler is still in
it's infancy and we are working through battery issues. Once the battery
issues have been ironed out we will most likely open up shipping to the
U.K. But right now if a battery fails we end up loosing money on warranty
replacements.
Sincerely,
A.J.

I will vouch for AJ. I had battery issues myself, and VW squared me away. But at this stage I can see why shipping replacement batts to Europe might be cost prohibitive

Hey guys. Nice to see everyone taking good care of this thread since I've been gone. Now I'm back and we got ceramic wicks and glass globe doo-hickeys lol jokes aside, im going to be grabbing one of those glass heaters tomorrow and will provide input asap. but sadly my headshop said the ceramic wicks are out of stock and he's getting his delivery tomorrow with only just the two heaters. Is there any more recent news outside of this thread hopefully anyone has come across that might shed light on when the new ceramic wick heaters will be in stock? and also be plentiful enough to fill the backorders and then also trickle down to brick and mortar shops on the east coast for example?

Happy holidays everyone! Just wondering how long you guys normally go before needing a new heating element? I've had my dabbler for about a month and in the past few days it hasn't been working like it has in the past. No matter the amount of concentrate that I use, I am getting very little to no vapor from it. Is this normal? You can't even see the coils on the heater and I'm worried that I may have neglected properly caring for it. I'll probably be ordering a new heater from vaporwarehouse shortly, but in the meantime I'll try to clean it with some ISO as instructed earlier on this thread. Which leads me to one last question... How long should I let the heater soak in ISO, and how do I know when it is safe to test the dabbler again?

Thanks in advance for your always helpful advice!

I bought my dabbler in July and I am now on my third heater. The first one lasted like 2 days thanks to me destroying it by accidentally ripping the coil out with some shatter, not Vapor Bros fault. So realistically I have only had to replace one due to heavy use. I have theory that I cleaned it too often/too aggressively which just destroyed the glass wick.

If you put good concentrate into it, cleaning is just not an issue IME. I will use a small dabber tool to reclaim whats left on the side and on the bottom of the ceramic bowl, but I am too scared to clean my heater again unless it has some combustion taste or something, which would mean I am using crap concentrates and that would be my fault.

This has all been with the standard glass wick and not the ceramic one.

Thanks for the reply! I did pick up some concentrate about a week ago that was more oily than usual and only loaded the dabbler with it one time before I swapped it out with some shatter. I'm wondering if maybe this somehow clogged up the wick? It's just confusing to me because out of the ~100 times I have tried to hit my dabbler in the past 2 days there have been a few random times where it will give me the huge cloud of vapor that I had gotten used to. Hopefully a new heater will do the trick.
