I am owner of a digit volcano that is out of warranty and since short it is emitting a burned smell,
I doubt that I have enough money at the moment to get it fixed by storez and bickel, I would attempt to fix it myself but I have no idea where to start.
is anyone familiar with this problem?

That's not the problem, but the symptom. Until you find the problem area, there's no way for anyone to know whether it's user fixable or not. And even if you find a 'burned up part', there's no guarantee that the problem started there. You could replace that part (assuming you could get a replacement) and the same thing could happen again. Your best bet is to save up some $ and send it to S&B.

Great Scott!
After an hour of googling I'm finding no quality instructions on how to assemble this "filling chamber" on my solid valve. I have to say ease of use, so far this is the WORST vape for that. I'm sure I'll like it once I figure it out, but even with the ton of poorly worded/drawn skimpy instructions I'm having a hell of a time attempting to even use this thing. Strongly considering switching to the easy valve if its going to be THIS frustrating every time.

Anyone got any good links for how the hell you assemble the filling chamber? I've already made one VERY ugly bag and would like to try my expensive purchase.

EDIT: Finally figured it out. My bag has a small leak. 2 bags has me overmedicated, which is likely due to how much more herb one volcano bowl is compared to any of my vapes. I'll have to see long term how efficient it is, but I don't expect it to be too efficient. I knew that before I bought it.

I am pleased with it, but I probably should get the easy valve at some point, but I'll give myself some more practice with this solid valve and my extra bags before I give up so easily.

Worth the $300 I paid? Yes. Worth $600? Probably not IMO.

I've got the hang of it now, but still trying to see what the minimum I can load and get decent results is. So far I tried .08 and it did something, but IMO not enough. Maybe .15 would work for a single bag at 7 or so?

I weighed the ABV of the first bowl and it was 0.32g which to me is a couple of bowls in the cloud or thermovape cera, so its "spendy" for sure, but I'll see how I like it. I do enjoy it overall, but its not the magic vape people once made it out to be. I am glad I own it however.

I had a similar experience with a volcano classic that was out of warranty, shipped it to S&B and they were able to clean it out/repair it for less than I was expecting. I think your best bet is to save up and send it in to S&B, like others have mentioned.

I do enjoy my volcano all setup frustrations aside. I'm finding that while the load is large at .1g +, I can get multiple bags out of that. Most of the time I'll only need 1 bag, 2 max lately. So that makes it less of a hog if you are ok with turning the temp up and using the same bud a couple of times.

Hello, I’m new both to vaporizing and to this forum, so bear with me if I’m in the wrong category or hijacking this thread, but can’t get permission to start my own, I spend time reading other posts, I’m sure everything have been asked before, but where not able to find answers anyway, sorry

English is my second langue so please bear with me at that point as well ;)

I just got myself a Volcano Digit, and got some issues

I prefer to smoke hash, but are not sure about the temperature

My first balloon was on 226°C, and it worked ok (don’t know what to expect) but the screen was like totally burned and impossible to clean, ended up with a very greasy substance like this

Is it supposed to look like this?
IMG_5711.jpg

Is 226°C the right temperature for hash?

Will it help to mix it with tobacco?

Will it be better to smoke weed buds, I can see it don’t make all the greasy waste, or is there a trick when you smoke hash?

Thanks in advance, and again sorry to intrude ;)

Flowers(green) is easier to vape in the volcano.
I would go a bit lower in temperature....(200-210 Celsius)
and mix in a touch of herb (rather than tobacco)...
and be sure hash is crumbled.
To vape hash straight, I use a second screen for hash!

I'd say go hotter with hash than with buds. Thats how I've done it with every vape I own, but I've never tried hash in my volcano yet.

I'm sure Vitolo's advice is good advice, as usual.

These work very well... but for liquids.
They are concentrate pads designed to use with "full melt" oils/waxes/putties.
This pad will not allow enough "head room" for the hot air to circulate well.. as it brings the chambers floor up almost level (just shy) of top screen.
Nice suggestion, however, and it will open up the topic of the concentrate pad for renewed visitation!

Are there any guidance to vaping a various herbs that I could dry out from fresh such as mint, roses, etc? They would be used with the digital to bring herbs to the air by squeezing the bag blowing out the vapor into the air to capture a temporary aromatherapy.. "flash aromatherapy"?

Why not just leave the bag off and let the pump blow the vapor into the air?

When I have a strain I love.... I once in a while leave bag off.... and put SSV hose on the valve, and just suck the vapor as it comes out at me. (I have done it with a bong also, and let the Volcano do all the work.
I hit the off button if I can not keep up, but even though a bit wasteful I also often leave it on.
I inhale deeply.. then after a second, I exhale quickly to get my next inhalation.
Exhilarating experience.

you've piqued my curiosity, now I'm going to have to try this. Only drawback is that the Volcano pump is so loud.

Doesn't bother me very much...

I would think the easy valve wouldn't be so greatly affected by herbs, probably more resiny build up?

Found a pretty good guide.. Wasn't sure if FC allowed links to exterior links so I'm posting the guide here---
