Welcome @PhatBoi! Try and stay away from combustion completely and just vape for at least a week, to get used to the cleaner type of high as you won't be getting off on smoke toxins anymore.

You've got a couple of good vaporizers there (I have no experience with the xp but reportedly)--I would try catching up on, and then joining their dedicated threads to make sure you're using them in the most efficient and effective way possible for your needs. Then explore various options for re-processing your abv, and you can always see what other vaporizers are out there and coming down the pipeline.

I can heartily recommend doing that! I've read every page of the vapes I was interested in and I've learned so much that I don't consider my time wasted at all!

As with others who have posted here, I too have joined recently.

I've been an e-cig user for long enough to make just about anything work, having had to do so with some of the early models but, what I see in the non-E-cig world of vaporizers, the state of the art seems both pretty advanced as well a developing some level of reliability. From the perspective of having watched the development of e-cigs and their market.

In any event, I've removed one form of combustion from my life and it is now time to work on a second. As for the third, you will have to rip this barbeque grill out of my dying hands before I'll give it up!

Transitioning to vaping, other materials, like the Mall Kiosk e-Cigs that everyone falls for the first time, I started with the Atmos Raw.

I read up quite a bit about it and knew I could get it to work, after a fashion but still at least a good introduction into what vaping could be like, taste wise.

It was, as was expected a disappointment in virtually every other category but the taste of the vapor was exactly what the material going in smelled like and I did exhale vapor so I know it was actual vape, just that there wasn't very much of it. On the other hand, it was a cheap investment to see if I would like it or not.

The day after trying it though, I ordered both an Ascent and a Pax, both of which I should be receiving later this week. [STOKED]

Other than that my day-job is contract coding and what time I don't spend coding at home, it's also a hobby of mine, I'm usually found working on my car as I'm a bit of what has been known to be referred to as a "Motor Head" or flying helicopters in the garage unless the weather is decent outside.

In general, I guess I could be considered a "tech head" because I like tech toys and good tech in general.

Yea thanks for the input i will try to do a week straight as soon as i can find the right temps to vape at as at the minute its too hot/harsh im considering the "pinnacle pro" as it has the bong attachment an its own little mini water pipe attachment im assuming that it will make the vape more tolerable! But u no what they say about assumptions.........

The water tool will definitely help cool the vapor from the PNP. I picked up one of those units from Massdrop a while back. Without the Water Tool, I find the vapor too harsh on my throat. Clean water in the Tool seems to condition the vapor rather well.

Hello all!

I'm fairly new to vaping aside from using a friend's volcano years ago. I just purchased an UD an I'm very happy with it (now that I know how to use it correctly).

I live on the east coast and work in legal services but went to school for the arts and I'm actively seeking employment. :)

Pay no mind to those voices in my head
"Twigs" , 60-something male from Seattle. New member has been lurking for some months. The Vapir NO2 was my first Vape, and I was hooked. At first when I read about VAS in this forum, I scoffed at the idea that I would ever need another vaporizer. But then, somehow I got drawn in and succumbed to the affliction. I bought the MFLB in October, and now keep that by my bedside, always locked and loaded, ready for a bedtime or middle of the night puff or two. Now I'm eyeing the Pax as a second very portable addition, but am somewhat reluctant due to all the problems that members have reported.

"Twigs" ...

Welcome twigs, I don't mean to get into a discussion of which vape is better but I read about all the issues with both the Pax and the DaVinci Ascent, and still got them both.

And, I like both for some of the same reasons and for different reasons.

At this stage in the market place, it's not as much about what problems a given new vape has as much as it is a matter of how willingly a given company is to make things right.

In both the cases of Ploom and DaVinci, one really can't go wrong.

Hi everyone! 30 year old from Switzerland/Austria.
Quit cigs a month ago thanks to e-cigs and got curious how to go about this the best way for my other smoking needs. Thanks to this forum I found the "Da Buddha" and orderd one a few days ago.
Looking forward to my fist green vaping expirience, will report when it arrives.

Hi everyone!

Welcome!

I too started out replacing cancer sticks with e-cigs although that was about 5 years ago.

Although the market has been pretty good for desk tops, it hasn't been as good for portables, which is what I am more interested, until just "recently", at least by my estimation and what got me to take the plunge now as opposed to previously.

I think you are going to enjoy vaping no longer being a question other than, what to vape. ;)

Fellow Vapers...
I am 49 and an now on my second career as a researcher. Working on a PhD currently but unlike the MS degree, I'm doing this one at the turtle pace. (The turtle finishes the race but keeps his sanity)

Medical M user and glad its legal in my state.

Lurked on here and learned...you never stop learning. I'm on my 3rd vaporizer - A Vapeman - and I love it. Easy to use and no batteries required. Just a Colibri. :)

Hobbies...
Nature freak and skier. Living in the north northwoods
Photography keeps me going to music festivals and summer camping with the RV.
Musically, I'm into almost everything from Floyd to Phish to Goldfrapp - M83 - Radiohead.
Geo-political, Sci-fi to history, don't watch reality TV - that crap will rot your brain!

Finally realized that I need to care for the lungs...retired the dugouts, glass pipes, rolling papers and one-hitters...and taking better care of myself. Nightly woods walks with the Vapman are my exercise.
The sleeper has awakened.

Old radios, funky cameras, and slide rules, adorn my shelves along with books - too many books...
Various Bourbons, English Cavendish tobacco and my pipes along with the Vapman . . . that is my therapy.

Peace

Been lurking for a year, maybe a year and a half. I actually didn't start combustion until my mid twenties. After starting, I realized I liked cannabis for it's relaxing effects. Although not a "medical" user I feel cannabis helps me to remain calm and stable. Unfortunately living in a non-medical state the cost can be very prohibitive. When researching ways to make my stash last, I came across this site and the benefits of vaporization. I now rely primarily on vaporization and occasionally make canna-caps.

My first vaporizer was a glass vapor genie bat which I absolutely loved. However being glass, I of course broke it. My next vape was a Vapor Lithe which I wanted to love but couldn't. After that I bought a launch box and a solo. Currently I have a Vapolution 2 waiting to be delivered (Christmas present to myself) and I am also a Grasshopper supporter (can't wait for February).

Hope I haven't been to long winded, this is a great community and I'm looking forward to being an active member for some time. I have benefited so much from the knowledge of the members here. I hope to continue fucking combustion for life, so hopefully I'll be an active member for some time.

Hey everyone! Brand new member here, joined about an hour ago. Owner of a Magic Flight Launch Box as well as a PAX, although it is currently under repair (not my fault for what it's worth). In any case, I have completely fallen in love with vaporization over the past year or so, even to the point where I have sold off all of my glass! Now, about me in general: I'm a 23 year old computer programmer with a love of all things space-related. I am also an avid movie critic as well, although watching and reviewing movies is more of just a pass time for me, while programming is my profession. After being on other forums including GC and reddit vaporents, I look forward to more intelligent and mature discussions on this site, as I have observed during my extensive lurking of FC. Glad I took the plunge and made an account! Thanks in advance for the warm welcome!

Sup ppl I'm johnny new member here! I've been a heavy smoker for a very long time and I decided to try vapes. so about a week later I get my 1st easy vape digital v5 (cheap Chinese pos) just to get me started and I love it! I'm already lookin at the Buddha so I can have a nice piece that I can be proud of now that I know vaping is the ONLY way to go.. Ever since I got my vape I can't stand butane!! So I invested in hemp wick and a glow rod, that'll have to do till I get my Buddha!!! Ttyl till then vape on!!!!

Hi guys, ENTiced here. Man, do I love vapes!

I bought my first vaporizer in college and, I have to tell you, it's good to see confirmation here that I went with a solid vape when I chose the Silver Surfer Vaporizer. Oh man, did the SSV and I have some good times. You know what the crazy thing was? There was some flub in the order and I somehow got two vapes! Looking back, it would have been better of me to inform them and return one, but I was more immature, selfish, and giddy at my good fortune.

Anyways, I moved on from the SSV to the DBV after the SSV's were taken by my parents a year in and barely missed a step. They do solid work at 7th Floor and didn't miss much going from the SSV to the DBV. I had that tool of enhightenment for 2 years before I convinced myself to stop smoking completely.

A year and a half has rolled on by and here I find myself vaping once again. I love a good bong rip now and then and I'll smoke out of a bowl/blunt/joint if it's offered, but I got me my Solo now and in this world of vaporized clouds of THC goodness, I choose to make my home.

I dunno, I'm kind of in an exploratory stage, guys! I'm 24, almost 25 and I feel like I'm at the stage of discovering myself and exploring that should have been happening a couple of years ago! I want to travel, vape with my friends in MJ-friendly states, go to Bonnaroo or Black Rock, visit Amsterdam, finally visit Australia; I want to skydive (maybe sober once, high next), surf, own a pet, learn MMA - I want to do interesting things and meet interesting people and go to interesting places! Hopefully, I can do all of that before...whatever it is that's my purpose in life.

EDIT: By the way, you guys like my stoned looking kitten? It's actually my friends but it looks so baked when you hold it by the scruff of the neck! Love it. Think I should make it zoom closer to his face or keep it as is?

Subbin Every Minute of it !!
Good Morning FC members,
Well after creeping this site since summer & as I am not presently a vapourizor owner, I finally felt I was qualified now to make a post/ask a question because my lovely wife will be giving me a Sublimator for Christmas (I am one lucky SOB).
So a little about me, male, hitting the half century mark in the spring, daily smoker (i know gross) for 30 some odd years now, but only recently having tried a few different vapourizors (MFB, Arizer (?), "G pen ). Found them very different, but I still play old timers hockey & want to preserve whatever lung capacity i have left so i started iooking into them, asking friends, trying when/whatever.
Brings me to now, guess you'll be hearing more from me after Christmas morning when i offically become a vapourizor owner, CHEERS !!

I have a life again.
hello all! (wake-n-bake, so forgive spelling, grammatical errors)

new to the forum. luckily stumbled upon this after finally buckling down and figuring out settings for my vapir. worked! read around some more & enjoyed the wealth of knowledge & comments here.

short: I played american football since I was crappin yellow..made it to the highest (lol) level (worked my ass off, never partied) and have been dealing with doctors and pills and alcohol for almost 11-12 years.

fast forward to today and my new medication works 110% better than any pill or the MASSIVE amount of alcohol I used to consume. i went from 238 to 178 since I stopped drinking almost 3 years ago. feeling great... but need some help on finding that proper strain to address someone's who's tolerance is very high. even worse, I do not live in a "green friendly" state so... there's that.

i can honestly tell you. the things you hear about on the news are a fraction of what's really going on with ex-players suffering. the nfl knew for years you should not play after receiving a concussion and hide the findings. that's why it's a bunch of crap. you get a concussion... it has to be soooo bad that they HAVE TO TAKE you off the field. not your personal choice to leave the game. (bye-bye starting position). they tried to get me to play 3 weeks after a broken fibula & I had play less than 2 weeks after a 3rd degree separated shoulder. you should see what it looks like now. I can tell you weeks before the the tempture drops.

any advice would be greatly appreciated. and nice to meet you all. hope you have safe and happy holidays.

Hi Gang,

I am a newly minted vaporer.

Here's mine:

aTUt7kX.jpg

I used the Lava c-cigs with the cartridges, but that got to be a bit pricey. So, for Christmas I went and bought a Gravity Thunderbolt. With everything included that I bought, I spent $185.49. The Thunderbolt cost me $159.99. It's got a huge tank. I've got a picture of it.

5np4RmFl.jpg

It's adjustable, as in the smoke. I run mine around 6.0P. I tried 150 once. I thought my head was going to explode. Way too much vapor.... :o

Anyhow, I think it's great, cheaper than marlboro's and better for me too.

Best to you all, from the old fogie in Detroit! (I'm 41...) :myday:

Hello all - Im Merlin AKA the Wiz :) I'm a balding mid-30s dad of twin 6 year olds! I'm known to be sarcastic so I hope nothing comes across in a bad way when I type, I can't seem to turn the sarcasm off. My wife loves it.
I've been "medicating" via combustion for about 10 years now. I consider myself a casual user but NOT a pothead! LOL I recently stumbled onto this site and discovered a world I didn't even realize existed. I ran out to my nearest smoke shop and picked up my first vape, the PAX, and couldn't be happier. I haven't combusted ANYTHING since my little PAX arrived. I wish I would've known about it years ago.
Anyway, I am totally converted to vaping! But from the looks of the content on this forum, I still have LOTS of reading to do! You guys do a great job and I hope I can bring some value to this great resource of information.
Im gonna head over to the PAX thread soon and post some of my impressions on this sexy beast.

Combustion days are at end after 27 years. I've used a vape since the Volcano first showed up, but only when in company back then. Around 3 years ago got myself an Arizer EQ, which I am now about to depend on. Not spending another penny on tobacco, fuck combustion!
Going to be needing a portable, so am heading off to the forum for some more research. Thank you to all the member's who have shared their knowledge, makes the task much easier.

Hello FC.

Joined a week or so ago. I'm from the Seattle area, born and raised. Love this area of the globe and will never leave.

Great forum. Tons of information in all areas.

Have an aromed and an arizer solo on the way. Hope to see them both by tomorrow.

Been smoking out of glass for decades. Found out the hard way I have celiac disease, almost died going to the big box HMO's. Left them in a fit of rage after a decade of mis-diagnosis and health continuing to decline. All they did was treat the sypmtoms with big pharma. To heck with finding out the true cause. I used to weigh 185-190 when I was healthy fighting weight, got down to 105 and this didn't cause them any alarm ffs. I'm 6ft 1in and looked like a holocaust victim.

Long story short, found a wonderful naturopath and got a correct diagnosis after one visit and have been trying to fix my intestines and all the other complications from the decade of decline ever since.

I had to quit my job and take a year off to see if I can get healthy and put on some weight. I'm a month into this. I know it's attainable, I had a good run last summer, cut the Iv's to every 3rd week, put on weight, was sleeping decent, had an appetite. Then work got stressful, and stress kills me. So I declined again. Figured out that place of employment was not a good fit and I finally put in my resignation. They are paying my cobra through March, so I can't complain too much.

I get 2 litres total in 3 IV's weekly for supplementation, antibiotics and support. Takes about 4 hours total for this procedure.

I'm single, live alone, have 3 german shepherds and have been a dog person my whole life. They are a godsend.

Enough rambling, Cool site, glad to be here. :)
