Man... What a long day..
I had coffee, 2 5 hour energy to keep me awake and energized for the 12 hour drive to get to where my sister is..
Sister's boyfriend thought she was sleeping when he picked me up from my sister's and headed to the hospital-- Walked in the room and found her walking around looking real good- a bit weak and exhausted but shes a fucking trooper going through surgery and her first round of chemo
Was able to catch up and keep her occupied tonight
Her boyfriend and me snuck out for some late night cheesesteaks when sister passed out for the night- I got the couch in the hospital room and boyfriend got the lazboy... Hoping she can be released from the hospital in a few days but so far, looking good!
Sister talked to the head oncologist doctor in this hospital about medical flowers and the doctor approved it in a heartbeat but naturally said they can't provide or allow use in the hospital.. Makes sense but glad there is support for it!

@ludwig I'm glad to hear your sister is so strong. I'm still praying for her everyday.
I took an Oxycodone around 7pm last night, then vaped a ton of wax. Passed out and slept until it all wore off around 3am. I did wake up a few times during the night to re-position my arm, but was able to go right back to sleep.
I hope everyone else is ok.

Ludwig glad your sisters doing better . Vicki, hope you're pain free today cause we know Dreamerr is lol. You guys make me so jealous with all the waxes etc that you get in medical states. We get good weed in NYC, but no waxes or oils etc. and we pay a LOT.
It has been a bit quiet in here , but i think a lot of people are getting ready for the holidays.
I got to see Pink from the Pit last week, she's always fun.
And i got to go to a dinner the other night Bernie Williams and Willie Randolph -2 of my favorite Yankees
but i still want some of Dreamerr's wax . I'll just sit here and watch the snow fall and vape some Atomic Haze

I don't understand why the pain is so much worse with this particular injury. I know it's broken in 3 places, but I've broken a few bones in recent years, and none of them ever hurt this bad, for this long.

Well the short answer is because your bones aren't set or pinned , they are just immobalized and lined up but there's still some movement there . You also have inflammation there and soft tissue damage to ligaments etc, from the initial injury that cause the breaks and then you have blood cells rushing to the area to help healing.
The other thing is most people -not saying you, but most people don't take pain meds properly. Pain meds work best when taken before pain starts , it's harder to control pain after you're in pain -it's crazy but ..
I'd call the ortho and tell him you're still in a lot of pain, maybe one of those bones has shifted a bit. Do you have a Colles Fracture ?

I just saw the Orthopedic surgeon yesterday, and need to see him again this coming Monday. Each time is a $50.00 copay too. I'm just gonna have to wait until next Monday.
I understand what you are saying about the pain pills, but I just hate them so much. I'm taking half a tablet about every 4 hours too.

I hate pain meds too-can't stand them. Keep that arm elevated as much as possible and take the Tylenol and Vape Vape Vape . Hope you feel better soon.

God... I saw Pink when she was first starting out. I volunteered to take my 14 yr. old daughter and her friends to an N Sync concert. One of those colossal mistakes you make where you get there and think, wtf was I thinking? The only good part was Pink. The girls (in this fucking stadium) weren't too interested in her so you could actually hear her; albeit the sound was awful. Then came the madness..... thousands of screaming 14 yr olds. Brought me back to the days of seeing the Beatles for the first time in Toronto. However, I was a little more resilient back then. This time, I couldn't hear for 3 days and had the headache of a lifetime, lol.
