Except that's not @Nick3r's stuff. He's from Thailand so I believe he's using Thai weed, but it's not the Thai in the picture. That picture was taken on 2011:09:17 and is part of a blog about Amsterdam weed.

I first saw Thai stick in '72 or '73. It was the most potent weed you could get then, rivaling hash and kief. The stories about the opium dip were rampant but as far as I know, untrue. Later in the 70s we started to see dipped Thai stick, but with hash oil not opium.

Edit: If I had some I'd definitely try it in my Solo. @Snappo:

Never tried but it shows it in the instruction book. Put bowl in place of stem, put flowers in bowl turn up heat and stand upright. Should put off nice smell.

A mate of me lived in Thai for over an year, came back from there. He says most of weed nowadays came from Cambodia and looks like the bud on picture: pressed bricks that went through fermentation.The strings are usually used.

Now back to the topic:
Ordered from puffitup by discount code: < TNT > to get solo with Eds stem :rockon:for 180 only ! very fast shipping :tup:
also ordered from ebay a PNWT to avoid dry hot air. I believe it hurts lungs.
Gonna order all in one (PA, chargers) mode from FC member.

no PVHEs for me :nope: as I believe Eds should work just fine.
I found out glass screens upgrade but they work with default glass stems only , am I right?
Please give me advice what should I get more?
Hope to get solo until end of January and be able to use it properly.

Your solo should give you VISIBLE VAPOR if you set it to 7, let it reach temp, and sit for another 60 seconds.

If you can't cloud up a bubbler with a packed GONG on a Solo. Either the Solo is broke, or the weed is broke.

I also remember back in the day when ragweed was laced, PCP was a common one in the 90s. Smoking PCP laced weed would definitely fuck you up bad, and make you 'trip'. Bad bad bad

Nick3r, sorry but Im not sure about whats going wrong with your vape. Try to get some fresh pepper mint, dry it properly, then fine grind it and pack into your vape. be careful as vaping temp for mint is much less then cannabis. Start from 130 C let it be <165C at max. If your vaporiser produces enough temperature then you will taste the most tasty minty in your life :) believe me :)

I'd ate mine tho , it Fucked me up for 3 days .
All I wanted was to come down from it !
After that ordeal , I said I would never do drugs again...

1. Dry fine grind
2. make sure your stem is inserted all the way down .
3. try it at level 7 and let it cook a bit before inhaling .
4. slow steady inhales .

Good purchases , that's enough for now , I would say .
You can also use the NO2 screens for your glass stems ,
if you still have any lying around , they form a nice dome shape .

So I bought a Peak 150watt "cup holder" converter to run my Jameco Pa in the car when I'm on the road for a while. Paid $15 from Kmart online (Black Friday sale). I dig it...the internal fan is a little loud, but I turn up the music and no problem.

I would have loved to get a Pipes car PA, but since I already had a PA and wanted a converter to power my laptop, I went with the most economical option. So far, I'm not mad at my decision...about three weeks with it now. Peace

My friend got a solo and we think it is under performing the videos we see online. heats to 7 about 1 minute with cap off(should it be on?). can you help us?
We packed 2 loads of solo duff(chron) in my no2 after it was done in the solo lvl7 and got 2 milky hits at 360, and more pulls at 400. Its an m1c1 model. Don't think its getting to temp. We get nice vapor with a stem or waterpipe but it just doesnt get milky or give the effects like the 400F from my no2. We cant get thick hits from this(http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0235/4119/products/DSCN2593.jpg?v=1380048745) with the GonG adapter. hitting it super hard gives better results. but the duff..... ?

Man now I'm worried with all of these m1c1 and m1d1s that sound like duds. I am recommending it too 3 of my friends. Hope I didn't steer them wrong

With Ed's stem, all you need is 1/2" stainless steel screens. I'd avoid brass if I were you.

Ed includes some extras, but I found changing the screen once a week keeps vapor production and taste right where I like it. Ed includes extra screens, so I didn't order additional ones until about two months after buying my stem from Ed.

I agree that Ed's stem was a great improvement over the stock stem (which I had grown used to) in terms of air flow. My main reason for buying a wood stem was to avoid the fragility of glass, but I was impressed with the wood stem in many ways. Since buying, it's all i use. Peace

Alright guys, I need some help. So I have a beautiful wooden stem from Ed's TNT, but it has gotten VERY clogged and I have no clue how to clean it. I understand the rubbing alcohol/q-tip approach, but there is junk behind the screen I need to get to.

Please help!! This thing is hitting way worse the the stock glass stems. And normally its amazing!


--- I should add I didn't receive the "ramming rod" I've read about in some other posts.

Currently soaking the whole metal part of the stem in 91% ISO. Hopefully that'll do the trick.

FYI the potpourri bowl does work if you use oil and smells nice if you are a few feet away. It is just a waste of the solo battery. If you can find a glass blower someone in this thread maybe taxi got it made into a stem.

Anyone with both a Solo and an Extreme Q

OK I blew a hole in the Solo potpourri bowl with a Dremel Tool and the large end fit over the top of my SSV wand used in my EQ. A EQ 7/16" OD silicon hose fits nicely in small end then off to bubbles. Makes a nice clean hose attachment.

Being a teenager in the 70's and from the beach we had THAI STICKS galore!

The sticks we had were dipped in opium and laced with cocaine.
We dipped them further in HONEY OIL (BLONDE) and made THAI BOMB OILERS.

Very powerful!

The THAI sticks that I had were only made from TOP KOLAS.
I think it was a matter of selection and treatment!

They were $10 - $20 a piece and were worth it at the time.

Today the same THAI STICK might be $100?

There were some copy cats at the time missing the opium dip.

We had the real ones!

They were dipped!

Hello, does anyone have a source for a replacement teflon ring? I attempted to remove mine for cleaning (something I've done in the past) and it was brittle, split in two around the perimeter. I bet kevin can send me one but I wanna make sure I can find one before the holidays.

..My friend had one of these models I believe (not sure, just know it came out after my M107) and here's what I observed. First the aluminum shell was MINUTELY smaller in diameter, his cap would sit inside the threads of mine. The black finish was much slicker, harder to handle IMO and made your hand sweat when it got warm. I thought it was a knockoff initially,since I had heard no new of a new serial batch after the M107 lineup.

His performed good, but would often read that it had reached the selected temp, then drop down to 1-2 as soon as you hit it, and sure enough youd have to wait; the initial reading was false. Also, after a 100% charge, if you unplugged and replugged the solo, the charging light would flash for several minutes, every time. While mine may 'charge' for a moment after sitting and being plugged back in, the 3rd time you plug in the green always goes solid after a single blink, and . (I'm OCD and do this every time to make sure its completely topped off before putting it up). His battery life was shortened after about 6months, but I attribute that to always being on low charge and drained every single time. My other friend purchased a Solo around the same time (dont know model number) and it randomly gives a crazy light show when plugged in, instead of charging!

To be honest I dont know if I want to buy a newer model Solo. My 107 has messed up led sequences for some reason (its custom if anyone asks), but after giving a good cleaning, works as good as new, 1.75 years ago. I would be pretty upset if I had to trade for something that seems to not get along with itself.

hello all...
my o rings came and i was about to get it goin on using the method i initially saw here earlier.....
i unscrewed the lid and instead of pushing the ring on the stem and tightening the cap back on i decided to remove the 4 screwed hub holding the ss heat bowl......
underneath/inside the hub is a removeable double slotted disc/ring of sorts...
.....its my honest opinion that these slots around the inside/outside were both or one designed specifically for o rings to bi in place....maybe they realized w/ any air constriction the users gotta draw a little harder....and scrapped it...

any way the 2 slotted ring drops out...and its flimsy bendy plastic......that....and that alone are the only way my method works.....
put the o ring in the OUTER slot....put the ring back in the hub and screw it up....
...make sure the 2 clips lock back in....heavy hands need nimbleness here....

now that the o ring is encased in the unit makes melting a non issue....
but also now that o ring is nice n tight...like a tiger...putting just enough "push/pressure on that bendy inner ring to hold the stems imo perfectly...snug.

i usually start at 4 and finish at 5.5 w/ decent enough results to take it this far.....but now...im 75% on 3 blowing clouds....i am not kidding....im still kinda shocked at the vapor production im getting and the flavor on 3 is enormous.....

...works like a dream....however....when i put the phillips in my hand i understood fully that i might fuck it...lucky bounce i suppose....still have my tablet at aroma-tek just in case

I have two SOLO's.
My first one over 2 years old is a M107.
This unit I will always keep.
Once I changed the battery pack in my new one it's better than it was.

It's been said that the number do not make a difference?

Do you normally inhale with your lungs/diaphragm? I do and i find the solo to be tricky to hit. Sometimes I don't get much because i'm hitting it wrong.

Hit it very slowly with your mouth. It should feel like you're pulling slowly with the back of your throat? Like you're drinking a super thick milkshake?
