Thanks GG and because of some musical education given by my daughter, I was able to identify this as dubstep.
Not to be critical because my musical tastes are probably as questionable as anyone's and it's probably just me morphing into oldmanhood, but I've finally run up against a musical genre that I just don't get.
My grandpa on my mothers side was a professional French Horn player for the Detroit Symphony Orchestra back when the city was a booming metropolis (30's-50's) so I was brought up to be a classical music snob. Of course it didn't work. I did manage to avoid getting into 80's hair band music, though I hear it's considered "classic rock" and apparently acceptable again with kids these days...shudder.
I do appreciate the exposure to all of the obscure musicians on this thread
