Discontinued The Inhalater INH004 Phytotherapeutic Rechargeable Portable Vaporizer

Well, I managed to loose one of the little lens caps that cover the LED light, I covered it with some clear tape to keep stuff from getting inside. I count myself lucky though, I was at the festival this weekend and dropped the INH out of my pocket, and had to back track to find it. Luckily it was late and there were not many people out and active in the camp where it fell. The lens may have dropped off then, hard to say exactly. I am very happy I found the INH though.

In a few days on September 13 , I celebrate ONE YEAR with my original Inhalater INH400 from PlanetVape
I intentionally broke my first capsule to study the material, and put in a spare
I bought 8 spare capsules... and am proud to announce I am still on my original
capsule, and it works well.
I use the Inhalater 1 or two times every day.
I have NEVER removed the inside screen.
I clean the inside after each load by placing the straw in there and applying forefull suction
with my mouth (yes I eat the crumbs)
I do the same each load to my capsule.
Over the past 12 months since I got the Inhalater from PlanetVape, I have
immersed the Polymode capsule in (91% Iso and shaken briskly, then rinsed and vacummed.
The Inhalater works today as it did one year ago.
Thanks Inhalater, and thanks PlanetVape!

* I have used a Q-tip dipped in Iso to clean the inner walls of the Inhalter...
using a gentle yet firm upward stroke from deep inside to the orifice.

My INH004 is still my go to, and favorite battery portable to use. I get consistent results, and its just been a reliable companion. I also love how it can plug in USB and charge (in the car) on road trips etc... so much easier to load and work with when on the go as well. I have been rotating between 2 capsules, and just toss one into the iso jar for a day or two for a soak, then rinse with tap and dry w/ a qtip. They are holding up quite well, and do show wear, but are still very much intact. I do remove the inner screen once in a while, as I do not care for the vacuum method. Otherwise I will just use a dry qtip while its still warm in the oven to remove build up, or dab a little Iso on the tip first.

Wow you all do a lot of work lol. I just chuck it in iso and also use vito's straw method on all my vapes as it is great. I even use it in my solo stem. I will say I broke a capsule on purpose to see if I can doohicky a bullet from the PN in the INH but a no go. I had of course had to put a new one in and it did improve the taste so if you want to improve that then change it. My capsule looked better ok way better then yours vito and I certainly don't do what you do. I don't' even know what vacuum thing is. I iso shake, let dry hopefully but not usually dry enough and just vape. I also never remove the screen or the one in the INH for that matter as I can't get it out.

I use the INH a lot still as it is a great vape. A matter of fact is I am using the solo at the moment but used the INH earlier.

I've only removed the screen from the oven, not the capsule, that would be too much. No, hardly any work involved at all. I only clean under the main screen after a few months of use and build up. Main work is loading/unloading.

Love the rainbow lips Dramerr!

I tried your method to get it out and an ssv pick to no avail so I gave up lol. You are right loading and unloading is to much work cause I have to move hehe. That is the beauty of my preloaded bullets in the PN...it works well for me. I tried that cap from a tire like you said but nothing seemed to function for me well enough to get me excited lol. Besides the PN smells a bit less and is a bit smaller so for out it works well for me.

Thanks, I was playing with my avatars..doesn't matter why but when I was going back to the RHPS lips I saw these on line and grabbed them. I think I will keep them as I like them as well.

My biggest gripe with the Inhalator was that after a month of use my capsules looked just like Vitolo's and they would never come clean. In my eyes this meant I would have to replace them to get that like new taste again and at $10 a pop +shipping that could get expensive. Well recently I scored a Mobius Ion Matrix out of the classifieds:rockon: and decided to get some PBW to keep it crystal clear. You can probably see whats coming but one thing led to another and my Inhalator capsules ended up soaking in PBW. WOW! it actually worked after a 48hr soak my capsule is almost like new. Even where the piece of poly overlaps itself is clear again. I imagine another soak or 2 and it will be completely clean. So there you go I highly recommend you try cleaning your capsules with PBW.

The reason my capsule looks so old and well used, is because it is.
I did not see the need to go for the next capsule, as the flavor has not degraded in the least.
IN FACT----->
I now stick with it, as I consider the capsule to be well seasoned.... and absolutely void of any essences other than my meds.
As I already stated, I have over a half dozen soldiers standing here at ready in case needed.
Moral:
if it aint broke.......

Ok, I haven't been around for a bit, but thought I'd stop in and say that my OG inh that I received last october has been going strong the whole time.
I got 3 capsules with it, and still have 2 of them, and yes they look like Vitolo's.
It's came with we to at least 200 days of work, and hasn't failed me yet. Usb is priceless, because it can sit in the truck charging and ready for my needs.
I used to bring a little grinder, but lately a full load of bubble gets me through the day.
Haven't stayed up as well as I used too, but for a pen sized vape that is a solid mix of convection and conduction, I think it still holds its own.
The level of extraction and abv evenness still amazes me.
So, hats off to you Inhalator crew!

I'll chime in too, I still favor my INH004 over my other portables as a quick grab pocket vape. I also really appreciate the easy USB(car) charging feature, and find the INH to last most of a full day of vaping between charges. I am rotating between the same 3 capsules which all seem to still be in good condition, though a bit discolored. I have not yet noticed any drop in battery performance, so I hope it continues to run strong for a while.

what I like alot about the INH004 is that it hardly makes me cough and I cough FAST.
I use it native, no extensions whatsoever and it has an even shorter vapor path this way than the pinnacle but from all the vapes I have, this one makes me cough the least (I often use it on 8 or 9)
keep in mind that I use it on highest settings, so I compared with devices that can go to similar temps.

Honestly, sounds like the 004 is a better option than the XP atm.
For me the original INH 004 was always a better device than the XP. It CAN whitewall a biggish Vapour Lung! The XP cannot! Period!

And I coughed a lot with both... The vapour is just too hot with such a short vapour path. I used a GonG adapter and a down-stem as a mouthpiece to keep the sessions bearable.

The 04 rocks is all. I have no idea why they "improved" it NOT. The new one has so many issues. Funny thing is the usb is an issue as it isn't supported in either model but the new ones seem to fail more dunno why.

I kind of regret not getting a used 004 when i had the chance! I might get one if the opportunity arose again.
I had bought a used one previously to the one I use now, and after selling it, I quickly regretted it, and jumped on the first used one that popped up again. I've seen a couple of used ones pass by on ebay too. I wonder, can you still buy the 004 new?

I own an inh004 that has always worked great! I also have an xp, but it recently stopped charging so I had to send it back for repair. I prefer the xp because it heats up faster, strays at temperature better and I can milk much larger bong hits with it. I just wish it didn't have so many issues. Mine had some problems with the knob too. Funny how the older model keeps on working without issue but the new one has the problems. I guess in order to innovate and improve a product you also have to make a few mistakes in the process. I'm just glad inhalator has been easy to communicate with and is working on fixing the issues.

The problem is that they had the 004, a reliable unit that was pretty unique at the time. They didn't have to rush the XP onto the market and then make revisions after. They had time to do some prototypes, tests, and then release a more reliable unit.

They had a big initial surge, but after people are still having problems almost 10 months in since the release with various opinions, I think it's safe to say they lost some potential buyers.

My XP i've sent in once, and it's slowly having a bit more malfunctions but not enough to warrant sending it in yet. I'm just thankful they're based in Canada, or else the potential shipping costs would be a hard pill to swallow.

My INH004 is scheduled for an exchange.
It will be exchanged for the XP... in short order.
I put this off as long as I could, but last night, after the charging routine... which had begun to include scotch tape to keep the charger in a specific position to the "port".. as I unplugged the charger, I felt a little movement. I re=plugged, to see no blink of light.
I believe my charging system has seen it's last day.... but I am on a full charge.
I will have to use my unit accordingly and make the last couple of sessions count!

The 004 has worked fine for me. Received Dec '12, died early Jan '13, then repaired and returned in a timely and courteous fashion. Very happy with performance. An occasional toke on 3, but mostly going from 4 to 7.
This vape has got me smashed in places my Extreme Q can't go. Not that the EQ isn't portable. Mine has done 75,000 road miles, a couple??? of (10's of thousands??) of those miles plugged in, sitting on the passengers side floor, then in and out of hotels every 4 or 5 days, all over a big country, and touch wood , hasn't missed a beat. But it is hard to take to work each day.
Since repair my Inhalater 004 hasn't missed a beat. Rock festivals, yacht regatta's, yacht deliveries, 50000 air miles, 10000 road miles, shit loads of pubs, and from skyscrapers to rice paddies to open ocean it has always put the smile on the dial, so to speak. So many good things about it- ease of loading, ease of charging (if you remember), good temp range with a strong top end.
I would love to be able to disassemble the heating chamber for cleaning purposes, and I wish the capsules were cheaper, but overall this vape has been great for me. Thanks Inhalater.
Driving 300 miles t'morow to check out an XP. Hope I like it.
And as I'm not posting often, I'd just like to thank the likes of Pappy, Vitolo, Stonemonkey, Hippie Dickie, DDave, Dreammer, Stickstones, Iwien and many, many others for making FC cool!
