Info from the end of the PDF guides on their website:

Designed in the USA
Assembled in China
Patents Pending

They updated Facebook/Instagram since yesterday. Hopefully only a matter of time before the manufacturer shows up here.

Here's some Firefly vapes mid-assembly

and another of a Firefly with Hong Kong skyline

I hope that is a Chinese hand or the Firefly is kind of biggish... :p

Looks smartphone size, guess I was wrong about my estimation earlier. The circle does look about the same size as a Cera core.

Old smartphone sized?
Alright, my sense is skewed because I've got an HTC One with a 4.7 inch screen (body size 13.72cm x 6.82cm). It's no Galaxy Note, but iPhone screens do always look small to me when I hold them, hehe. I think that, on average, smartphones are getting a little bigger rather than smaller.

I am interested in this one but I think I might have to see some user reviews before I go and spend $260+ on it
I have been in love with my Pax since day one, so hopefully this one will give the pax a run for their money, and I would love to have one.

Anyone pre-order one yet?

The magnetic flat airpath is quite similar to my favorite combustion pipe the Journey Pipe http://www.journey2.com/

I don't combust that often, but when I do, this is by far my favorite pipe as its insanely easy to clean. If the Firefly design is similar, its going to make it one of the easiest to clean vape and I think thats a huge plus for me.

I was thinking the EXACT thing. I am def going to follow this closer as the journey is MY Favorite pipe as well.

A journey style vape ...

It's interesting that there's been no news on this (unless I'm checking the wrong thread). yes, the Grasshopper is smaller, but this certainly seems pocket-sized and very interesting. Maybe it's just the absurd price.

Oh ye of little faith. I think the design is simple enough to work. As the Vape Critic said, "My initial impressions are that this thing is like a sexy, beefed-up, technology-enhanced Launch Box." Trusting as I am (I own a first run Cera as well as a first run Pax and am quite happy with both) I went ahead and put in a pre order. I'll let you all know what I find out. But I'm betting it will be one sweet unit. I think the comparison to the MFLB is about the on-off per toke / increase in heat while you draw rather than a direct comparing of heating types... If you know what I mean.

A beefed-up Cera more likely... It is simple enough to work as advertised though as you said. I hope you get it fast and tell us what you think! :)

The cera was kind of a little too beefy to begin with. I like the idea behind this vape but the price is really pushing it. Eagerly awaiting the reviews.

Great Scott!
Watching with interest. I'd like something that rivals the pax in ease and portability, but the only real upgrade I want out of a pax competitor would be convection > conduction for me personally.

This should be bigger and less stealthy than the Pax with the lights and the hot ring on the top... I think of it as an electronic Lotus. You go to a private place, you take a couple of potent, thick draws and you are good to go in less than a couple of minutes. Should be interesting, especially if they drop the price a little....

The price point I'm fine with IF it functions as I expect. The pax comment I meant more like simple to use and stealthy as in true pocket sized. I love my thermovape cera, but when I'm with friends they prefer the pax because it is easy to use without any practice. That means conduction vapor which I find much harsher, wasteful, and less effective than convection. Hopefully this functions as easily as the pax.

Who thought any portable was going to match the volcano? I'm so confused by that lol.

I think you didnt get the memo or stepped outside to vaporize when it was being passed around. The running joke is almost all the new companies compare their unit to a volcano. Even the portable ones. If they ever do you should watch out. As these come off as bold and ignorant to many here.

I !!

am a happy mutant still looking for the perfect portable vape !!

but …

despite the 10% promotion ,this thing is still a bit pricey ….especially considering what we know about it ,which is close to zero.
