Congrats, Thats another reason i love the lotus so much, I can pass it to a noob and even they got good ass hits with no learning curve, once I show them the technique they freak out like " How could this vape get any better"Initial impressions of the Lotus just out of the box:
So this was my first hit off any flame vape ever so to find success on the first try is fantastic. Yes I packed the bowl a bit too much and the browning was a tad uneven but it milked my Devastator on the second hit, first try was flavor country. So I am very impressed and only see things getting better as my technique improves. Excellent job @Max Jitter
- Awesome build quality everything looks and feels amazing
- WPA/Lotus Cap fits my low profile reducer without alteration to stir stick
- Works IRL just like I imagined it would, very straight forward

The lotus is on my christmas list! really looking forward to trying the latest revision. My lovely lady and I loved the first one we had with the WPA so much we used and abused it heavily until the plate on top cracked.... I miss it dearly, it was so kind to us! Us not so much to it.

but couldn't justify the expense, as i have a working one... but this is the perfect hook to go with the lotus design imo
as for the comparison with the cloud: i have not used my cloud one single time since getting the lotus, not even once lol it's gonna go up in the classifieds soon - just want to keep it around for the new years eve party

If anyone buys this piece, please post here and let us know how it is with the lotus. I like the style of it. Also, does anyone know if it stands on its own straight up, or if you have to lay it down? I would love to find a Sherlock that stands up on its own, bowl-up.

Well, that's awesome. Because I thought that was BF only kind of deal. Because I thought it was a great deal, and I mulled it over and thought I missed a great chance. However, I just jumped on it, and I can't wait to finally own a Lotus. I've wanted one since I first heard about it, but I had LB and it was good enough. I really wanted it after my buddy got one.
Also, because Winter break is coming up, I figured I could play with it a lot during that time instead of waiting for Massdrop's shipping to arrive in Feb.

I used EZvapes as well. So far so good, they shipped monday and if I didn't live in a small town I would have had it today I think. C'mon monday!
We should have more J hooks in stock next week. We will be selling those from Grav Lab, which are the traditional shape. They are thicker than some I've seen but not as thick as those from Black Leaf. Black Leaf would have been nice but they are in the EU and shipping costs would have been too high.

As for thickness and durability, its pretty thin and very brittle. This is what happened after a 14" fall off of my lap onto the carpeted floor...
So yeah, still on the lookout for a durable j-hook.

Just got my black friday order from MT in today! I have a question for you @Max Jitter! Is there a lotus V3?! I got my new cap in today and noticed a few difference. I have some side by side pictures to show as well.
The new cap is on the left, old on the right. Immediately I noticed the longer stir rod and the inclusion of a patent number on the metal in the top pic. On the top of the lotus cap my old one has this triangle inside the circle as you can see in the picture, while the new cap does not. I'm wondering what revisions each of these is and what other features might be "under the hood" of the new cap!

Well I missed out on the discount deal but I finally took the plunge and ordered a short stem/natural cap w/ WPA (#740).
Looking forward to using this next week and comparing it to my current vapes. I used to have a vaporgenie and I am thinking I am really going to like the superior design of the Lotus.

If your in need of one put up a "want to buy" ad in the classifieds. Within 48 hours I had to 2 offers and stuck a deal for a near brand new unit with the glass j-hook, the aluminum mouthpiece, the WPA adapter and extra screens all for 90 shipped. I did the same thing when I wanted a pax and had lots of offers very quickly. This community is great.
We have Grav Labs J hooks in stock now (as of this morning). Hopefully they are sturdier than the ones we had been selling, which we bought from various websites. I drop tested the Grav Lab J hook onto a carpet from 3 feet, with the WPA and vapor cap attached. It didn't break no matter which end of the J hook touched first. I then tried the same test above a linoleum floor at a 14" height. I then tested a broom and dustpan. Yeah I wouldn't expect much glass of anything to survive on linoleum. What kind of carpet was the test on? My carpet is the tight woven kind so its not super bouncy but does have some impact absorption because multiple glasses have fallen off my desk and stayed alive. That older J-hook was just really delicate. I'm glad you were able to find some sturdier models, I might buy another one if the pricing is good. It would be cool if we could have a picture or two of the current j-hook too.
Can't wait to receive my new Lotus ordered from EZVAPES. They didn't have the natural wood version I wanted, so I'm waiting for them to get their new shipment, hopefully next week. I did, however, receive my water tool adapter from MT/Lotus, and I can tell you it is a quality piece! Wish I had ordered some extra screens... I think I'm going to order the Black Leaf Inline Diffuser to go with it http://www.planetvape.ca/black-leaf-inline-diffuser.html. Will keep you all posted with a review and some pics.

I have the black leaf nautilus inline that I have been using for 2+ years now as my vaporbong. Nice piece for the $ and I really like the inline diffusion, not too little and not too much, just perfect for vapor. I've banged it around quite a bit and the glass is solid, the weak point is the inline diffuser itself but I have had good luck so far with mine.
Glad I picked up the extra screens for $2, just one less thing to worry about.
I definitely am interested in what people think about the Lotus vs Solo comparison. The solo was the only other vape I was considering right now but I decided that I liked the simplicity and zombie apocalypse reliability of the Lotus more and the solo was probably fairly similar to my Rockzap with the milkshake like draw.
