Things that go well with vaporizing

Hmmm, trying to remember some of the older (showing my age) vinyl trippy stuff. A fellow playing flute in the Taj Mahal, you could hear fireworks in the distance and a buzzing insect. Something like an 18 second natural echo in the main room of the Taj.And this dude playing pretty ethereal stuff. Just looked him up, forgot his name, Paul Horn (1968) . Long time since I heard it.

Court of the Crimson King (King Crimson) may be my other favorite dark room music. Very load of course. Those first faint notes before the blast of 21st Century Schizoid Man still give me chills. Maximum anticipation. The rest of the alum is brilliant.

Firesign Theatre, 'Two Places At Once' still makes me grin pretty wide when I'm vaped pretty good. "If you lived here, you'de be home by now. Antelope freeway 1/16th mile...", "With red, yellow, and blue oxygen level danger indicator.", "No, that's Agness Morehead..."

Zappa & Hendix & Janis & Doors & Led & Creedance & CSN&Y & lots of those. Deep Purle and Grand Funk Railroad. (Too bad there are no musicians anymore ...) I get into some classical like Vivaldi & Mozart too. Jazz too.

Bit of a funny side story, I had a 1966 Volkswagen with an 8-Track and like a joke it had Niel Young's 'Harvest' stuck in it, several months, I had no money to replace it and WTF it was tunes. You gotta love music to listen to one album that many times...

Funny how similar our tastes are here. Zeppelin is another big favorite over here. :luv:

For those who are playing their music on their computer, and even for those who aren't, you need to check out Winamp for its fantastic visualization plugin Milkdrop. If you have a reasonably fast computer with a decent graphics card you can watch some of the most trippy visuals this side of some sunshine acid. They sync up with the music so it can be a real experience, I've lost hours staring at the screen.

I'll get some screen shots up in a while.
Is it on the free version?

Visuals with music? In my head...

I use QCD as my audio player. With skin 4.20 of course. Have for many years now. Works through Vista. Very simple and fast. I've used Winamp and have I-Tunes on my system (i-Pod), but always go to QCD for a quick track play , album or all day shuffle etc. (You can easily rip streaming music as mp3 with it too...)

Wanna get trippy? What about all that backwards stuff on your fave wax? Hendrix, Beatles, Ozzy... Ever heard it right side up? Sure you can throw a table in neutral, and run it back, but the stylus doesn't work so well in reverse and getting the speed right is just a guess, making the sound less than perfect. Here's one place a computer can be a handy tool.

I ran a Zappa track with 'backwards' stuff on it the other day. 'Harry, Your A Beast'. Always wondered what the backwards interlude was saying... When you run it backwards , it's backwards, or sounds that way. A jumble run backward, nonsense, hillarious, no hidden message at all. Haha, Frank you got me. A 40 year old joke.

Anybody wanting a pretty nice audio editor (freeware) check out Audacity, gotta load Lame to get the mp3 function but it's no big deal. You can realy do a lot with this editor and it works right up through Vista too. I've used it to remove the crackles and pops from some very old recordings too. Lots of very high end tools for a free editor.

When I am vaping, in music I like a lot of different styles but I always find that Stevie Ray Vaughn is good for anything anytime. I also like my Zeppelin, and ZZ top for driving while blind. But if you are hitting it hard you should definitely play the album "Hairway to Steven" by The Butthole Surfers. Also Johnny Cash is always good with some Willie thrown in. And what would a session be without some of Floyd's album "Animals". Best paranoid line ever in a song is in "Dogs".

if you want that "heavy Feel" i tried some lettuce Extract last night with my evening bowls and it was pretty effective, stupifying me a bit and i slept in this morning two hours extra past sunup(not what i want everyday for sure) it was in the form of a tincture with water one full dropper. I would prolly use this stuff again for something a little different, or if im Having trouble sleeping, It's Not Recreational though IMO

Ive still got the Resin (lettuce) to try and soaked lettuce bud, i'll get back to you on that, im in no rush so i'll b a while, I like Waking before the Sun Rises(Magic Time)

I love eating fruit when under the influence. However, I was always lead to believe (and thought it did through experience) that vitamin c affected the high, and sobers you up. Thats why I dont eat fruit when stoned unless I forget :ko:

Crazily enough I like drinking a cup of water with a teaspoon of Terramin clay while I'm vaping. It seems to have a grounding effect.

I like to floss, brush my teeth and put on lounge pants before my first evening hit. Lounge pants are essential to me; they're so much more comfortable than jeans.

Women! What can you say? Who made 'em? God must have been a fuckin' genius. The hair... They say the hair is everything, you know. Have you ever buried your nose in a mountain of curls... just wanted to go to sleep forever? Or lips... and when they touched, yours were like... that first swallow of wine... after you just crossed the desert. Tits. Hoo-ah! Big ones, little ones, nipples staring right out at ya, like secret searchlights. Mmm. Legs. I don't care if they're Greek columns... or secondhand Steinways. What's between 'em... passport to heaven. I need a drink. Yes, Mr Sims, there's only two syllables in this whole wide world worth hearing: pussy. Hah! Are you listenin' to me, son? I'm givin' ya pearls here.

LPs are so much more satisfying to listen to than CDs. To me CDs are convenient and that's about it. They do sound like what they are - disembodied digital reconstructions of music on aluminum.
But the record companies got us to buy our record collections all over again with the advent of CDs at double the price and they're cheaper to make and ship.
