absolute, shatter or winterized honeycomb nothing about just iso oil. good call on top colas crown extracts big on that but to throw away an absolute? vacuum don't remove lipids. but im sure u know. believe me I love my just vac purge Newport run oils but come to find absolutes healthier, in some cases
I buy PURE GOLD and CO2 OIL and my BHO SHATTER I make.
I'm a very health conscience person however flavor is so important for my taste.
BHO the way I make it is really pure.
I throw a away my ABV because I hate the taste!
If you make it better please share!
I'm all ears!

I think were agreeing here except I just believe an absolute of almost any essential oil u are going to b vaporing and inhale/puffhuffing should be removed of 5 min later caughs and lipid retention in the lungs but like I said I do love my just vaced bho and agree that most of the time it can be more flaverfull but do to the lipid separation and removal of every ppm of tane is a little more on the healthy side but hey loving vaced shatter in the hurc as we speak no time to discriminate just time to liberate

Hello Peeps,

I've been gone for a month or so again with health issues and such but wanted to know if anyone had any tips to give me on the hercules. When I last left off on this thread, it was suggested to cut the oil coil to 60/40 and use the coil according to the oil, but i'm still getting wispy hits some times.

Was just wondering if there's anything to improve the hits, and also what's the best way to clean these oil coils if even needed to clean?

Which rod are you using?

With the black rod I use a 30% coil and with decent priming I get hits comparable to 1.5ohm carts full of flavor!

With the white rod I use a bigger coil and I get massive hits that will cause a coughing frenzy :ko:

You might be hitting the buffer off the coil? Bigger coil equals more buffer.. And I don't clean my coils but if you must I say a good iso bath should take care of it, I also find after I clean the herc minus the coil that I get bigger clouds but that might just be in my head idk.

Im wondering the same thing. The writing on the AW's looks the EXACT same as the ones that came with my persei's. Ive also been told that efests are the EXACT same thing as AW's except they have a different wrapper. It just doesnt make sense why AW's are so much better. Nobody has given me a better answer than because theyre better.

EDIT: Caligula gave a slightly beter answer, but still doesnt make sense why if theyre the same technology and battery type.

What batteries come stock with the persei? I thought it was trustfires but when I look on PV they are solid red. The persei I traded for is only coming with a dual top so I ordered a new chrome unit from eBay for $70 so I guess I'm about to find out but am curious ...

The OEM Persei batteries are no name generic IMR batteries, and are not rebranded AWs. They are not made with the same QC in regards to both materials and assembly/manufacturing.

They have been proven again and again not to be up to the task of providing continuous power levels over time, unlike AWs and to a lesser extent the Efest batteries. While this is a non issue with the OG Omicron and Persei carts, the stock generic IMRs just wont cut it when it comes to powering things like the Hercules SR71.

Furthermore, it is the Efest and AW brand batteries that have been rumored to be identical on the inside. NOT the OEM batteries UP Tech includes with the Persei.

Now I'm not going to sit here and find links to 3rd party testing that verifies all of this, but said reviews and tests can be found on numerous flash light and ecig enthusiast websites as well as FC it self.

My AW IMR's have always worked well!

May I change the subject?

I want to clean my K.I.S.S. cart for the first time since 3 grams of shatter have been processed.
Loading up on CO2 Oil until I feel comfortable with vacuum chamber to make more shatter.
For now I will just buy it until I can make it safely.
I'm trying not to be such a hacker!

The K.I.S.S. cart I can clean with 98% ISO.
HEATER as well?

I was going to order a new BLACK one however I forgot.
In the meantime looks like I will clean up my gear!

How do you clean it?

How do you clean it?

I soaked it in iso. The whole thing. I then used a paperclip to get at the stuff still stuck inside the bowl as well as to clean out the two air holes on the sides of the heater (paperclip fits perfectly). After that it was back in clean iso for more soaking.

Once it sat for a while longer, I removed the cart from its bath and then used a can of dustoff to blow out the iso. I then zapped the rest off by heating up the coil until it stopped sizzling and/or smoking.

Oh and extra fun... watch the ceramic go from Black to white again as you do the burn off!

Just be careful not to move the ceramic wick or coils too much when you clean it out. I found there is NO need to touch the coil or wick other than soaking it in iso. Everything burns off on it's own.

I really want to order a K.I.S.S cart right now but I came here to ask if anyone knew if it would work on an ego-c battery with a thread adapter? If so what option should I order, the O-PHOS one? Lastly does anyone know what voltage to run these at (I'm assuming 3.6v)?

thanks!

Yes around 3.7v in that area.

IDK if the OPHOS will fit on 510 carts as is? I doubt it. You better order one thats not OPHOS vaporzier type and just use a thread adapter.

I brought mine out with me to an arcade tonight was hitting it in the arcade. Let like 3 other people hit it, there are 3 people who asked me tonight where I can buy them :)

Sooo your saying that the kiss cart will work on a 510 threaded device with a thread adapter (obviously a thread adapter is necessary)? So should i get the omicron light version?

ya i got a omicron 2.0 version, but i have a persei and ego battery with a thread adapter. so it will work as long as you don't buy the 5 ohm version because there isn't much out there besides W9 devices that will put out 7.4v

It'll work but it won't look as slick/stealth as an Ophos or Omi Lite since there will be no gaps or exposed threads.

Also there are still arcades?

It just doesnt make sense why AW's are so much better. Nobody has given me a better answer than because theyre better.

Perhaps a couple of insights will help? First off, AW is "Andy Wong", a battery broker. It's not a brand in the usual sense, he doesn't make them but buys them to spec and has QA such that defects are basically zero. There are no 'rebranded AWs' out there.

IMR is a chemistry. Many battery brands use it, some use others (like the more common Li-ion). AW versions, however, are optimized for flat out power output. This is done by very pure components with large mass for their capacity. Notice how the mAh capacity is often less than 'better' brands? In fact, the 1600 mAh version of the AW 18650 will outperform (in terms of heat delivered) their 2000 mAh version for that reason, more 'flat out power' but for a shorter time. The key specification is "internal resistance", a spec generally not published. The lower it is, the more power the battery can deliver 'in a pinch' and the cooler it stays doing so.

Here's an interesting and useful set of charts on the matter, notice the bottom two? The 1600 mah AW IMR is literally 'off the chart' in power delivered:
