I currently own omi and persei/sr-71, will have a Ti Cera EO next week! I'll let everyone know what I think. I guess it all depends on what you mean by portable...
What is the new cera, or the heating problem you are referring to?
As far as deciding between the omi, persei or cera i have both a persei/herc sr71 and a cera so ill let you know my thoughts.
Off the bat, i would immediately throw out considering the omicron, its inferior to both the cera and persei.
Size wise, the persei and cera are about the same. The cera is obviously heavier than the persei. And With the sr71 attachment the persei is a little longer, but still lighter...
Function wise, theyre pretty similar as well. The white rod in the persei sr71 is pretty compareable to the cera. Although with the white rod you can do oils and herbs at the same time if you choose... The herc sr71 with the black rod is better than cera taste wise but it also has a learning curve some people cant seem to get over...
Cleanability the herc wins, fully disassembles and can clean to brand new.
Pricewise, theyre about similar for everything (cera EO battery charger vs persie+hercules)...
If your looking for just oils, you cant go wrong with the persei and herc or the cera. If you plan on doing herbs ever Cera wins hands down, but will run yu an extra hundred dollars. (You can get the LL at any time though doesnt have to be with your order)
If this is your first pen and/or vape, i would definitely go with cera. Far easier to use and get the hang of, much more user friendly and less complicated
I had a problem with my first Cera which was fixed and has not had a problem since. The second Cera I bought when first went in for repairs has never had an issue.
I would not call the Cera stealth for a portable vape but it is my favorite. If I need stealth I use an Omni.

No, you will need to purchase batteries. The basic kit does not come with batteries or a charger. The reason for that is a lot of people already have batteries for it and chargers and there's no need to include more stuff if it won't be used, also helps break up prices so that if you need parts they're not too expensive.

Can anyone tell me why my switch is getting so hot? This started last night, I filled my oil cart which was fine but the next time I used it, the ring surrounding the button got uncomfortably hot within 10 seconds. it is only the middle ring that gets hot, the button and the outer ring both heat upa little from radiant heat but the middle ring gets so hot I'm afraid I'm going to burn myself.
edit: the cart is still functioning fine Ok so it was working fine but now it isn't, LL cart won't glow and oil is very wispy, when I first wrote this though it was working. Sounds like a bad switch to me, what do you guys think

Sounds to me like the switch body is loose in the ring? This will generate heat. Otherwise, the next to possibilities aren't so easy, it could be the ground connection (now sealed in epoxy) or the actual switch contact (likewise, replacement only at this point).
It may well correct itself again with temperature and other variables but unless you do something like tighten the switch back in the ring that won't likely last.

. Thanks to toros23, I picked it up in the classifieds here. I was dying for Ti, but couldn't afford it new. I also scored an extra SS EO cart as well. Needless to say I can't wait for her arival. I will let everyone know what I think.

The charger is cool from TET for the recommended batteries they found it worked best, as far as batteries for LL 2250 panasonic seem to be well liked (discontinued) TET carries the 2900's that also perform well, as long as you stick with the proven batteries you should be okay no matter if you get them from TET or a reputable reseller.
I am interested to know if anyone has used the new sony batteries (30amp) in the cera and how do they perform vs the panny's?

Also the the charger from TET can do most battery sizes except 18350's but it also has a car charger option thats pretty convenient for travel/Road trip's.
you might consider saving a nice chunk of change by asking for the cera body and cart without the ceramic two-piece mouth piece
($50 seperately ? I think..) and just use the plastic straw, perhaps, IF you plan on hooking it up with tubing to a waterpipe; best way to go so far ive found..

quite right, thats why i recommended using the plastic straw with tubing connected to a WATERPIPE !
btw, ENELOOP batteries are being made in D size now, inside the D battery are three eneloop AA cells (!)
SO-- evidently -- using the AA 's in parallel is OK... SO this means you can put a bunch of them together in parallel
and in series to get the ampsand volts you need to power the CERA..
make your own battery pack, dont order the CERA mouthpiece OR the switch for that matter, ( hec k -- just get the cart
for all I care!
) and save yourself a hundred and fifty bucks!Im gonna guess 12 AA eneloops should do it. Maybe you could get away with 9... use groupsvof three in series to make 3.6 to 3.9 volts , maybe a tad higher with freshly charged batts, Im also guess a couple tenths of a volt over the CERA
recommended 3.7 volts isnt going to hurt the cart.

Was having an inadequate tokathon with my cera/bubbler this morning, tried adding more and more amber to
the top of the well, but no improvement ;
SO I MEASURED THE VOLTAGE ! It was 3.3 volts ! So I put in a freshly charged batt. ! So then it worked
FINE ! I am gonna guess that 3.4 volts is the floor when it comes to gratifying oil vaping in the Cera . So, all you folks who worry, just get a voltmeter and check yer volts! peace!
Please correct me if I am wrong about 4.2 volts being OK for the Cera cart !..

4.2V is a full charge and will drop down from there very shortly. Any battery below 3.5V should be put in the charger. All the high end variable voltage chipsets (ProVari, DNA20, Kick, etc) have warnings display at 3.5v and shut off shortly thereafter to avoid discharge, even though that happens somewhere around 2.5V. With the Cera there is nothing like this so you have to gauge how much "trigger time" you've put on the battery so far. Keep 'em topped off and you'll always be good to go
