- great price- great batt id imagine as i have a stock standard 3.7v with my Vapor King Storm model which has been going very strong with freq heavy vaping for 37 days now - 4 months would be great!!
-my concern is which atomizer to pair with these batteries- JD has suggested a HH.357 which if JD recommends I BUY  but now comes into play different ohm ratings and multiple diffrent battery ranges 900 - 1000 - even 1300- that coupled with these ohm ratings has got me at a lose for when to begin :/ - im thinking a starter kit with a couple batts , attys , charger - add a HH atty and ive got myself a nice platform(VK pieces and all)
- id like to be able to mix-n-max different brands and pieces to completely maximize my customizable capabilities !!!! hahaha like most people i have a never ending itch to buy everything - up up up grade - enhance the experience!!! im ballz deep in vaping and i only wana go deeper.... Ive never fallen this hard for anything/anyone - love at first vape :ko: !!!!!

Those 9.99 bats at MadVapes are a great deal but read the fine print. Issues with center post mean they might not fire with some attys.

I think eGo/Riva or my fav.. the Brother batty (1,300 mah) are a fantastic way to get started. You can try a lot of different attys or cartomizers with them and more with some adapters even.

One thing is those LR attys should not be used with battys smaller than an eGo according to the experts... They just can't keep up with the power drain.

Also not sure how those Powerex's will work but curious to see how that goes. I know most ecigs use Lithium batts due to the high power drain we use with ecigs... Since the LB drains quick too I am curious to see how that works. I am just not sure if they will hold up.

I never tell folks to buy kits actually unless they really want everything in the kit. Most come with cartridges that are outdated, no one uses anymore...standard ohm attys which are like sucking air to me and no drip tips. I tell people to buy an Ego/Riva/Brother batty, a charger for it and atty/drip tips to get started. You can always add bits as you go to build your arsenal and they really help folks get started without being too overwhelmed.

1.5ohm are tough on eGo battys...actually all LR stuff is but 2.0ohm seems to be pretty stable and reliable..as well as still in that LR range. I use them myself.

Sidenote: Any of you crazy folks going to Vapercon?? Whee! I'm leaving Thurs. to head to VA for the festivities. Can't freaking wait!!

If you read the fine print it recommends that if you have one of those attys, you can use the V2 shorty adapter. The adapter is only $2
I bought 4 adapters .. and have 4 of the Batteries around to pass among friends(yes I have sets of attys also to go with all).
... So I guess the battery is actually $11.99 if you get an adapter also!
$11.99 is still worth it (4 months and going strong!)

Thanks For the advice Lo!! Love vaping nic liq over those nasty old school analogs  !!
I feel you on kits being assembled with out-dated merch needed to be sold but i have been pricing out a batt-atty-charger and a kit seems the way to go :/ the items included seem to have ideal specs . Im down to these 2 kits - im sure having an extra batt would be smart but im wondering if this Mega Riva is better than having dual brothers...

Mega Riva 1300mAh Electronic Cigarette Starter kit- 60$
- Kit Includes:
1 1300mAh Battery (510 thread)
2 510 2.3ohm Atomizers
1 Cone
10 Blank Cartridges
1 Wall charger
1 USB dongle charger
1 User Manual

Brother 1300mAh Dual Battery Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit- 75$
-Kit Includes:
Atomizer: 2pcs
Atomizer Cone:1pc
1300 mAh Manual Battery: 2pcs
Blank Cartridges: 10pcs
USB adapter:1pc
Wall charger:1pc
Instruction Manual: 1pc

Thanks for any further help!! Also these drip tips and high end attys seem complicated to maintain or operate - maybe its just the initial prep involved i dunno-

Just made my first e cig mod! It's only a prototype, so dont pay too much attention to things like size (had to use 5AA batteries so it's a little big!)

Never used an e cig before, but to work out the kinks I decided to use e cig juice and not hash oil like I'll use on my final version. It's pretty pleasant! I'm vaping at 6 volts with dual and triple coil cartomizers... These things can really deliver some clouds!

E-cig friends: My beloved FSUSA Thinn Mint juice has lost its title as king juice. Shocking isn't it?!?

There's a new awesome flavor(s) in the house. Great all day vape stuff.

http://www.rawrvapor.com/index.php/e-juice/drinks/tea.html

I highly highly recommend the Peach Green Tea with menthol added. Add "Cool" for light menthol and "Blizzard" for a bit extra menthol (my choice)

A friend got me hooked on this stuff yesterday. All it took was about an hour of vaping it for the Thinn Mint to go on the back burner. He gave me like 20ml of the peach tea menthol to hold me over until my order gets here. Ordered more peach tea menthol, berry tea menthol, raspberry tea menthol, and strapple (strawberry/apple) menthol. I normally vape 30mg but 18mg is fine for me with this stuff.

Try some. You wont be let down!

I've tried the their proper Green tea, and it was okay, not really what I was looking for. Maybe the other tea flavors would be too my liking(personally am now a big fan of tea). Now their Truth Serum(pear mix with a couple of other hard to figure out flavors) flavor on the other hand is pretty darn good(you now have me wanting to try that in a menthol). They also make a flavor antidote that I tried in store that was pretty good also.

Edit: Raging Bitch looks like a nice flavor to try out. lol

lol.. I actually tried Raging Bitch at Vapercon.. Not a huge coffee fan but it was pretty tasty. One friend who is a coffee juice lover enjoyed so much she bought a ton after tasting it.

;) I have only heard good things about Rawr and their table was quite popular.

Yeah, my local vapor shop pretty much now only carries them(along with a mix your own station), and I see why now.

I recently built a 5v battery boxmod. It hits great and I can't see going back to anything else. I vape JWH in my juice. The high voltage combined with a higher resistance cartomizer leaves me completely medicated. Its even better when used with a bong (the cartomizer in the downstem with an inch or so of space above the water).

I have parts for two more. Anyone interested in one?

I have been looking more and more into building a box mod, and 5V/3.7V seem to be the norm. Can anyone help me think of how I can make a 6v box mod? If I followed MadVapes design for a 5V box mod and just wired it without the resistors and all that using two 3V AA sized li-ion bats?

Also does anyone know how to make a simple usb passthrough?

errl, the madvapes mods are very easy, you just need to be careful oldering and of course, not be a total slob like me :) Wait, I am trying to sell two of them here...

I used a 510 connector. 5V is hitting very nicely. I also have a VV that I bought online, it fried one brand new durable clearomizer right off the bat. That was a nasty puff, but the straight 5v running the same type of clearomizer that was murdered by the VV hits amazingly.

Hm... I may take you up on that then! How much would you sell one for? And if I just left out the 5V regulator that came with it, would I be able to make that box a 6V one by using 2x 3V batteries?

I've heard the Triple coils work best at around 6V so that's what I'm trying to get to.

Does anyone know the exact thread size of an E9 (aka: 808D-2 or old LTv9) ?

After days of searching the net, all Ive found in reference is a forum thread that it is a 7.5mm x 0.75 pitch, but that is a measured guess apparently.

The reason I ask is because Ive found the Omicron to be a reversed E9. Meaning. The Omicron cartomizer (male thread) actually screws in perfectly to an E9 cartomizer (female thread) on my old smoke51 cartomizers I have laying around.

As well, Ive found an E9 to 510 connector at madvapes but had to email them for explanation of their image as it displays a female/female connector [which doesnt quite make sense since the 510 batt connector (7mm x 0.5 pitch) is a female and the E9 cartomizer (supposed 7.5mm x 0.75 pitch) is a female].

So I continue looking into this with hopes of adapting the Omicron cartomizer to the 510 vv device or ego device I already have rather than spend more money on what I still believe to be a higher than actual value Omicron battery (even with the recent price drop of their kits - but at least its starting to fall into affordability).

The only other concern I still have at this point is to confirm whether the Omicron works on a reverse polarity or not which may make all of this attempt mute.

Any insight on the thread size asked above ?

Thks in advance,
smokum

My "gut" instinct is to use the Omicron battery with the carts that come with it. The hybrid circuit disallows battery activation after the time that would damage the cart, and allows re engagement after the "safe time".
If you can not bring yourself to use the Omicron as it was meant to be used, perhaps one of the other less expensive units out there would serve you better.
Also.. there is the fact that you can send in ANY Ecig device that was made specifically for concentrates (no plain ecigs).. and you can send it to THC Scientific with 25 dollars, and get a single kit!
Sometimes "outsmarting" a designed system, or manufacturers protocol can become more costly in the end.
(Unless you just like to experiment, and have the money to "explore"... in the long run money is saved by not cutting corners)

I respectfully acknowledge your post Vitolo, as well as undertand your thoughts based on your happy use with the Omicron product as is.

I'll most likely end up purchasing a kit (rather than just the cartomizers like I have), even if just for the opportunity to enjoy a portable concentrates device as well as the chance to compare with once I can afford to layout the cash --- which is 'now' slightly more affordable than upon 1st release of the Omicron product.

I like to tinker..... and as such, I like to look at both viable alternatives along with possible use of shorter hits at a higher temperature (yes, experimenting), with something I already own.

Most standard 510 type ecig (ie: ego's et all), batteries have a cut-off (some 3, 5, and 7 second), and that's all fine and dandy, however, with a little common sense (and ecig experience - been doing it since '08), a cutoff is unnecessary and can be self based on taste/production of vapor with length of battery time activation.

I just want to 'PLAY' so to speak...... and see what I can come up with to work with options of heat choices to shorten inhales and the like. It also helps me fill my disabled painful days without dwelling on the negatives by occupying my mind.

Thanks smokum... very well expressed.
I like using Madvapes for my play parts, due to cost.
their adapters (the shorty adapters) are inexpensive, can be stacked, and some can be broken down also for fun and productive tinkering.
I will agree that an ecig enthusiast, or vaporist can understand "do not exceed 5 seconds of battery activation".
I use and build ecigs.. and I also vape all day every day........
Yet That battery "cut off flasher" still catches me on the Omicron
I think once that hash oil hits your brain, your finger gets stuck on the button!
