Just got my ego and waiting on some dual coil cartos plus some apple mint and pineapple express juice from FSUSA. Can't wait!

Just a heads up. You mat find the dual coil cartomizers a bit hot and harsh. The see thru refillable cartridges with an atty seem much smoother.

For users of the see through large capacity cartridges.
I replace my see throughs less often now. Actually I wondered why my wife's always wound up with kind of "sqwuished" polyfill, and mine never did.
Patty vapes RY5, a rich deep tobacco blend from FreedomSmokeUSA, while I use the FSUSA Coconut.
After testing for a long time, I realized that there were heavier elements in the darker colors that over time condensed a bit in the polyfill.
Without removing the polyfill, I began rinsing the cap itself... water aiming lightly into the polyfill, until the polyfill was white again. To my surprise the polyfill had "fattened" back up. I fluffed it a bit more with a toothpick, and set it down (polyfill up) on a napkin.. and I re-primed it until the water was absorbed into the napkin... and the cap was full of the blend, and I put the cartridge back together , and Patty was Vaping up a storm again!
There comes a time when you want to clean the vapor path, and that piece comes out also. Fact is I vape with that top "draw hole" popped off.
Photoon2011-09-17at1313.jpg

I feel I get better flavor (to each his own!).
There also comes a time when you don't want to maintain the cartridges, and will replace them.
Replacing them has become a less frequent ritual around here.

Read a review recently praising the Smartvapes Dripping Atty even going as far as saying it equals the .357 in vapor/hit and beats it in flavor. There are also some reviews saying they last 2 days and are shit. The good review had it going for 6 weeks. Two very opposite ends of the spectrum. 4 attys for $23 is worth a shot. I will report back with results.

They are only $5.37 a piece. 5 packs for like $22 I ordered 2 1.8 510's and 2 1.8 901's to try.

Here's the good review They apparently have a ceramic catch cup with a coil inside and thats it. The are also supposed to be juice guzzlers. If the flavor is as good as this dude makes it out to be, my juice is cheap enough that it will be worth it.

Hey, any ecig users out there willing to try an experiment?? I read that with smoktech dual coil 1.5 ohm carts you can vape straight hash oil... Can anyone out there verify this before I go out and spend money on something?

If it works I'm looking for a reliable place to get a cheap VV mod from. Do you think this will be helpful with the 1.5 ohm cart or will the 1.5 be enough? Also I have seen carts that are 1.25 ohm, would these potentially be even better for oils?

I have some of those dual coil cartos but dagnabbit I am not in an MMJ state so I have a hard time getting good oil. I have heard mixed results though. Works for some, others very frustrated with loss of their oil. It's hit or miss far as I can see so far so if I had some good oil I'd want to experiment but only would use what I could afford to lose.

Do you guys have recomendations of where to get an ecig and smoketech dual coil LR cartomizers as well as boge carts? Looking for a true 3.7V (maybe even a little higher if possible?) Or a VV mod that you guys recommend and won't be too expensive.

PS vitolo there is this guy CripSkillz that is posting all over the net that he is burning straight oil out of smoketech dual coils on a regular 3.7V battery. He posted it in an omicron thread on another website and the omicron guys got all defensive and started accusing him of stealing their design and all this garbage.

I'm kind of over these Omicron people. They have a cool product, but they seem to be pawning off essentially normal ecigs with a special threading and cartomizer for WAY over what others are selling their products for.

@Dberm - If you want to experiment I wouldn't get a fancy mod to do so unless you are looking to replace a cigarette habit as well.

An eGo/Riva/Brother style battery, charger would be sufficient...grab some cartos, maybe a drip tip as some people like them on their cartomizer instead of the cap. I like the Brother batteries myself but if you won't need long battery life a regular 650mah eGo battery would be fine. The eGo/Brother/Riva style batteries deliver regulated power. I personally tell people don't bother with kits if they don't need all the items in a kit. You can just grab the individual things you need.

Here's a few sites you can peek at that I know are reputable vendors:

http://www.avidvaper.com/

http://www.madvapes.com/

http://www.cignot.com/

Oh and SmokeTech is just a brand name. Boge is a brand name as well. I've tried dual coils from Avid Vaper, not sure what brand but they perform well. Got one of the new horizontal coil ones too that I haven't tried yet.

Yea I mainly want the variable voltage because I havent seen an ecig unit with it yet and I feel like this may be the key to unlocking the potential of an ecig.

If I got an eGo/riva now, would it be cheaper for me to get the "ego booster" VV attatchment thing or would I be better off spending the money on a real battery mod?

And I dont smoke actually, but I vaporize enough herb as is that I wouldnt mind having a nice unit if I knew it would work.

The Notcigs Infinity Pro just came out yesterday. It's one of the cheaper, good quality VV mods out there. I preordered one a week ago so it should be shipping today.

HEY EVERYONE!!

quick Q -

I have an Vapor King Storm series E-cigg and the T style Vapor King (latest models- liquid fill models - no fiber filling) Love them- great vape excellant batt life - quite combustion completely! ( pack a day smoker)

now after a solid month of vaping the atomizers have become almost impossible to draw thru!! now i use them very freq and keep them clean - use only quality nicotine E-liquids - but id thought they would last longer than a month! I mean a new atomizer is 15 bucks and at 10$ a pack for ciggs a day you cant beat that conversion ( along with being much healthier) so I not considering the switch back just maybe to a more expensive model?? is this common for these atomizers to shit the bed like this?? I found Vapor King to be a pretty quality product but it is also my first E-Cigg venture ( other brands look cheap )

also these THC liqs sounds very tempting!!

Love my E-cigg - love to vape- FUCK COMBUSTION!!!!

No atty should be more than $8 or 9$ tops (usually $5-$7) They can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks (even months on occasion) Now the HH.357 (that I use) run $22 a pop but last significantly longer than standard atty's. The taste and hit being better is just a bonus :p

hmmmm yea i havent been able to find any vapor king e-cigg goodies on amazon just from their home site and a local shop i know both 15$ unfortunalty.

interresting choice i was just on avidvaper.com and they have a great selection great prices also ( i see what your saying about price) I didnt see any starter kits that included that HH.357 atty - do you just have to piece it together al-a-cart?? ahaha im also wondering if these different attys and drip tips would be compatable with my Vapor King models - the connections look very similiar :/ i need to do some more research i guess with all these ohm ratings and such ive never dealt with. Love the idea of being able to mod my own E-Cigg to really customize my vaping experience!!!

+1 on the HH.357 - They really do rock! About 3 months on my first one :)

Atomizers are meant to be semi disposable and some last longer than others. If you clean them frequently sometimes you can make them last awhile but I used my attys for about 3-4 weeks before I'd swap out for a fresh one. The ones I used over a year never actually died (Cisco LR306 at 2.0 ohms) but they would get weak after about a month.

Many people also use cartomizers instead since they are so much cheaper and you can use one for a week or two and toss. I really prefer the flavor in an atomizer though.

Lately I'm using a homemade carto tank and I must say it is much different when the carto stays wet all the time. Performs very well and the cartos are like $1-2. I still prefer attys but cartos in tanks also work well.

Also nice that the Cisco spec attys don't have any nasty tasting primer fluid in them. That was always a bonus for me.

I have no idea about the threading on a VK....

If they wont fit on a VK think about getting a device that is 510 compatible because there is waay more options to choose from. I don't know what I did before variable voltage mods honestly. I'll never go back to anything with a set voltage!!

Hey e cig folks! Have you guys ever seen the switchless solderless copper mod? I'm about to build one as it seems like the easiest and cheapest way to get a good battery with the voltage I want.

Oh and I'll be using the same Powerex 2700's that my MFLB uses. 4x1.2 volts = 4.8 volts... Seems like the sweet spot for dual coil cartomizers!

WELL just got off the phone with Vapor King CS and was told that their atomizers should last 6 months - up to a year!!! wow really?? both mine have died within 1 month of freq usuage :uhoh: those are some high expectations!!!

Was told that defective merch could be exchanged up to 60 days from purchase - their own website and the brick-mortar i bought from both say 30 days from purchase ( i am 37 days past purchase). hmm well i was told to go to the store and they would exchange with no problems(after all Vapor King is the boss right?).... WE WILL SEE on my way now to store - will update

- also side note- they had no idea what size the thread was on the atty or the batt ends - so still no idea if they are HH.357 510 compatable ( mixed emotions on customer relations at this point- hopefully my exchange goes thru)

*** UPDATE ***
-well the store claimed that they buy from a wholesaler and are not affiliated with Vapor King dirrectly and therefor set their own warranty and return/exchange policies -
- was able to get 1 of the atomizers exchanged ( still in 30 day period) - and recieved an additional 30 day warranty on the replacement! ( prices were less than VK.com only 10 for an atty - better i guess-)
- also the employee confirmed that the thread on the atty and batt are indeed a 510 guage and should be compatable with some of those HH.357 ! Just ordered 1 looking to see how they compare!!

The 357 is a kinda advanced atty make sure you do your reading ( http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...l-avidvaper-com-hh-357-discussion-thread.html ) and youtube watching!! you dont wanna fuck up a 22 dollar atty!!

And what ohm did you get? Hope it was 1.5 because that's what you'll need (I'm assuming a VK is standard 3.7v)

Well im on avidvapor.com and was about to order my HH.357 but had a Q

i was looking at there starter kits and im confused again! Thought it would be a good idea to order some new equipment all together ( 510 thread will link with my VK pieces anyway)
- some imput would be great - was looking at the LEA 510
also - was liking the idea of the RIVA models with apparantly stronger batts- few different levels - although they state "Using these batteries with atomizers below 2 ohms is at the risk of the buyer therefore we cannot offer a warranty." which makes me hesistat with making my choice. would love to match a HH.357 with a fat bundle starter kit and mod from that point :D
but stronger batts are always more attractive MORE POWER !! hahaha

I'm about to make my own e-cig battery "mod" using direcions I found on some e-cig site. Seems super simple, the directions I'm going to follow are for a solderless switchless copper pipe mod, it's going to use 4 powerex 2700's for a combined voltage of 4.8V and a WHOPPING 10800mah.

I'm excited! Costs on this thing are only about $15 considering I already have the proper batteries and charger... Then once I get the hang of loading hash oil in here it'll be a real treat!
