You guys have me sold on the Lotus, and coming back to herb and hash. Wax is kicking my ass in price point, so it'd be nice to come back to the $10-20/G range.

How is maintenance with hash use? Is it a matter of more screens?

@BLAZING OG As a wax user, is this thing really so efficient that with herb you can get blasted? I mean, I've tried vaping herb again and it just doesn't cut it for me since dabbing. Is there something inherently different about the vape produced by the Lotus?

I blazed an eight in about 2 days, with the lotus I have made an eight last me 1 week maybe a bit more ( couldn't believe it myself) and a gram lasted me approx. 2 days (mind you thats including my wife's sessions). The lotus is not any thing different per say, but its true convection and at the high heat of the lighter it does not suffer trying to keep up to temp, its all adjusted by the end user. I used a bit more meds my first few days as my body adapted to vaping again, then after a few days of lotus vaping I started getting really medicated. Now coming from dabbing it will take some sessions to get your tolerance to settle in, dabbing is strong and concentrated, but once tolerance is at a normal level you will feel the increase in high ( at least for me). I take one to two bowls and each bowl can give me one fat ass hit if I like or I can get 3 tasty large clouds per bowl (not fully Loaded either). I like the fact that I can cook my material real dark if I want , I like high heat extraction from vapes, and the lotus delivers that to me.
I havent tried hash but it should work superbly, You can double up on screens if you like or use a tiny bed of herb to minimize the mess (if any), its so easy to clean and the screen can just be lightered clean every so often.
I tried vaping the hash like remains collecting in the lotus WPA , and it looked and almost vaped like hash, worked great no mess, full melt might be a bit of a different story but like you said a couple extra screens and your good as gold .

Solid advice, thanks man. I'm already looking at J-hooks, although my oil rig might already suffice.

Wish there was a tolerance reset pill or something...

I hear that on the tolerance , trust me lol lol
I hope you find it helpful and or useful, J-hook will make it more portable , my Direct Inject oil rig with a female to female adapter works great with the WPA & lotus.

Been lurking this thread for a few weeks now, The Lotus looks great! What's the cheapest option for buying one for someone up here in Canada?

Edit: not being a cheapskate just that any sites I've seen have a hefty shipping charge :(

Just got back to my parents house for thanksgiving, found my old G coil laying around and thought I'd give it a try with the lotus!

Also, thinking about getting an al stem to replace my j hook that broke, can anyone compare the longer vs shorter stem?

Holy cow, I just went on like 10 different Canadian online headshops, no Lotus. The business opportunities if I was in Canada.... :o

Actually, it's kind of hard to find the Lotus on US online headshops too.

Massdrop.com will have a sale for the Lotus in January. You have the patience to see what price comes from this? Massdrop seems to average around 25-40% off. But, the company is in US, and you would probably have to pay $10 in shipping. We also don't know if J-hooks or WPAs would be available (I don't think so, probably just alum stem).

Yeah, I think I may just order it directly from them and eat the $20 shipping. I'm waiting for my first purchase through massdrop now, it's taking forever so 'm not sure I'll be back there again.

About J-hooks: check on the j-hook thread the direct link is there (in my post). I'm also considering to buy a j-hook but didn't decide yet. I imagine also some other more "regular" pipe similar to the one 'blazin og' has .I Would prefer the look of it and easier to carry around also. But for sure I can't wait to have a j-hook sherlock style!

I tried both pressed kief and hash in it and works great! A bed of abv on ground bud is fine for sure but I just tried a bit of dry hash alone on top of another screen and it's perfect!

form factor of my make shift Lotus pipe is great for stealth and fits nice in pocket. the j hook I would assume hits much better, my pipe has a smaller hole for the vapor to travel thru making it hit a little bit tight, but still works great.
