dont get me wrong ive spilled a spent load or 2 removing the stem, but for the most part its pretty easy. try to twist it out.

This one's easy, don't pull it that way.......
You need more control. Instead grab it up close 'monkey fist' style (all fingers, no thumb). Then, pressing your thumb tip onto the top of the cap nxet to the stem hole push against the top to slide the Solo up and off the stem. Don't pull on anything. It's easy to stop part way off then gently ease the last bit off with no drama.
Pulling it normally uses lots of muscles (your entire upper body for the most part), 'overshooting' when it lets go is gonna happen, the fix is to not use muscles with such range of motion.

Yes, but you're a proud member of the only species that has an opposeable thumb. Two usually. That is one you can work against a finger or fingers (same hand). Other Primate's hands have the thumbs too far back for this to happen. They can't touch finger tip to thumb tip. Weak grip. This is also the source of the term 'monkey wrench' one with an open side.
This feature along with use of fire, written language and a workable religion (never too sure how that one is determined......) are the four characteristics that set man apart from the other animals (for those taking notes). The list used to include 'use of tools', but then we found out Darwin's Finches use thorns so that one had to go. Since then we've also found California Sea Otters use a rock to open mussels (they float on their backs in the kelp with the rock on their chests and hammer them open with both hands (using a 'monkey grip'......). Fun part is it turns out they use the same rock! Or so the Behaviorists report. Next time you're on the central California coast you should check them out.....fun guys to watch.
'Monkey fist' should not be confused with 'monkey's fist', which is the round knot on the end of a throwing line that has a weight inside........

Hi there,
just got my solo along with a wpa-adapter two days ago. Had much fun using it so far. Yesterday i decided to give the wpa adapter a go. Before that i used my LSV with the wpa adapter in the same setup.
I noticed that the solo wpa adapter has an extra hole in the same way the special extra flow wand for the solo has. I noticed that, while there was a good air flow in general i failed to produce a decent cloud of vapor.
But when i close this hole (in the solo-wpa-adapter) with my hand, you get more resistance but also a lot more vapor. But its kind of annoying because the wpa adapter will get hot after some rips and then it gets uncomfortable.
Maybe someone with more experience on the solo-wpa adapter can give me some hints. How do you guys handle this? Or did i maybe receive a wpa adapter with a to-big hole?

Hmm i was only able to choose between 14 and 18mm where i ordered (http://verdampftnochmal.de/products...r-extreme-parts/arizer-solo-gong-adapter.html). I will ask them if there is another version. I could probably also close the hole if needed, i just wanted to ask how you guys handle this.

Well I was. It was in text books a mere half century ago......
In a fun way you want to use the grip being demonstrated by the hairy gentleman in the above web page (holding with finger power alone). Notice he's also 'crabbing our action' and using a tool to get lunch? IIRC that was recognized early on but dismissed by the guys that make up lists as 'opportunistic' use of a stick, not really a tool you know...... Then they showed the Finches went out to harvest thorns. Not too long after someone pointed out that the Otters were using the same stone (usually) proving it too wasn't random opportunity. Now of course we have dozens of such subtle cases I guess. Things change, or our understanding does......sometimes I get the memo, others not? IMO if it's really important, they'll call back?
From those humble beginnings we've advanced the art of tool making and use to the Solo.....finally. It's been a long haul from the primeval mud pits to ordering your Solo on Al Gore's internet and paying with make believe money, but ladies and gentlemen, we made it! I suggest we all, in our own private ways hold an herbal celebration in this, our season of Thanksgiving..........
Anyway, the idea stands. Don't use your shoulder muscles to pull the stem, use your hand muscles to push it out with your thumb. Yes, I know the hand muscles are in the forearm......
