the stock lighter is of surprisingly high quality. it looks cheap but really isn't too bad. i ordered a heavy, metal, more "high end" looking lighter with my lotus too, but i'm only using the one that came with the lotus... works better turned upside down than the one i bought extra ;)

so for the beginning i'd say go with the stock lighter and then see whether you feel the need for a different one...

I agree that the cheap Honest lighters that come with it work fine with the Lotus, though I have my doubts about their long term durability.

I unintentionally ordered an extra one when I placed my order with the vapor store and was kind of glad I did because one of them failed. They're quasi-disposable/ cheap enough that I didn't figure it was a big enough of a deal to try to get a replacement from the seller.

good call on the back up lighter! should get me one or two too...



especially as the lotus is treating me so good :D i'm getting better at using it ;) the abv now is even and nicely toasted most of the times... and the ritual of using it is VERY satisfying! a perfect blend of classic, archaic and modern design - it's pretty!

thanks max for creating the lotus :)

I used a double torch till my single honest torch arrives, but so far I have had lotus maybe a week to a week and a half, and I have only refilled my double twice, the single I feel will be eve more efficient.
I used up a good amount of a single fill the first time learning the lotus , now that I have my technique down , I used way less. I heat 3-4 seconds with double torch start to see light red, then I let go of lighter, I spin my lotus cap a few rotations (Habit of mine) , then heat again 2-3 more seconds and I get huge tasty clouds. Check on my abv and its still light green.brown. I got some okay herb and the videos I made were showing pretty large clouds, well Now I got more potent Buds (Private reserve) and Iam blowing bigger clouds with less material (More THC in these buds vs my last batch) & getting 2-3 hits rather than killing one bowl in one hit.

oh and I use the lighte for at least 8-10 sessions a day 4-5 sessions for me and 4-5 sessions for my wife, and my double torch last a few days give or take how much you use it and how hight the flame is.

The reason I was curious is this would be my on the go vape (obviously). If I had to do multiple bowls because I was vaping with other people, I'd just want confidence that the butane would last for 4-6 bowls.

From the sounds of it, it will. Plus if it ever became THAT much of an issue, I'd just get a second lighter.

Butane consumption is the least of my concerns when I'm vaping. It really is a non-issue and short of losing a lighter, I can't see it ever even slowing me down.

Make sure you chill your lighter in your freezer for a few minutes before filling as it will fill closer to the very top cold than if it is room temp.

I asked for green in the comments at check out, but they sent me brown, no matter really, just don't expect to get the color you want if you order this one. I just got it today, I like how the tank fits in the palm, the larger reservoir is nice too, for less frequent refill. Seems about the same as all my other Honest torches otherwise. I'm still loving my Lotus, use it on one of my glass HI stems mostly, since it fits perfectly.

:brow: 4:20 time to test the new lighter out....

So glad to see all this lotus love spreading! :D

I have been puffing the lotus almost exclusively through the WA lately and the j-hook and have settled to an extremely satisfying routine while doing so! :smug:
The al stem is always ready in it's ryot pouch for out of the house vaping. J-hook on the coffee table and pouch by the doorway. Just grab the vapor cap and go! :nod: I did some fast WC sessions while out of house for the weekend, at coffee shops and bus stations and I found this procedure to be much more efficient from a stealth point of view than with vapes like the MFLB or the INH and vaping in public. I just grabbed my pouch, went for a pee and 2-3 mins later I was back out and ready for the fun effects! I am being amazed at how good this vape is every fucking day! And I am also finding myself just holding it in the j-hook after a session and looking at it from every viewing angle possible just admiring the simplicity and the beauty of the design. Never had such a strong bond with a tool/machine/device... It's magic! :p And after a few months it still looks brand new! :love:

if the butane ran out over the course of 5 bowls you'd REALLY have to be doing something wrong haha. I refill my torch at the beginning of the day and even if I'm blazing all day it really doesn't run out

Yeah, i have the same can of butane for 6months and the vaponic uses a lot more butane than the Lotus.

I like using a lighter because i can do plenty of sessions and it's no problem. I don't even take more than my lighter and my vaponic when i'm out of the house for the weekend. If i had my Solo, one battery charge would last one night only.

To me this is the biggest advantage of flame based units, EXCELENT autonomy.

pretty hard to combust , though with the double flame lighter I have done it 2-3 times, now that Iam back to my single torch and got my technique down not once.

@natural farmer , so far, no vape I have had or used can beat the lotus in how quick I can get a few good rips on, my sessions with the lotus are as fast if not maybe a 10 seconds longer than my old combusting routine. I love it, like I mentioned before your not waiting 1 1/2 minutes to let anything warm up, lotus is almost instant.
I just cant get over how useful being able to medicate in minutes vs half hour is:2c::bowdown:

And while it can medicate so fast and with no prior set up, it has also proved to be the best sipper for me, better than the MFLB... You can stretch a couple of bowls throughout a whole movie and take small but very satisfying hits (unlike the box's whispy ones) while the load stays intact between them!

For me, the Lotus is everything the MFLB could be but is not due to it's power source limitations. Let me do a list of pros for the Lotus, magic-flight marketing style, borrowing from their claims... I always wanted to do that and this morning looks sweet! :p
