Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

Could you please explain that. i read your pm, but don't understand that method. Is it different that using both screens for herb?
From the Cloud/Cloud+, I never got a 2-cap hit that would be equal to enail hit.(Or even torch and nail)
Is the Evo working that differently for concentrates?

@PhotoRider---Take one whole ELB(top and bottom put together), load concentrate on top of the ELB in the cap, then put another ELB top cap on top of that.
@PhotoRider, watch this video I made.

@Silver420Surfer, yes, so much different! The EVO has a much higher max temp, that should only be used for concentrates. Dabs, in one pull, vape away completely in the MiniELB, TwoCap, or even a regular ELB.

I'm pissed I didn't do a pre-sale, but I think, oh I have one, take some meds and its all good again.

Lets see my d-nail on my oil rig, and the EVO on my herb rig. A marriage made in heaven, doesn't that mean until death do you part???
OH NO YOU DON'T! :uhoh:
Why not 2-cap method with some nice oil?
@stonemonkey55 - he only has the one elb i loaned him in case of success

@PhotoRider - come on by and i'll show ya ;)
a plan. guess I must return the pet to its owner. it was fun while it lasted.
  Excellent team-work by Loblaw and the Monkey! Talk about all inclusive customer service...taking personal time to wrangle lost EVO's back to their rightful owners...in a very subliminal way! :brow:

On another note...I continue to be blown away day by day with this thing. The way it feels, so light in the hand...how cool the bottom of the unit stays! I am really amazed by the heatup/cool down times as well! All in all, I couldn't ask for more...but I'm sure they'll find something else, and send it our way when it's perfected!

Edit*** @SlinginPaint The ELB cap is slightly different than the EQ screen. See these posts of mine, and others, to get yourself squared away...you may have outdone the loblaw monkey combo and found a way to keep the EVO!

MiniELB link (click me) (an EQ elbow screen and a ELB cap required to make...you have both;))
Cant embed this file type here, but here is a vid I just made:

http://s43.photobucket.com/user/SpoolFedEF/media/VIDEO0002_zpsb9ff0f4d.mp4.html
@SlinginPaint did a way better job at both making his video, and his MiniELB  His finished product looks nearly identical to the one I've been using over the past 7 months or so (after working mine a bit...I'm sure you can get it just right like he did without much trouble, especially with a sharpie!)

Wow - just WOW man!! Wall of text to follow - excited first timer...

So I have never used a vaporizer prior to last night. I had a whirlwind of a night, and I have to admit it was really tough to get anything done based on excitement levels peaking when I saw that USPS was out for delivery. USPS because I am the guy who was able to snag the Early Bird that was in the classifieds (I explained the VXH that I was canceling my preorder due to this, not to any lack of desire to have the unit - thankfully they understood...)

So I arrive home - all sorts of excited. Most days, my son is out and about with his grandpa, so I thought my arrival home would be a relaxed unboxing. As I pulled in the driveway, my boy and his grandparents were running around the yard. Not an issue for me; postpone... I peeked around for the package regardless, thinking, once located, I will put it up in the bedroom and just have it patiently waiting for me.

No package. Huh? Check the tracking info again, see that a notice was left. Roll out to the mailbox, sure enough, notice. Call the Post Office, sure enough (again!) they have it, signature required. I tell them I am on my way. Guy says to slow it down, they closed at 5. NOOOOO! It is 5:02pm - seriously, 17:02! I plead. I tell him tha thtis is a pretty big deal to me, and could I please get there in <5min to have him make na exception to let me pick it up. He agrees.

Speed to the Post Office. The guy who can see me through the window simply taps his watch and tells me to go away with hand motions. Despair sets in. I wave my arms, show my phone and try to mouth that I just spoke to Reggie, that he told me I could come by. The guy gives up on lip reading (have you ever mouthed the words "I just want to vaccum right now" to your SO? Try it - best if you're on the other side of glass and actually say it, but I digress), comes to the dor annoyed and says, "What are you trying to do man?" I explain that Reggie told me he'd make an exception. He says no way, then I hear Reggie say, "nah, nah man, he called, it's cool..." GOD LOVE YOU REGGIE!

Package in hand, get home, now all 4 grandparents are chillin. No relaxed unboxing for me. Not now anyway...

So I busy myself with things around the house. Wire up a pair of dimmers, then we make some plans to go out and have a bite to eat together. Now it's 6:30. 7:00 before we get out of the house. Food comes, we eat, the game starts (big [shamed] Redskins fan here), I'm distracted...

We get home late. My son gets his bath and is usually in bed at 9:00. We get home at 9:10. Turbo bath. Wife gets home. We get the boy in bed and NOW it is time to cut the tape on the box. All this time and I actually had the discipline to leave the box completely unmolested.

Upon opening, I think I might have had an erection. As I unwrapped each piece, I just reveled in how it is exactly as glorious as I had pictured. The HT is a site to behold. The heater is really nice looking. It is as light as everyone has said. This is really cool. Next, I grabbed some product and ground it up - pretty damn dry my stuff was, but we pressed forward. I got the ELB filled to ~1/3, capped it and turned my gaze to the red light and it went green. I then turned my attention to the HT and realized that I have NO IDEA as to the right way to fill it. I presume you fill from the top, but I am new to scientific glass. I have been seeing the terms perc, turbine and others, but having never been exposed, I was kind of off base as to what I expected the turbine to be and do. A close inspection seemed to fix all of that...

So I decide, definitely fill from the top. But how do I get rez-block in the water? Do I need to put the water in a container, mix it then pour in? I'll just fill from the sink for now. The tube doesn't fit in the sink. Here's my water glass... Great, spilling everywhere. PUT DOWN THE EXCITEMENT and clear your head man! Went and got a measuring cup, filled it with water, poured a little in and then I realized that I have NO IDEA how much water should go in here... I filled it WAY too high, tried a pull on it at the sink (heater in the other room, no worries...) and it might as well have been a straw there was so much drinking going on.

That was what I needed to know - that I did not know. So I came on here and spent what felt like an eternity going through all the EVO threads I have been watching, looking for pictures or videos showing water levels. I searched for what felt like ages. The Redskins are getting STOMPED by this point. I notice my inbox has a new message. @toros23 has responded to the message I sent him telling him the package has arrived safe and sound. THANK GOD! I message back with the water level question and get a response in no time, with a bunch of other great, first timer info.

I'm in business. The unit is hot (did not stray from 12 o'clock last night), the ELB is ready, the water is in the tube. Let's do this... So I now know just how careful I can be with something. I mean any of you watching would have thought that this thing, each and every piece, was made of egg shells. The ELB is SNUG man.. get it in there, HT on top, pull. AMAZING flavor is the first thing that hits me. It strikes me that I have been smoking this same stuff on and off along with a few other flavors, but nothing has ever come anywhere close to sharing the actual flavor of flowers as this taste... got 3 nice pulls and relaxed. Man, I felt it. MAN, I FELT it! It was a more sparkly effect that a lighter has ever given me of any strain. I was laughing out loud at television. My wife was laughing at me. I was really, really impressed.

So I go again. This time, more of the same, but the creep seems to speed up. Next thing I know I am on cloud 9, really feeling great. One last load about 30 min later and I honestly do not recal drifting off to sleep.

To say that I am happy with this purcahse is a vast understatement.

I do, however, have things that I need to figure out - if some of you guys wouldn't mind pointing me to some of this info, I would apreciate it greatly. I can do the legwork, but any assistance comes appreciated...

I need to learn how to cause the ELB's to fit a little less snug - is this what is meant by training them?
To that point, how snug should it be?
I need to learn how I empty the water out to clean - just pouring out the top seems to leave a lot in the corners...
I need to learn just how dry my flowers can actually be (living in a non-med state, I have to get it when I can and tend to buy enough to last a while. I need to keep it a touch more moist I think, but no combustion last night) - humidor discs? Orange peel? (I'm old... old enough anyway)

People to thank (in no particular order)(so far, I'm sure) for my understanding up to this point:

And now... I understand what all you guys are so damn excited about! AMAZING!

After a week with my Evo, I’ve decided to attempt a review. Having read many reviews of the original Clouds, my expectations were very high. Coming from using my Solo, I had two main hopes for the Evo that would make this vape worth it for me – efficient extraction and faster sessions. For me, any other improvements to my experience over the Solo would be great bonuses.

I have found during the day that 12 is the right setting for me. Before bed I will move it up to 1-2, but otherwise I stick to 12. This is in contrast to the fact that I always needed to use the Solo on 7 to be able to get the relief that I need. That is one of the things I find impressive about the Evo, that I am able to get complete relief even at lower temps.

As for efficiency, I find that I am able to use it a way that is slightly more efficient than my Solo use. I am able to use the same amount or less than I was in a Solo stem (~.1-.15) and get the same, if not more, effect.

While flavour is not of high importance to me, the flavour coming from the Evo is great. Its obviously much better than the Solo on 7, but it is just as good on the first couple of hits as the Solo on lower temps.

One thing that I have found to be important to my sessions is warm up time. I use the Evo on a WeMo, but only starting up for each session. I usually try to give about 10 minutes of warm up before starting. This helps me speed up my session times because I am able to start up the Evo and then continue doing what I need to. Once the Evo is warmed up, sessions are quick. Letting the Evo have time to warm up makes a big difference in the vapour that is produced. If I don’t give my Evo time to warm up, then the amount of vapour produced is much lower and the abv is much lighter. It seems to be the equivalent of hitting at a lower setting.

My only minor nitpick would be the ease that I can turn the dial. Once, I found that I had accidentally changed the temp setting after using it on a bubbler. Its not a big deal, especially since I haven’t done it again since being aware of it. But others klutzes like me might want to be aware of the possibility of increasing the temperature unintentionally. I guess the other downside to having my Evo now is the survivor's guilt I have when seeing the Evo Anticipation thread. But that is just a burden I will have to bear.

Overall, I would definitely say that the Evo is an excellent vape. It does a great job of quick and efficient extraction. I don’t ever really use concentrates, so I will leave those reviews up to others. The great flavour and ease of use are two great bonuses for me in using this machine. Thanks to VXL for making a great device that improves my medicating experience.

Just a quick tip for people that don't want to wait for the warm up period is to turn the machine on to max temp and wait for the light to turn green. Once the light turns green, turn the knob to your preferred temperature and wait for the light to go green. Much like the older Cloud, the EVO has LOTS of insulation and thermal mass to collect heat and this is the fastest way to get the unit to that heat equilibrium. One warning though, be sure to watch the light turn green because if you leave it on maximum setting for too long after the light turns green, your risk for combustion increases quite a bit.

Great Scott!
So is everyone in agreement that the evo gets significantly hotter than the cloud+ did? If not I'm going to have to sell my evo when it shows up. The cloud+ I bought from my friend doesn't get hot enough for me to treat my medical needs easily. Really hoping the evo is hotter. I've had limited time to try out the evo in person since I don't have mine yet.

Are all of your ELBs super tight or just a few? The ELBs start stiff and with time begin to soften but someone else posted a picture of how they trained their ELB. I'll try and find it when I have some time but it is essentially putting your ELB into a male ground glass joint when it is not in use (if anyone has that link, please feel free to jump in)

As for the water, to get rid of all of it, just blow through the bottom to get excess water out, that's how I do it.

The last question I will leave to the experts to answer.

@darkrom - yes, it gets significantly hotter

Both of the ELB's :) Last night was my first time, so I only have the two. I ordered an additional set today so I have a few around. If you, or someone does happen to locate that video, I will watch the hell out of it... And I appreciate the response. I am loving the process of learning this stuff.

The simplicity of this astounds me. And it lightly shames me that I did not come up with it on my own. I thank you SM, for both of these bits. I am honored to be a part of your customer list. (you don't really have a list do you? you know us all, like Santa... right?)

Thanks SM! I appreciate the response. I love my cloud, but the cloud+ didn't quite do it for me temp wise. Making me want my evo even more!

Son of a bitch, shit. So I threw a dab in the Extreme Q screen, threw in the 2nd screen, cranked up the heat. Green light, threw in one of my pipes and whoa. Two huge hits, huge cloud.

Bob, save yourself so time, I'm not home now. Gone until further notice.

Got to pawn something and buy one of these EVO's. The more I use it the madder I get for not doing the pre-sale. Got to do another before Bob reads this.

Next herb and vape, I know the temp may be high for herbs but what the heck, worth a shot. Bubble hash, oh the possibilities...

@stonemonkey55 . . . that was me . . . I trained my ELBs like you said, using a vapor hose adapter, and then made my EZLoader by attaching a piece of tubing and a mouthpiece. Vacuuming meds into the ELB is the way to go for me . . . :)
