Also wanna hear the best way to clean the bamboo. I had some plant matter fall in there and they are not willingly blowing out.

as for the bowls, I iso soak em and rinse in hot water. then 10 min in the toaster oven on a low temp to dry off.

the elb's get dirty fast! i'd say 3-5 bowls per elb and I notice restriction and want em cleaned.

btw i combusted twice this morning. once a full temp! lol oops. of course it did! and then again at 2. not sure what happened exactly on that one, but i found the bottom part of the elb's herb was where the burning started. cleaned my glass 3x in 2 days! yikes :p haha

I found that the unit is so good at extracting that once you really dry out the meds, the risk of combusting increases even if you use temps that normally don't combust. I'm taking about 2, maybe 3 rips most at the noon position these days and dumping if I'm in a rush but typically I'll back down to 10 ish and take 4-6 rips for tasty flavor/potency

To add to that, I noticed if you use a 12% Full ELB on 9-930 you can get 4-6 nice hits, with wispy yet visible vapor, and the taste is offff the charts.

I backed wayyy down since I first used the EVO. I never go past noon and love the lower numbers. I feel like its treating me good and I dont need that heavy dense vapor to fool me into thinking its smoke, because its doing the job! That taste is unreal and I find that I constantly talk to it like Damn, you too good. lmao

Thanks for the posting of those concerns regarding the air duster. I wasn't thinking about the freon/cold thing, it will still work well but like when using it with cameras/lenses you've got to be careful.

And I hadn't even considered the bittering agent, is that also from the freon?

Anyways, here's the low-tech sustainable version.

I have noticed this thing extracts very well also. noon position is my fave temp to go at.

I have been enjoying my sublimator since I got it back in the summer. but I noticed that my herb useage had really gone up. with the sub, I can hit my bowl 3x and then i find no point. the vapor from the sub after that is not worth it anymore. and to turn the temp up takes too long to notice the difference.
The sub gives me thick and tasty rips, and the abv comes out golden brownish.

With the evo, my herbs come out significantly darker. and I must say I am feeling those effects. I assumed the sub had destroyed my tolerance because of amount of herb I was going through. but this high I am getting from the evo is profound. a little too much even. I've had to put it away because I found myself over doing it a little. I think the evo is extracting the herbs more fully than I am doing with my routine with the sub.

Don't get me wrong. I still really like my sub too. but for now the evo is the one I'll be doing most of my "testing" with :)

I've always used the standard elb regardless of what I'm hitting. Herb tends to suck up into the cap but concentrates stay on the bottom which is good because that's closer to the heat.

Same first impressions as above. Glad my Cloud+ trained ELBs fit nicely.

IMO I really recommend mini ELBs. You don't even need to ruin your ELB caps to do it.
One hitter the size of a Solo stem, going from 8, 10, 12, 3, MAX.
Never combusted. Notice I vape in cold room. Chilly :(

It's the first time I experience full extraction of materials IMO.
ABV is totally dry and brittle. Like really dry toast tobacco. Never felt an ABV before crumble so dry in my fingers before :)

While this is highly subjective, I'd venture to guess that the EVO would suit you well, as long as the expense is not unreasonable to you for just limited use. [...] Re the glass, you want maximum diffusion with least amount of pull required. The showercap is for flavor and has the least diffusion. The circ and tree are pretty similar as far as diffusion, for me (and I've heard others say, too) the circ pulls the easiest
Thanks for the advice. I went ahead and ordered the Evo with the Circ glass. It's kinda expensive, but compared to how much I was spending before on psych visits and drugs? That didn't even fucking work? $670 is nothing. :) Anyway, I'm sure that if I decide it's not for me, or not worth it, someone will be willing to take it off my hands.

Stonemonkey55, when I added it to my cart it showed a message about how I was pre-ordering and would get $50 off. I thought that ended a while ago? If you wanna give me $50 off, that's great, but if the pre-order period is over, you might wanna fix the website. :)

First impressions of my Early Bird Cloud EVO + hydratube are very good. The heater unit is quite a bit lighter than I expected. I almost knocked it over a couple of times. The plastic is a little bit cheapy looking and feeling. It does not give the impression of a $500+ device, but I guess much of what you pay for is the glass. This is purely cosmetic though. The unit works great.

I like the ELB loading system. It's very clean and simple. You can pretty much throw away your picks and other tools. You won't need them. Just load your herb, vape it, and dump the toasted crumbs. If you turn it past 12:00 you can reduce your bud to a brown ash. I was afraid the 18mm glass joint would get too hot but I found that I can insert or remove the ELB even when the unit is very hot.

I can get hits even with very little material loaded but since the unit allows almost unrestricted airflow, you get a lot of air mixed in with the vapor i.e. the hits are not dense unless you pack the ELB more. You have to self-regulate your air flow. My Cloud makes a sort of whistling noise that I don't like, if I draw hard, so that helps keep me from pulling hard.

The hydratube is fairly big and made of heavy glass. In contrast to the EVO, the hydratube is more substantial than I expected. I'm not used to big glass. Compared to my little bubbler I've been using this thing feels huge. It is so big in fact that I've been a little intimidated to use it. I have a cyclone bowl around and some other 18mm and hose fittings and what-not. I experimented and put together a little whip-vape setup and a direct-draw.

The electronics of the unit are pretty transparent. It just seems to work. I can't verify if the perpetu-heat system really offers an advantage, but I can say that after a few hits the the abv is nice and toasty all around. No stirring really required, although I did anyway out of habit.

There is not much more to say. It works and works well. Everyone at VapeXhale did a good job.

I have a theory about this. There is only so much active THC on your herb regardless of which vape you use. The cloud is designed to cause turbulence in your herb in the ELB though bamboo restrictions which exposes more surface area to consistent hot air. The sub does not appear to have this type of turbulence and there is more metal exposure for some conductive heat transfer. I speculate the properties of metal (specifically heat transfer) is why there is a lot of sublimate that builds up. The vapor from the sub is depositing onto the metal a lot more than the vapor from the cloud depositing on glass. This is my theory as to why the Sub gets so much sublimate and why you might be going through herb faster. With the cloud you are breathing it in but with the sub you are depositing more of it on the metal.

It is just a theory based on some research.

I believed in the "herbulence" in the OG Cloud - caused by the top restriction. But the new EVO bamboo - I just don't get how this one works. I've read here somewhere these restrictions are in the bottom of the unit. There was a reason they were on top in the OG - they made up these series of glass heat exchanging chambers which also were triple-mixing the air while heating it. I thought they were moved bit down to eliminate baked resin ring, to make it less likely to break (a restriction on the top is seriously a weak spot, it always broke exactly there) and maybe more reasons. But if they are really in the bottom, it confuses me, why? The heater is on top, right? :hmm:

Also what confuses me is the argument "The EVO extracts so well it even combusts on sub-combustion temps". I was under impression this was a phenomenon occuring on crappy vapes with incosistent temps. Where even on low setting there was a small herb area that got on ignition temp. You mean the EVO brings completely new phenomenon that it is so good it combust even when there is no temp inconsistency and its below ignition?

I say this because my OG Cloud definitely didn't behave like that. It could reach super uniform temps almost scorching every square milimeter of herbs evenly in one instant hit. Yet it would never combust even if I hit it several more times. That was the sign of ultra-high-quality temp control of the Cloud.

Simple answer is that science/physics showed greater air extraction when moving them further away. As for the theory that the constriction are the weak point, it is actually the opposite and they did not "almost always" break there. More often than not, it was joint lock and the glass would break at non-constrictive points.

Paid a bit more than that, making the Evo a $900 vape after it's all said and done.:o


Anyone know if that's how they're doing it for warranty upgrades for failed Cloud+'s?:shrug:

Very cool! It makes sense that, since the restrictions cause turbulence, moving them farther away allows more space for the turbulent air to tumble and mix and become a more even temperature. :science:

In that respect I think the cloud/evo is possibly in a class of it's own, what other vaporizer has such a long heater of uniform temperature?

I know this is quite subjective but the truth of the matter is that our enclosure is made of Vectra, one of the highest quality, most heat resistance plastics on the market. While we understand that the lightness of the material could make it feel less than substantial, we really wanted to reduce the weight of the unit so that there is less stress on the glass when it is in an inverted position.
