Sorry about that wont happen again, I tried to deleted one of them but could see how to on my phone

Just tried again with the foil ball and its still cutting out, do you think that could be the core then, ill get on to them tomorrow, are they generally helpful at TeT?

Ahh, but it did happen again, in the very next post.

You can't delete posts. You can edit them for a limited time after you post them, after that you need to ask a moderator for help. When you make a double post and realize it, you should edit the second post, copy the text, and replace it with "Delete me" or something similar. Edit the first post and past in the text you copied from the second post. You can use the Report button at the bottom of the post to notify the moderators, but that's not mandatory.

For the record, we almost never give anyone a warning point for back-to-back posts. I think it happened once, when a member was warned repeatedly and still kept making them. Don't be that guy.

Jesus im scared to post now, is replying like this okay? I clearly need to go and read some forum rules. Sorry not trying to be a #$@&. New to forums thats my excuse.

Hmm don't quite understand what I did wrong, never felt as stupid as now haha tell you's what, ill just stop posting until I understand, im not usually this stupid I swear.
I'd be very surprised if it's not. First rate folks at TV, they'll take care of you. Good troubleshooting, sorry it was necessary.

That's what we like to do, terrify the new guys.....then we hit you for protection......

It's pretty easy to deal with (and I'm a big offender here....), if you've posted to the thread in the last little bit (one hour??) you (and you alone) will see an "Edit" key in the lower left of that message. Between the time stamp and "Report". When you time out, it disappears.

If you click on that key, an editor opens up and you can add, delete and so on and finally save. If you want to respond to another message (add it to the prior one), first hit "reply" on that message, cut it out of the editor at the bottom then paste it into the pop up editor on the first message. This moves all the 'tags' so the quote appears right and in it's box.

One more useful feature is at the lower right, "More Options...." this allows you to preview stuff.

Welcome to the fun, good folks, good information......great vape. I hope you get yours up and running quickly, it's a powerful machine for good.

i get the feeling this is going to be wrong??? glad to know TET are good to deal with, thanks for you tutorial, hopefully i understood it, if not im a lost cause

No, that was exactly right. I wasn't trying to scare you, I was going for the opposite. Guess I missed that mark.

friends friends, why arent we using our voltmeters and multitestors?

all this conjecture could be so easily and thoroughly resolved if

the resistant switch foilballers measured the resistance of their switches,

and the non glowers the voltage of their batteries.

otherwise it s endless chatter, but im not saying chatter doesnt have its uses...

are we unfamilar with cheap yet accurate ($10 too much?) multimeters?

Actually neither of those statements is really historically correct. Some of us have been involved with this for some time and know what goes on usually and recommend to others the techniques known to produce results.

Specifically, most of the switch issues show up under load, defective ones often show up just fine on ohm meters. And we need miliohm levels for 'shorts' so most DMMs can't separate out the ones that give low power to the load. Hence the proven successful "foilballers" test suggestions.

Likewise, strap failures are probably the most common common problem, for sure lately, not subject to finding on meters. Actual batteries that are problematic generally can't be detected with DMMs since they develop higher internal resistance and 'sag under load', so without a load they read normal. In such cases depending on such measure will lead you astray. Again, the 'old hands' know this and factor advice accordingly.

There's actually some useful wisdom in that 'chatter', many guys find it so I suggest. I suggest you and others not dismiss it.

It depends on what you're looking for. The LLC is the best example of a pure-convection portable electric vaporizer that's available on the market today. The flavor delivery is some of the purest you'll find from any vape, thanks both to the convection and the zirconia bowl & mouthpiece, and that mouthpiece also provides some of the smoothest (least irritating) vapor available without water filtration. If you care about aesthetics, the pure white of the zirconia is stunning and it feels very nice in your hands.

Here are the potential hangups, depending on what you're looking for in a vape:
  • The ceramic makes it heavy. If you're willing to spend money on a titanium model then it's about 25% lighter (~4oz less). I've never held one of those, but I imagine the weight is still noticeable compared to other vapes.
  • There is a large learning curve. There's nothing automatic about it, and it takes some time to get the hang of all the variables like heat up time, draw speed, grind, and load size.
  • The filtration system that the mouthpiece uses, along with the small air-intake holes, make for a large amount of restriction. Most people expect drawing on a vaporizer to let them breathe in freely, and when presented with a restriction they will try to fight it and struggle. The restriction is not meant to be fought, and in proper use there is no struggle. You only need to draw slower. With practice you will be surprised by how much heat you can pull through the herbs with a light draw. This is a big part of the learning curve.
  • The zirconia ceramic is quite strong compared to cheap ceramics like coffee mugs, but it's not unbreakable. It's something that you should baby like a smartphone.
  • It's possible to share with one or two other people if they are also past the learning curve, but it's really only designed as a one-person vape.
  • The fantastic insulating properties of the ceramic mean that while it takes a bit for the heat to spread, it also holds onto that heat and takes a bit to cool down. This is much more of an issue when you're still working on getting past the learning curve, as you'll have the power on for longer than is necessary at first.
With all that said, I think it's an excellent vape and a joy to use once you get the hang of it. Like I said, you won't find a better example of pure convection in any other portable today. If you're one to appreciate design and materials, there's a healthy dose of "pride of ownership" on offer.

Here's a good example of what it's capable of in experienced hands (credit to @buchee):

Do note that he's modified his switch so that it activates as soon as it's screwed in. Normal use requires holding down the power button on the bottom.

I've also got an in-depth breakdown of all the components in a video that you can find in my signature.

Greetings all, glad I found FC! I read all 244 pages of this thread...whew!

I was in the market for a vaporizer, and thanks to the info I've read here at FC, I went with a Cera EO and LL. I'm not new to vaporizers, but it's been a long time since I've used one regularly. I had a Vapor Brothers ~10 years ago, so I'm at least somewhat familiar with convection style vapes/breath techniques/etc.

I've recently acquired a source for waxes and shatters, and was looking for a portable tool to enjoy them. That was when my search led me to this thread. I was immediately impressed with the apparent quality of the materials and construction of the Cera. The fact that I could swap carts for concentrates or flowers sold me.

Well, yesterday my Cera finally arrived! Unfortunately I only had an hour or so to enjoy it before I had to head out. As others have said, the feeling of quality when it's in your hands in palpable. It was actually smaller then I had thought from looking at pictures online, a very good thing!

To start out, I pulled out the EO core and proceeded to load ~.4g of some Chocolope wax into it. I took a long time to do it, going slowly (maybe 30 minutes?). I slowly pulsed the power to melt the wax into the core. With this technique being new to me, I didn't want to prematurely vaporize any wax, nor melt it too quick that it didn't absorb into the ceramic. Now that I have a better feel for it, I know it will be MUCH quicker to load next time.

With the EO core loaded, there was only one thing to do...hit that thing like there's no tomorrow! This is my first time every experiencing concentrates, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I had a tasty flavor in my mouth as I inhaled, but found it difficult to gauge how much I was actually inhaling. When I finally exhale, a massive cloud erupts from my mouth...followed quickly by a lung seizing cough attack of epic proportions! Needless to say, the EO quickly taught me to respect the power that now resides in my hands! I take a couple more smaller hits before tapping out and putting it down.

At the end of the night I decided to try out a small LL bowl just to test it. I definitely had some decent vapor production, but I know that will increase as the Cera and I become more intimate with each other. I think I'll try the LL bowl first tonight once I'm off work, to properly gauge it from a sober start.

I picked up 2 Cigar Caddy after seeing @BLAZING OG 's pictures. That case is the perfect size to hold the Cera, a spare battery, and a NoGoo container with more wax. Thinking about picking up a slightly larger case for when I want to travel with the other core and a few more accessories.

Overall, extremely pleased with the purchase so far. Will report back with more impressions after a week or two.

Thanks again to everyone at FC, the knowledge you all provide has been extremely helpful.

Your Welcome , and thank you for the kind words.
I am glad the pics helped, the case has served my cera and 3 batteries well.
Its a perfect case for my needs cera 3 batteries and a wax container with dabber.
@Roth
Check out my youtube link to see some cera EO in action, as you have already experienced your self, she can handle her self very well.
I hope you enjoy your Cera as much as most have here.
I do think I got the Idea from @OF , One of the many FC Jedi Masters lol

Heres 1 video to get it started ,I had all these posted before but then switched youtube accounts, so it might not hurt to re post this.

Enjoy

Tried that , it works for a couple hits but then it starts to run and clog; what we need is a pipe line from the upright cera to the waterpipe intake!
anyone found any good parts to hook them
up?

..and to answer the ,"is it good for flowers?" question, I say no, not as good as an Extreme Q..but the Q isnt portable..

Silicone hose is the quickest, heres another video I did the first day I got the cera I believe.

and heres another showing my adapter and home made cera stand with auto on feature, I use a 510 standard drip tip ( in cera cart) connected to a silicone hose and finally pairs to the water piece via a vaporizer GOG adapter 14mm male but tapers on the other end to fit into hose.

Joking about the auto on feature ,its a circular piece I cut out of a 2x4 and drilled the right size hole (slightly larger than cera's 1" diameter) in the center, and added a silicone bumper in the bottom of the center hole to depress the cera button. The cera fits snug enough to be held down on the silicone bumper and I can hit her with out having to manually hold button down, works great for my water piece set up and height

These little guys come in handy for many things.

Ted,

You might try using your 'upright CERA' with the PNWT. I've used it with both the LL and EO with very nice results! Not sure if this would work for you but it's pretty modest in size, feels solid in the hand, and can be taken when you're out and about. Hope this helps.

I d love to see that, I hope to get a PNWT in the near future to pair up with various devices.
Sounds so freaking cool and convenient.

One more thing… I noticed you're in Minnesota. I think the LLC could actually make for a nice hand warmer if you're wearing gloves while out and about in the cold Minnesotan winter. I haven't tried it myself, yet.

Excellent point! You really need two though really.....not only because you have two hands but we're talking safety here. Best order another one before winter sets in. Send the wife over here and we'll explain if necessary........

I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this question, but want to double check before I spend money on something that won't work with the Cera!

I'm able to use the Cera with an 18mm female, 18mm male, and 14mm female connection, correct? All I have to do is swap out different O-rings, or use the thermal sleeve for the seal, no special adapters needed?

I'm looking at picking up a nice glass piece to pair with the Cera, so if anyone has any advice, please feel free to post at this thread.

Thanks!

Yes, but I took my Cera to make sure the adapter fit, two of the adapter I tried at the LHS, did not fit the Cera at all with the O-rings on, the third adapter I tried (the one in the video) fits snuggly with the stock Cera O-Rings, it might of been the tolerance levels of the glass adapters but they were also all different in style.
I posted a couple youtube videos of some recyclers in action, I hear the flavor is phenomenal on the recyclers with ,dabs, and flowers alike.

I hope to get a reply back from TET soon on costs for rebuilding the EO cores. I have 3 and a fourth on the way and it seems a couple ounces of oil per cart does take its toll even with good cleaning routines and clean oil.

I now have 30 sec warm up times on the EO carts to thickish vapor compared to less then 10secs and I do have fresh batteries I am using to make sure the old ones are not the culprit. I also am getting off flavor a few hits into a fresh load, similar to what old health stones start to taste like.

My hopes are TET will put to get her pricing for rebuilding old cores otherwise I will be buying 5 cores a year it seems.

Update: Zeki promptly replied and said rebuilds would be under warranty. I prefer to pay for my services so I can complain when they don't live up to my expectations. Btw this will be trip number three for my original cart, 3rd times a charm is what I am told, lol.

Update to my above post.

I received my 4th EO cart today, great to be driving a new cart! I was wondering with my long warm up times if that was all cart or if my batteries where failing, nope. Less then 10 sec I have thick vape again on my oldest battery. These CGR186550CH batteries are troopers, I have 12 of them but have only used 4 in rotation for over 3oz of oil and they perform the same as two new ones I broke out recently from first hit until charged again on EO carts, however I don't think I have ever discharged these batteries below 1/2 before they get back on the charger.

This mean my 3 cores are headed TETS way for a some TLC, my hopes are they will come back rejuvenated and eager for another oz plus each. For the record I wanted TET to charge me for these rebuilds, two of these three carts have worked flawlessly for their lifespan but no, TET wants to "fix it" under warranty, lol. For Karma sake I will probably throw a couple twenty's as padding on two of the carts.

Hitting this new cart this evening my love affair with the Cera EO is rekindled! I am getting wonderful flavor and thick pulls that almost choke me in less then 12sec. My 9 mm DYD titanium nail takes 15 sec to heat, I am saving 3 secs every hit, that is 3 sec x infinity extra my children get to spend with me.

I just added tabs/caps to my five cgr18650ch:

Stock:
CGR_18650_CH_xxx.jpg

W/ tabs:
ueJsnf3.jpg

Has anyone else tried this? I noticed that my batteries were moving around a bit in my Cera, and I was getting inconsistent heating. I sent my Cera and cores in to Thermovape for some TLC, but before that I made this change to one of my batteries and it seemed to make my Cera more consistent. So I did all five. I was just wondering if anyone else has traced any issues back to battery fit and done something about it. (I suppose I could have bought batteries from Thermovape, but those cost twice as much as I got most of these for, and with a store near me that did this for free, why not?)

Any feedback appreciated- I will run more tests when my vape is back from Thermovape. (Thoough I may have limited time to do so, because I unfortunately need to sell my Cera, as I need a vape that works better for high temperature tobacco vaping on the go, and as much as I love my Cera, the body just gets too hot for it to serve in this role at the temperatures I want for tobacco).

Shit dam i need to make myself some oil to go in my cera, and an EO cart. Is there any way to make oil besides the bho process that will work in a EO cera cart and floor you after 12 seconds like above? dam i just need e cig style vape hits! i think i might just have to grow a fkn bud plant lol.

Yeah but that kind of material would require a lot of money (stuff like pure gold, the clear, co2, etc). Qwiso still leaves too many plant fats for my liking, it doesn't go into my Revolution. Only stuff that melts down 100% and doesn't leave residue. BHO just happens to be the "easiest" to do. Just my :2c:
