Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud EVO

ok i figured out a way to train my elb's to fit in my new evo. they were a bit too snug, and I was worried i'd break the joint of the evo. but i found a way to make em fit easy.

so here is what I did. i have an ssv and the pick that comes with it. any straight edge that isn't sharp will do the trick. but that's what I used.

so run the pick along the seam of the elb where it is welded together. push in so that the weld doesn't poke out at all.

then slowly work the elb into the joint. I did this while the unit was still warm. I figured the that would only make the metal more malleable.

after I pulled the elb out I noticed the force on the circumference of the elb forced the weld to "dent" in a tad.
all my left over elb's from my old ticker unit now wit in my evo! I had 10 so now I have 12! :)

just wanted to pass this on to you fine folks :)

I agree with the comment that the cloud tends to say "fuck your tolerance!" I can do multiple LARGER bowls in other vapes, and hit some "ceiling" pretty fast. With the cloud a full ELB is too much for me, yet take 3x that bud and put it into ________________ and I can't get the same effects. It is witchcraft. I know I complain a lot lately about the indiegogo stuff and the shipping etc, but I try to emphasize that those are MINOR MINOR complaints about stuff, most of which turn out to be a misunderstanding (like previous cloud owners getting theirs last). I want to be 100% clear that I think this is THE best desktop vaporizer ever IMO. There are some I haven't tried yet, but nothing I have tried can even hold a candle to the cloud.

In fact all of my complaints have been about indiegogo, me being impatient for shipping times, and misunderstandings.

The only complaint I have that is against the product or the company is the fact that the top of the evo gets hot. Now I understand that is necessary and basically the exhaust point of the evo. I'd be happy with a solution of a couple extra wrist bands to dull the heat a little. Worst case I can rig something up at home. That is a pretty strong sign when my only complaint is one super minor ergonomic one, and the fact that I'm too impatient to get my evo. I think a cloud+ will arrive for me today to hold me over, but its no Evo!

Just about 2 o'clock. The first picture in my post shows the setting that it was on.

Interesting fact: when I look down the bamboo when it is green, I can see a very small flashing red light near the bottom.
Right where I seem to have gravitated to on the dial.

Gotcha. Just curious, how many hits did you get out of that ELB on 2?

Those 2 pics were the first & second hit. I'm pretty sure I got another thick one, then 2 or 3 less dense hits. But I wasn't counting, so I could be a bit off.

I wasn't specific at all when filling the ELBs, but I think I was always somewhere around 1/3 full. It was a killer pineapple kush that I'd been saving for the EVO :science:

Hmm the super hotness of the top part doesn't bother me at all. Funny how everyone is so different. My main concern with that is someone burning their hand and being a crybaby about it. When I got my EVO I don't recall seeing much of a "WARNING!!" about that. But then again I got mine without the retail box and the instruction manual.

I really do like its secondary function as a handwarmer when you unplug it and you're just sitting there watching a movie or something.

I'm used to a hot cloud ticker after leaving it on for a long time. My friend had his evo on for 3 medium length sessions in a row and it was VERY uncomfortable to the touch where I'd grab it to invert to use safely in my glass. To the point where I'll be putting some ugly wristbands or something on it. Unless of course mine isn't as hot as his. I really don't know why his is so hot to be honest, but I'll eventually have one to compare it to. If it's that hot I'll come up with a DIY fix, but it won't be as pretty as the naked cloud I'm sure. Perhaps a carbon fiber shell could be custom made. It has some interesting heat absorption properties, but I'm sure that would void my warranty having one made :/ It would look AMAZING too.

Cloud+ doesn't come until tomorrow, and I'll be away tomorrow :(

Or say picking the unit up, it burning their hand, and them instinctively dropping or throwing it away from them. Then you have a broken tube and/or bamboo. I think most of us are pretty helpful when guiding new users through the steps and precautions, though.

$250 upgrade contributor here. I'm curious what the window for shipping all the preorders out is. On the indiegogo page it said "Estimated delivery: October 2013," so I wanted to touch base. Reading the thread it would seem Nimbus Early Bird orders are shipping out. I'm just curious what the timetable is for this rollout.

I went to my friend's house thinking "how hot is hot...pussy" but HIS is particularly hot. Maybe his is a fluke or something because this was at 12:00 on the dial not any higher than that.

Super easy to fix, but if it should be comfortable to hold at the top he will want to send his back I bet. If it is normal to not be able to hold the top 1/3 of the device, then we will come up with a DIY solution and adapt.

I got this email through the Indiegogo campaign today:

"We are continually pushing out units as we approach the holidays. As any prudent manufacturer would do, we are sending out units in batches and making sure that there are no issues before moving on to the next batch. This will ensure that you get optimally performing units. The good news is, each batch is getting larger and larger and the feedback has been tremendous. We are continually looking for ways to ramp up production without sacrificing quality but we are making lots of progress and hope to get all Indiegogo Contributors their units before Xmas."

As a bonus they have various romantic sayings written in the language of love inscribed on them.

These should provide adequate insulation, hope they fit.

Smooth sailing while I'm inhaling... VAPOR
Just got some amazing wax. Cranked the EVO to max and waited 10 minutes. Dropped some wax in the inner side of a mini elb. Closed mini elb with bottom of EQ cap. Put in EVO. Pull slowly out of mobius matrix bubbler. MILK. TASTIEST DAB EVER:D. It took me 20 minutes to write this. The EVO did a great job. No residue left over. Clean caps and a very stoned skipper:spliff::leaf:

Why is Spanish the language of love? I thought that was French. :D

Nice colours though. ;)

Do the HTs have generally more taste than regular glass pieces or the other way around?

I just want to congratulate @stonemonkey55 and VHX Team.... Thanks a lot guys. It is a really nice beauty piece of work. After seeing Swagger labels I don't even care. They are smaller than they look. Everything is smaller than it looks
It's nice to look at it. It is really well designed.
What is not really small is FLAVOR. Taste really good. I can't wait to get your new products. Exciting times coming. Keep going guys.
I'll be experimenting later today with some better strains I reserved. I was so impatient that I didn't do a burn off or rinse or clean ELB. Just straight to unbox that beauty and plug it and crank it to MAX. Load ELB to 1/2 and start drawing like my life was on it. No science behind such an easy vape with a trained FCer and all the support of this awesome crew of all FC members. Thanks guys.
No splash at all. The turbine swirls perfect like a recycler even action. Smoooooooooth, and those opals,:smug:
Man, NO MORE WORDS
This baby delivers, later I'll rinse bamboo, already put ELB to soak in castile liquid soap water. ISO fine salt shake for HT.
Blue City Diesel I can't wait to hit you with my NEW EVO LE 2013 :dog: :bigleaf:

Mini ELBs just made with my fingers. Just EQ dome SS screens. No need to waste ELB caps. Get them online at bulk. Wash them and ISO them. They carry almost a standard Solo stem bowl. Awesome to have preloaded in a airtight container and do one hitters at 3.5 to MAX

Also wanna hear the best way to clean the bamboo. I had some plant matter fall in there and they are not willingly blowing out.

as for the bowls, I iso soak em and rinse in hot water. then 10 min in the toaster oven on a low temp to dry off.

the elb's get dirty fast! i'd say 3-5 bowls per elb and I notice restriction and want em cleaned.

btw i combusted twice this morning. once a full temp! lol oops. of course it did! and then again at 2. not sure what happened exactly on that one, but i found the bottom part of the elb's herb was where the burning started. cleaned my glass 3x in 2 days! yikes :p haha

I think I'd wait til its all cool too... Using canned air, it comes out COLD and if the bottle gets inverted, the liquid that comes out can burn you it is so cold. That temperature differential could definitely crack glass...

Out to lunch
those wristbands are made to withstand high temps without offgasing?
The EVO housing never reaches a high temp. Leave it on for an extended time and you won't want to handle the top half, but it won't burn you.

they are made of silicone
There you go. Silicone is good to at least 400 F. Those bands aren't fazed by an EVO even if you left it on for a week.
