thanks for the help I thought the voltage thing would be a problem. I guess i didnt really ask the question right. im looking for a Power adapter option instead of buying one off arizer or a supplier. does the ps2 slim adapter act as a PA.

Have you tried Vaping at level 6 or 7? I believe on the Solo that's around 410f which is going to activate CBD and CBN aswell as THC.

I have been using one of these for about a year with no problems, except that the conection to the Solo is a different size and will need either an adaptor or a pigtail with the proper connection. I used to own a video game store, so I had one on hand. If you actually have to buy a power supply you might give the "Pipes" PA some consideration. It seems to be the best solution.

well, some background. I been smoking joints for 30 years and tried smoking all types of cannabis in all possible permutations
I got the solo delivered on Friday, yes two days ago so I am trying vape for first time ever and had a 3 day tolerance break prior to Friday's vape session. now dont get me wrong it gets me stoned but not like the combustion method's.
I have promised myself to not combust anything for at least a fortnight, this will be some challenge for a daily smoker. as I am otherwise a non smoker of cigarettes so I will be feeling withdrawal from the nicotine.
I can rule out my trees being of poor quality as this is the same variety I was using ptior to vaping.
interested to hear what you think.

Have you tried it at levels 6 or 7 ?
The higher the temp , activates CBD/THC differently than lower temps .
When you combust , you are using the highest temp level , Flame
You're missing that part . That is why some desk top models are better . They're more powerful , in short .
The Sublimator does this or come as close to combustion with it's high power temp settings , amongst other factors .
( Vortex/venturi ) .
Have you tried shatter yet ?
Mine doesn't look like that in three respects: 1). No specks. My bowl is spotless. 2). The holes in your bowl look bigger than mine do. 3). There is no uneven visible spacing between the 4-hole bottom plate and the sides of the bowl.
Have any of you guys received a solo that looks like this? This is how I got mine and I thought the bowl was dirty so I tried cleaning it with iso and nothing. It looks like the specks are part of the stainless steel. Have any of you received a solo that looks like this?
Is yours not working properly? I would not use steel wool or other highly abrasive material as has been suggested. Mine comes spotlessly clean easily with a Q-tip dipped in ISO (then squeezed half dry).

I also noticed the holes look larger then mine as well.
No specs but plenty stained.

In the meantime ladies and gentlemen, my Solo is winning over hardcore smokers. Took it to a party, and after people started hitting it no one packed a bowl in a regular combustion piece the entire time, which is pretty telling in my opinion. And this party lasted till 4 in the morning!
My friend offered to buy it off me right then and there, and my response was a huge grin and "naaaaw, I'm good"! He offered 135 for the solo and my WT setup...lol get the F outta here son! BUT I told him he could buy his own solo for around that price, and if he wants he could borrow my WT till he can afford his own. The only reason I'm doing that is cause he was my best friend in High School, which should count for something

I recently introduced one of my combust-only friends to a Solo/bubbler session with 1/3rd bowl of Lemon Skunk nicely cured. A 30+ year MJ veteran, he was skeptical to say the least before taking only three good hits. Several minutes later he could not stop yapping about how incredibly blitzed he was, and as compared to a joint was much more so on much less! I did commit to 15 pages to find the answer,but when I saw there was 831 of them I didn't really commit further.
What's the smell like with the solo?As a lot of us I'm skint and still live my parents who don't really approve so hoping to just open a window and do it in my room.Would that be alright to do without it really smelling?

Exactly man! I've never seen my friend higher to be honest, I mean, I can't even handle two bowls in a row to myself with a water setup, one bowl gets me baked. He texted me the day after, and told me he wished he had a solo.
I think I've accomplished the two great things regarding the Solo.
- Get ripped off it hahaha
- Spread the word! The best persuasion is from word of mouth and experience. I told him I love it, he hits it a couple times, and was a believer.

Smell is pretty low my gf whom hates the smell of burning flowers can sit beside me in the same room while I vape and it
Doesn't bother her at all
Oh and my sister was over and she was asking if I had quit same with a neighbor so I'd say your good

I also live in a household where I couldn't smoke freely, since I got my solo I use it in my room and no one notices, even walking in less then 2mins after I finish. The main smell comes from preparing your bowl. If your vaping it out the window, Im sure you wont have any issues.

Its still gonna smell. Try blowing out the window, but if ur parents know how weed smells like, theyre gonna find out if they walk in the room.
It depends how much u vape, the temp, ect for the smell. It can go in a little as 15 min or linger for a couple of hours.
Thank god i solved this problem. I had a mature conversation with my mom and now i can vape whenever i want. I suggest u talk to ur parents. My mom grew up in a war stricken country where all drugs were controlled by war lords and criminals. She was very poorly educated about drugs and i can understand that. All drugs were referred to as drugs, basically she didnt know how to distinguish weed from any other drug. She thought theyre all more or less provide the same effects.
So i sat her down and educated her. She finally says "if its such a good plant why dont u let me try it", im like i trust this plant so much i would let u try it under my supervision. My mom suffers from migraines too so it should help her out. She didnt actually open the subject again but maybe one day.

@wolfmother it isn't the same as smoking and it is something you have to get used to. You can get more of a body with higher heat hence why I personally don't like high heat.
Stems is a personal preference if you read at all we all prefer diff ones and even change with in our own rotations.

@wolfmother it takes some time to get used to how to hit the solo "right"

It's a strange situation really.My mum would be fine with it but my dad not so much.My brother smoke weed and he lives in the extended garage and he sneaks out the back and he doesn't get them moaning about it.Once I got caught when I was young and I may as well been hung,thinks its because I'm an active person and love to exercise an they were just looking out for me.Even now I'm 23 though and can't do as Much as I used to from breaking my foot 3 times he still will moan and moan.
They don't come in at all,I got sky and an xbox which is a stoners dream.And if I can just be discreet and have a slight smell but keep a window open then hopefully it will be fine.Plus I have an e cig that gives off smell,so I'm going with the "it's a new flavour called purple haze" ;-)

Most of the Cannabis users I know still use ZIG-ZAGS.
They hate my vaporizer.
Too smooth for them.
I hate the taste of smoke now!

My doctor say's to have my stuff tested.
Next harvest I will definitely have my medicine tested.
Shatter as well.
So far I have been judging by FLAVOR and EFFECT!
LAB TESTING is a good thing regardless if you Grow your self or someone else does for you!
