I attempted using the Hercules with the oil coil with some wax today.
Loaded at least half a gram of wax on top of the coil, pulled it using the 3 second on and off technique to the point where it never reached too hot of a temp. I couldn't see anymore wax on top of the coil
after a bit and I still haven't seen any vapor or smoke from the Hercules. I've used it before for herbs and it worked just fine but I don't know what's wrong now. It still heats up normally from what I can feel but I'm just not getting any hits. I haven't messed with the coil length or anything like that, it's all stock and I just recently upgraded to the Persei and Hercules but have used every cartridge with the Omicron HVD with ease, going through a few grams each cartridge.
I upgraded to the Hercules mainly cause I didn't want to keep purchasing cartridges but I seem to need help on figuring out how to properly use this thing cause it just drained half a gram of wax without any sign of vapor. Please help!
Do I still need to load more on top of the coil or somehow differently?
BTW, I was using blonde crumble like wax if that matters.

Welcome aboard! You will learn to love it in no time.
First it works much better with the coil cut down at least so you can see the top of the rod. But seeing how you already have .5 into it you have almost primed the coil, yes it takes about .5 to prime w/full size coil.
So as I see it you have a few choices, add more wax and more power and then when you clean it you can cut down your coil, or you can just hold on power for about 10-20n secs and you should start getting big clouds! But you will have to hold the power on longer as you use up the primer from the coil. Then clean and cut down coil, the Herc will vape about anything, just hold down the power, once you got it going then adjust power use for flavor.

I would still cut it down. Full coils are for oils that are more liquid like pure gold. Heat the top cart so the coil is unglued and pull it out. User dykes or large scissors and cut the coil so it a bit below the rod when inserted. Just measure without a coil with a toothpick...
Make sure the top SS piece is fully set in the top SS tube. Back off the screen retainer in the mouth piece a half or full turn before screwing it in. It will mate against the SS top piece and hold it down.
Hold it upright, hit the power and start draw. After say 5-6 seconds release power and continue draw for another 6 seconds or until cooler.
Lay horizontal to store.
With the coil and thick oil it is handled different than herb because it flows and leaks...

hey man i was in the same bought until i cut my coil where the rod is just barely over the coil. other than that you need to get your coil saturated which is gonna take .5-.7 grams. once its saturated id drop another .5-.7 on top. once theres wax saturated in the coil and some on top while it heats, there should be no problem. let me know how it goes
*edit* maybe a little less than .5 and .7, try .3 and .5 first. trial and error just dont overload or underload your coil

With a 30% coil and shatter u want about .2-.3 buffer followed by .2-.3 to vape so .6ish total
With the white rod, both the buffer and oil to vape will melt fully or almost into the coil when priming so u wont see any oil on top when u go to vape.
The black rod, ive found, doesnt melt the oil fully into the coil. I usually load the buffer, prime, when most of the oil is gone or around the edges i scrape whatevers left to the center and i add the rest of the oil directly ontop of the rod. Prime for a few seconds and then good to go.
Same amount for each rod. Runs through same amnt of oil like 3x faster with the white rod
If ur getting heat and no vapor, like others have mentioned, cut the coil(scissors are fine), make sure your placing the top cap on before the the mouthpiece, and make sure the screw on the mouthpiece is unscrewed so about 1mm of the notches are showing...also try decreasing draw speed, puffing on it like a cigar till u see vapor

For some maybe, but I have heard of people using the cap wrong. DO NOT put the metal cap into the mouthpiece. Insert the cap into the herc chamber all the way before you put the mouth piece in. Unscrew the nut inside the mouthpiece maybe an 1/8" before screwing the mouthpiece in. This will push down the cap and make a seal. Also check for leaks in the bottom chamber. When I first got my Herc goin, I lost alot down there. Once i had that leak fixed...No issues except running out of oil.

Yep, thanks for the new vids, exactly what I've been waiting for. Herc & Nibbler-XL is fantastic at home now that I've got the right cap and o-rings, but it is not a very portable pair.
If this new product has a removable drip tip, is rebuildable, you can provide Ti wire spools and extra ceramic rods, and can also dry-burn itself clean it would be a vapers dream come true!
I would love to use it with rotating drip tip & 60mm "pipe" style tips which I already use on my other atomizers: Example A, B, C
Although if it is 601 it would be nice to have a "skirt" or "beauty ring" to hide the 510 adapter if you use it on a different mod. I guess it's just a reason to get a new matching set along with it. Either way I'm excited!!!
One of the main reasons I am attracted is that it looks relatively "normal", unless you were very knowledgeable about these types of things, it would appear to be like any other high end rebuildable atomizer. I don't mind taking my Persei & Herc out on the road but it is definitely "magic wand" status, even relative to my largest variable voltage device & atomizer paired together. Invisibility is a super power!

when you do put the cap on, do NOT cover the hole with your thumb when doing so. this way you don't create back pressure (probably wrong term there) and force wax out the airflow holes...
