Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

elmomuzz

That just happened...
I dunno. One thought I've had is it's bits of herb that have made their way inside getting incinerated when they hit the heater. I really only started noticing it lately.

Like I said I'm glad I've upgraded to a Evo. :D

Mine (og ticker) has always had that smell, especially when inverted. It doesn't go away even when the bamboo has been soaked, and is fully clean. I've always felts it was the smell of solder, and hot electronics/ heat in general. But, I've never mentioned it here, as I figured it would cause quite a discussion lol. Anyhow, I don't feel like this smell makes it into the bamboo and into my lungs when hitting the cloud, weather inverted or not...so I'm not worried. Also, after being on, and hot, 24/7 for months, as well as many on for hours, then off for hours days, I'm not worried about this beast dying.

My original OG clicker had an electronic smell that came from the enclosure, not the bamboo, but it went away after an hour. My other OG clicker and my Cloud+ have had no odor issues what-so-ever, inverted or otherwise . . . :)

I have a sensitive nose, compared to many. It's not a strong smell at all, but I definitely notice it, when the bottom of the Cloud is near my face (when inverted) and it's been on for a long time, at noon or higher. It's quite noticeable, but maybe not to some. Also, no denying that all Clouds are not made equal...could be a less than common issue. Either way, it's definitely not in the airpath, and doesn't bother me at all.

I guess I never smelled it because I almost always used to use my could at like 10. I only turned it up to about 12 or 1 when doing the two cap method.

I run mine at 12 to 3 o'clock. The smell is pretty potent. I've only had it 3 weeks or so. It's pretty disappointing but what can I do? I don't want to use it really and I don't feel it would be right to try and sell it. Oh well, you live and you learn. Also, I noticed that running it from 2-3 o'clock would vaporize the herb through conduction. I would see the vapors rise. The unit functioned fine but the build quality was pretty bad, especially at that price point. Just my :2c:.

Hello all!
I'm a big fan of the cloud.
I had no idea so much discussion was happening about it.
I have a lot of back reading to do...wow.

The recent posts are talking about the strange eletronic smell from the bottom of the cloud, well, you an add me to that list.
Mine did it before too.
About a week before it stopped heating, so I don't know if that was a coincidence or not.

I also read that the turnaround under warranty looks like it will be slow because the manufacturer that was working with VapeXhale screwed them over and things are just now getting figured out.

I've been with VapeXhale from the beginning.
Ever since I saw them in hightimes.
I've had the "ticker" and the cloud plus, both unfortunately quit on me after about six months or so, but what a ride.

I'm covered under an extended warranty I opted for when I upgraded to the plus, and I'm glad I did.

I don't ever want to stop using this vape.
When it works, it's amazing..although I haven't tried the Volcano yet, and I hear that is about the only comparison.

This is old new to you all I'm sure, but I don't go on the Internet as often as I used to with the new baby and all...
I'm reading on vapexhales site that you can preorder an EVO now..?

Does anyone know if they will trade the cloud plus for that under warranty?

That would be sweet. :)

Time for me to do some reading..maybe this was already asked by someone else.
Sorry if so.

Overheated electronic's makes a very acrid, plastic smoke kind of smell... I hope that's not what you guys are talking about :o
I never witnessed actual smoke. I'm pretty sure anything that came out was vapor. The smell is very similar though.

Edit....The Evo's have started to roll out and actually have their own thread now! So far the talk is very good. You should check it out. I think they are offering some sort of trade in offer but don't quote me.

Already asked this, but I still haven't been able to find an answer and I don't know where else to ask.

Does anyone know weather I should be running my voltage regulator with my cloud at 120v or 110v? Does it even matter? I know U.S outlets are 120v but the cloud is 110v?

I've been running it at 120 but I'm not sure if this is harmful...

So what is better the Swagger Showercap, Tree or Circ? I don't think I can recall using any of them in a piece before, if I have I don't recall. I read the showercap would be best for flavor?

There's no "better" hydratube

The tree and the showerhead should be pretty much the same from a diffusion standpoint.

I've noticed that people tend to gravitate toward either trees or showerheads once they've tried both, as there are minor differences, but for the most part, they are the same.

The showercap holds less water, and offers a lower level of diffusion than the showerhead/tree.
(less water and diffusion does generally lead to less of the taste being filtered out)

Which one you'll prefer comes down to your own preferences on how much diffusion you like.

I haven't hit a showercap yet, so maybe someone who has can chime in on how much drag it has.
I'd assume less than the showerhead/tree, but I'm not sure.

My swagger showercap has very little drag, it's very fizzy diffusion. Very good to maintain flavor. The upper tube is smaller diameter than my vertigo ht which took some getting used to. IMO there is no "bad" choice when it comes to ht's.....

You already asked, and @max already answered...
Your actual voltage could be anywhere between about 107 to 123. I'd select 110.

Also, AFAIK the outlets/power here in the US are 110/220, not 120...

YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T BUY THIS CHEESY SHITTY PRODUCT!!!!
It's a very fine vaporizer WHEN it works.
When it doesn't anymore they practically tell you to GO FUCK YOURSELF (Warranty or not) for them having there own problems. They want a lot of money from you and when you have a problem you get a standard email telling you they can't do SHIT (right now [yeah right let me guess you can soon but then my warranty won't be worse shit, right?]).
WHAT KINDA FUCKING BUSINESS PRACTICE IS THIS?!?!?!?!
But well turns out again that there's just a bunch of stoners behind this product (if you want to avoid that BUY A VOLCANO for God sake thats a real company that can keep their warranty promisses and doesn't cry about the bad, bad manufactureres who tried to rip them off, yeah right). You can take your shitty Cloud and your Evo and your future pieces of American cheesy shit and shove it up your asses.
Again if you think about buying from these guys:
JUST DON'T
they want a lot of money from you and they don't have their shit together.
