Are the Evo Elbs noticeably bigger than the og?

I can't view themillshot vid on my phone without downloading some app so I haven't seen it yet, btw.

Edit: I noticed in your video that you and your brother don't ever separate the HT from the EVO to clear it. I'm sure you did so, off camera, however. So, :

1.) Vapor production looks to be awesome, if you're getting such huge hits without even clearing the tube!

and

2.) when you did lift of the HT to clear it, was it too hot at the top to do so? Did you find it awkward to grip the unit at the bottom (where it's cooler) to do so? If so, do you think VXL wristbands are enough to solve that issue? (edit: @Deadshort480 thoughts?)

Yeah it's too hot too handle at at the top. When I use it normally outside of the video I'm always separating the two.

It is not awkward at all to just grip the bottom and do it. I think someone with an EVO said that, but I don't get what he means. I have no issues with just handling the bottom.

There are only 2 wristbands in there so it does not make it able to grip the top safely. Maybe with more.

And yes yes yes I know to the other reply about being nervous about the stacking. Figured I'd hear it. It sketched SM when he saw it too but I reassured all that it was done as wisely as possible for the vid. I will say that I'm very paranoid about breaking equipment and if it was unsafe I wouldn't have done it. It's more sturdy than it looks and it's not as heavy as it seems. However the unit is very lightweight so the setup is top heavy like that, so you only want gravity going vertically and you want a spotter and hand support. I just did minimal hands on it to show off the setup in the video. I'm not planning on using that setup much at all. The glycerin tube is more for the bubbler I have coming.

Also, the fanatic tube is not too tall too be used like any other tube. Unless you're really short I guess. I don't have any problems with that and was watching a show last night using it very comfortably, grabbing it off the table and using 1 hand on each (VXL and glass).

Like I said, it feels like a king's scepter. I was so high I kept thinking about oldschool Mario 3 where when you defeat a boss the scepter goes flying in the air and you catch it, falling from the sky. Weird thought but it was funny to me in that state of mind. :D

I think this kind of post belongs here, rather than in the actual EVO thread, so I'm responding to it here...But anyhow, I hear where you're coming from, but with the fact that they're sending out orders based on what's available more than what "place in line" you're in, it doesn't make sense to start telling people their "position..." it would just lead to disappointment if/when you didn't get your order before the person behind you in line, etc. Also, adding this extra work into the whole process would only potentially take away from getting orders sent out. And, finally, it won't make any difference as to when our EVO get's to us ultimately, weather we know the date or not. VXL has stated that they will send out shipping confirmation/tracking before/when the unit is sent out...that's a decent heads up :nod:

I'm not trying to rag on ya, but these kinds of posts get annoying in the thread about the device, when there is a separate thread just for posts like this. It's kind of annoying when you're hoping for real updates, or legitimate questions! THIS thread, however, is TOTALLY appropriate, as it's meant to discuss the anticipation of receiving ones EVO. So, can we all just wish, dream, whine and complain HERE as opposed to the EVO's actual thread?? Thanks!

Now, on topic for here...I really really really need to stop refreshing my email/FC...this wait is definitely getting to me, and I DO have a working Cloud. I can only imagine those such as VnS, and others without a working VXL product, in the wait.

The LE enclosures were going to be green yeah? Have they tested/made/shown any that we are aware of?

Do you guys tend to prefer using your EVO/Cloud in a certain orientation? It sounds like the reduced weight of the EVO should help when it's used upside down...but I'm still curious ;)

I'm an early bird, but I impulse bought the SYN Hydrant in the classifieds because the price was too good to pass up and I'm interested to see if usability changes upside down vs right-side up with the HT. I'm going to get so much nice glass at once...the only other glass piece I have is my Pinnacle Hydrotube that I used with my (now dead) Arizer Solo. :uhoh:

I can't guess how good this'll be lol

Right-side-up vs down doesnt seem to effect performance, aside from ergonomics. I have fun using the Cloud in any setup I've tried, and they all seem to work well!

I seem to remember green with Fanatcs way back when yes, but the color thing has progressed where some Fanatics took standard black and others are waiting on the Limited Edition color.

Maybe we could make a delivery graph if several people posted when they received it and their SN. If I'm not mistaken, they've adpoted 5-digit incremental SNs now. The last SN I've seen was 00011. I think I will be somewhere in a 00150 - 00300 range. I can't wait for the EVO, missing a Cloud is horrible. Today I've let my EQ heat up and blow for a little too long and the PVC tube connecting two elbows (EQ to HT) has molten and deformed O_O. All glass where are you?
I've replaced it with my MFLB silicone tube, that will never melt, but it's much more cumbersome.
