Discontinued VapeXhale Cloud

This is our exchange mails :
Sorry you didn't understand, or weren't satisfied, with their replies. IMO, VapeXhale is being reasonable. But everyone's certainly entitled to their own opinion. And when I said that I didn't know the details, well, I don't think putting out your personal communications with others is all that necessary, or warranted. A bit of paraphrasing may have been called for. Again, just my opinion. Not trying to start a war.

Edit: I apologize for unwittingly opening a :worms:here. I should have stayed in timeout.:(

On a side note I noticed that my Cloud started to whistle. When I looked inside I saw a small microfracture/crack on the bamboo inside. It is still functional but I have a feeling that my ticker model is about to bite the dust. I had pulled out my EQ the other day and it is no cloud! I

dam hope it comes before the emerald cup...the sonoma hilton hotel is allowing vaping in the rooms. The cloud would be the cherry on top for the weekend!

Sad day man :( but you won't be without it for long i think. You are an evo pre order i assume?

@530rasta I always vape in hotels wherever I go (within my own country that is), never gotten in trouble for it yet. :)

In Park City I got charged a $500 cleaning bill for "smoking in the room". I had my MFLB with me and used it around the property, but never in the room. When I called to complain, they said they really didn't have the "usual" proof and refunded my money. Idiots must have seen some green flecks or something. Another time, around here I used the Pax discreetly in the hallway and got locked out my room because "someone smelled marijuana". So yea, vape smell goes away, but hotels are still not cool with it for the most part.

That said, allowing vaping at that hotel is awesome, and the Cloud would just be too cool to have with you! I always leave mine at home and bring the Pax or the Solo.

Hello fellow vapor enthusiasts!

I have come for some good advice. So I’ll try to keep this short. I had purchased my Cloud in the fall of 2012 and noticed it had began to run considerably hotter by January of this year (2013). So I received all the instructions of who and where to send my Cloud to have it fixed and was instructed to pay the $150 to have the internal glass parts fixed. Only after I had paid the $150 and receiving no confirmation that my Cloud had even been received by them to be fixed, I contacted them to see what was up. I was told about the manufacture disagreement and that there were no parts at that time to fix it and that I would have to wait until there were parts to use to fix it. So I waited. I would check into these forums to keep up to date on the matter and saw at first that all Cloud fixes would hopefully take place in this month of November. Then that was thrown out the door for a new plan of a Cloud trade-in at a discounted price. So I wasn’t sure what that meant for my Cloud or the $150 dollars I had spent to have the Cloud fixed. So I contacted VapeXhale and this is what I was told...

Modnote: <removed>From the rules: Do not post the contents of private conversations without permission from all parties involved.

To which I replied...

“Well I appreciate all your help and your quick responses but I would like to know how I can get a hold of the previous contract manufacturer so I can take this up with him or her. And please correct me if I am wrong, but as a company that I have invested a good bit of my own money to purchase your products, I feel there should be more you all could do to help right this wrong. I know my situation and the situation of others that have had problems with your company are just “small fish” in the grand scheme of things to you all. But I feel it would show the true nature of this company in your handling of us “small fish.” I hope you all can continue to work with me to come to a resolve because I have no intention of letting this fall by the wayside. Not just for the $150 that was taken from me but for the principle of the matter. Thanks again so much for your time and help. I really appreciate the responsiveness in getting back to me to help keep moving things forward.”

So I just wanted to see what you guys would do. It pains me to not have what I thought to be the best, most well rounded vaporizer but I feel I can no longer support their company in good conscience with my given predicament. So I will continue to fight the good fight but I wanted to hear from you guys if you thought it is worth sticking with VapeXhale or moving on two something else like the SSV, the LSV, or the VripTech, or any other recommendations you guys had! Thanks for your time!

Can I give you the most reasonable and mature response to life award? i love that you have no sense of entitlement, share your point, and then how you can address the issue without unnecesary blame. Fuck i love you right now... your just so awesome :) as to your problem I wasn't part of the initial cloud phase so i'm putting my trust that without the manufacturers problem Vapexhale is an above average company morally, they did after all keep the same legal company instead of folding and voiding all warentees . just my opinion, dunno how i would think of it with that sunk cost

@VanillaGorilla. Speaking from a purely pragmatic standpoint I would get the EVO. If you read through the forums you will see that VXC is doing well beyond what most companies would have done and I think they have the best. If you can forget about your bad experience and focus on which Vape is best for your needs that is the best approach. I am confident EVO's won't have the same problem

Looks like it. Although I'm sure the $250 discount offer took the $150 payment into account.
I don't know. Sounds like an offer of the campaign trade in price to me and It sounds as though this issue happened before the Indiegogo campaign, but is trying to be resolved after the campaign. What sounds about right to me would go like this. Trade in at $250 price, take $150 off that price, the gentleman receives his EVO at $100. Call me crazy if you want, but this sounds justifiable to my ear.

The problem is tha payment went to the manufacturers that fucked over stone monkey. They were paid 150$ to fix the vape. they didn't do any of that and the contract ended with the litigation issue. VapeXhale did NOT get the 150$, and are offering what they can to help white gorilla. For them to incur an extra 150$ would be them covering the manufacteres liability

Yeah I don't mean to come in here to start a riot or bust anyone's balls. I just really don't know what to do. I LOVE their product but HATE this situation so it's got me in quite a bind.

And I'm sure VXC has only gotten the success and acclaim they have had was through good and solid business practices as well as good customer support and handling. I know my story is just a few of the bad experiences surrounding VXC and the vast majority have had more than a pleasant experience. I see I am "small fish" in this pond but I guess it's every "small fishes" dream to be taken care of as if it were a "big fish" (which probably isn't the best analogy since it's the big fish that end up as dinner or mounted on a wall. Hahahaha). So I don't wish to put the company or anyone at fault or in a bind because of MY problem. I just hope to be able to work my hardest to come to a resolution or move on to the next best thing.

Looks like it. Although I'm sure the $250 discount offer took the $150 payment into account.

As far as what I have seen the $250 discount goes out to anyone with an older Cloud wishing to trade-in. So no it does not take the $150 into account.

I understand that. Sometimes a company has to eat some profit or shell dough out to keep a customer or an entire customer base happy and faithful. I hear a lot of talk about how VXC could have folded shop and fucked everyone by producing under a different name and not honoring anything. While this may be true, who in their right mind would buy anything from them if that was the route they went? I sure as fuck wouldn't and I do not care how well the product is made or how well it works.

From what I understand, VXC chose the manufacturer. When you get into bed with a manufacturer you have to stand by them because, ultimately, it was their decision to go with that manufacturer, not the customer. Now, I'm not saying that you stand by them once they've fucked you over, but you do stand by your decision to use that manufacturer. If they fuck you, you do not fuck the customer in turn by pushing the blame off on a manufacturer and holding up your hands saying "not our fault".

Many businesses fold before they ever turn a profit. Thats the chance you take by going into business. Nothing new there. It's been that way for a long, long time.

Just this guy's humble opinion.

Every product and warranty is different. I've had multiple Game Consoles fail for example, yet I keep buying them. Sony even settled a Class Action Lawsuit regarding the faulty PS2s. But the CAL took 5 years to get resolved, and most people forgot about the original PS2 hardware issues... YMMV

I would suggest we have a separate thread for OLD-CLOUD support/Q & A perhaps, might make things easier for people dealing with warranty issues etc..[/quote]

It may be worth seeing if they'll extend a better offer once they're back on solid ground. That may involve waiting a month or two. I firmly believe that VapeXhale will do right by the folks who've had issues in the past that haven't been resolved, they just need to make sure that "opening the floodgates" so to speak won't put them back in the red.

Just sold my still working great OG Cloud to a good friend, farewell old friend, you have served me well.

Edit: I should clarify that the sale is helping fund my new EVO.
After re-reading my original post, I didn't want it to look like I got rid of it for any negative reason.

Without going into specifics, if you guys could give us more time to get on our feet, we can begin resolving these issues. We can either fix these broken units now, and be cash broke, and disappear OR, we can sell units, get profitable, be able to buy parts and begin repairs on units when we are capable.

It is a horrible situation, and one that I've apologized and explained over and over but it is what it is. I guarantee if we folded and re-emerged as another company there would be plenty of sales that we could make because let's face it, no one really knows about VapeXhale outside of this community. We aren't saying "tough luck" to you guys, we are saying that if we do ANYTHING other than sell the existing unit right now, then the company will go under because of cash flow issues. It is THAT SIMPLE

If you guys want to keep questioning our business ethics, that's fine but at the end of the day, if we have to keep talking about and explaining the exact same issues, ultimately, that slows done production and fulfillment and it will take us longer to get to a point where we are financially sound to repair units.

As for all the other armchair CEOs out there, I'd be more than willing to let you sit in my seat for 24 hours and see if you guys all still feel and see things the same way. Lot's of tough decisions have to be made and ultimately some people will be mad but I guarantee you, more people benefit from every single decision we make. That's how we do things here, by what benefits the MOST people, not for what is convenient for us. We are customer oriented people but our hands are tied right now but we are getting them loosened up so we can do our thing sooner than later. Back to work for me.

Is this true? I thought that offer expired in the summer with the indie campaign.

Can anyone who has an old cloud upgrade, or do you have to be an original owner.

What happens to the old clouds that are returned?

Has anyone sent in their cloud yet to exchange it for the Evo ?

mod note: Edited to fix broken quote.

Yes, BACK TO WORK! :whip:Simple economics demands it!

But I am impressed and grateful that you, @Troi , and others from VXL still take the time to address these personal concerns here at FC, no matter how redundant they may have become over time. You really know how to make lemonade when life throws you :rant::rant:.

IMO, you guys understand the customer experience better than anyone, and strive the hardest to make us feel cared for as individuals. This is reflected in the EVOlution of the Cloud, and the continued outreach by VXL within this forum.

Thank goodness the launch is finally here and it appears this long saga will finally have a very *uplifting* conclusion as the new year rolls around!

Does anyone else want to see the backside of the Evo, what kind of cord ?

I also want to try the Vaporganix relaxing & allergy botanical blends. I hope to see those come out soon.

I also would like to try a blend they sell. However their web site doesn't list ingredients or anything. I'd prefer to know what all I'd be putting in my body. Not like it matters right now since they're sold out.

PapaMonkey is re-working the blends, they weren't up to his standards. He was impressed with the vape but not so impressed with the blends. Luckily, he sees the light now and will be producing some awesome blends for us shortly. My pops is pharmacist by education and is a herbalist who's company sells a wide variety of herbs for various ailments. I for one am excited to see what he comes out with.
