More vapor from certain strains?

I think you can only aply such lists to your specific dispensary/coffeeshop, or maybe region(as in talking to friends wich strains are usually good, and at what time of the year it's best)
for example, I don't recognise cheese as a strain that evere struck me as producing noticably less vapor.
durban poison maybe, I don't recall it well enough, but I only got outdoorgrown durban poison(wich in my climate usually means it's demed lower quality, and much cheaper, but I like the effect of outdoorgrown more, just have to vape more of it)

bubblegum I also can't recall giving me trouble(got it in anotrher coffeeshop though, in a different city I was visiting).
afghan I've only vaped in hash-form(wich vapes well, dependiong on the quality of the hash), and once combusted in weed-form(combusted it was almost as smooth as vapor, smoothest smoking weed I ever experienced). lemon haze is too long ago to say for sure, but I also don't recal it negatively.

I never tried relating it to a strain, I se it as a fluke/risk to take. I can only buy in small amounts anyway, so whenever I get something I haven't had before I buy only 10 euro/1 gram of it to try it out. that happens pretty often, the coffeeshop I usually went to has an often changing menu, you have to be lucky sometimes though, once I encountered 'S5xamnesia' among the outdoorweed, 5 euro per gram. bought 2 grams, it was probably grown in a greenhouse, it was nearly indistinguisable from indoorgrown weed, but still had that extra bit to the effect that outdoorweed usually has, it tasted great, and was strong, but also a nice high, not just pure potency. when I went back to stock up some 2-3 days later, it was sold out. spoke to a few people since who also had the luck to catch it that one time, I haven't seen it on the menu again.
anyway, what I meant to say before I wandered off, if during my tryout I find out it does't vape well I won't buy it again, and I will probably recall it if I see it on the menu again, or maybe if someone mentions it. the only ones that really stood out, so that I can recall them now:
'double diamond'(or so, it was long ago): very harsh, vapor was harsher as usually smoking it is.
'diesel': don't remember how much vapor it produced, I just couldn't get high from it, while some of my friends praised it as the best weed that shop had(not the same coffeeshop as mentioned earlier) and bought it all the time. I blamed it on some sort of weird immunity for that perticular strain from that cooffeeshop, unrelated to vaping/smoking. the 'NYC diesel' from another shop does get me high though.

o, and I also positively remember amnesia haze for producing vapor for a long while.
and now I think of it, there was neville's haze once, wich eventally was disapointing, although I think the first time I tried it I got really high, then after that I never achieved that anymore with it.

When you say, "haven't vaped as well", does that mean that it didn't produce the same amount of vapor or that it didn't get you as high. The two don't necessarily go together.

Yeah sorry that wasn't clear. I meant vapor production and darkness of abv. The effect is just fine. Great in fact.

a dry cured out bud will vape better just not as long. if the bud is wet the wet will have to vape off (more visible vapor) before the actives in the bud are vaped. I think the moisture shrouds the actives until the moisture evaps and the aqctives can break freee of the fibrous bond and float wispy like into your lungs and airways getting you medicated.

I have experienced this myself in the past, and right now. I have some Blueberry (my favorite), and some Black Widow. I love Blueberry, but this Black Widow keeps giving and giving and giving and giving vapor. :)

I like to mix the two strains, making "Blackberry," (I made that up, don't know if it's a real strain, or not) and that helps me continue to get a lot of vapor from the Blueberry.

I think you are ok w/ blackberry. Blackberry kush on the other hand is a dj shorts blueberry x. If you like the bb, have you tried the dj shorts version? Basically the only bb I use anymore. Black widow was my fave from all the white label seeds. It is a white widow backcross.

I mix the Blueberry and Black Widow that I have, and call it "Blackberry." I didn't even know it was a real strain.

my experience is that moisture/water doesn't give visible vapor. I've vaped fresh, undried weed while trimming, and for the first while in the vape, when it's drying out, it doesn't give visible vapor(but does give excellent taste)

I'm glad you started this discussion. Just last week i raised this discovery with my bros, but they haven't noticed it.

Normally i buy a half 0z at a time. Now, i had some stuff that i had at the time was pretty dry, crackly, but good bud for sure, but the vapor was disappointing as hell. I was using the solo on setting 6 - the bowl would done (meaning no real vapor being produced) before the solo 12m timer went off.

Skip ahead a stoner week and i picked up something new. Blue dream, good batch, very sticky and smelly. The grower definitely knew what he was doing. I do the same thing on setting 6, and it keeps producing vapor throughout the first 12m timer and i can get a second session with one bowl. It was nuts. Infinite vapor :p

The blue dream was definitely more moist, but i wonder if you can judge how potent the strain is from how much vapor you get from the bud. Because, the blue dream is definitely better compared to the last stuff i had.

I like the fact that now i officially know that i'm not the only icelander who vapes ;)

Switching to English again for good measure: I've been trying to tell all my buds back home about this revelation but most are very skeptic about vaping. It's pretty weird, considering how pricey weed is over there and how much money a vaporizer would save them....

I've found that the wetter the bud the longer the vape session lasts and the drier, cured out will give a few really good hits and then fizzle out quicker. the only two vapes I've used are the iolite and da vinci vape so that could have something to do with it.

No kidding, when i go to iceland im being charged $30/Gram, and not even getting bulk discounts when buying a half oz. Dont get me wrong tho, the bud was superb:)

I was playing around with the idea of bringing the SOLO to Iceland, after cleaning it thoroughly. But then again, there's always a possibility of a scumbag TSA member fucking you over!

Does anybody have experience with that?

No... but I doubt they'd do anything if it were a new unused one? ;)

My experiences have been different than you guys; I find drier bud actually gives me more vapor. In fact if the bud is too dry I have a hard time getting it as dark (at least with my solo). It is possible the solo does not get hot enough to put the more moist buds to use?

maybe the wetter bud vapes it off more from the heat created while the wetness vapes off making it like a steam cooker while the drier bud does not have the steam thing going on.

We buried the pipe in the backyard in my old house in Iceland, but it might be rented out when we go back so someone might be living there and see 2 stupid stoners blindly trying to dig for a pipe lmfao. Its double bagged and with a little "rock" side ceiling with dirt over so it wont get damaged :)
