when do you think those that prepurchase now can expect to hold the product?
Your guess is as good as ours, the first batch that went out hasn't arrived yet as far as the forum is aware. SM did say earlier that each batch will be controlled to avoid any defects, and that if all goes well each subsequent batch will be larger than the previous. The VXL site says early November is when preorders will begin to ship, so I would guess in the neighborhood of late November/early December if you preordered today.

Soo the used cloud I bought arrived the other day. I'm trying to figure out if the problems I'm having are user error or the maybe a problem with the unit itself. Maybe one of you lovely vaporists could help me out, as I've done some searching on the forums and couldn't find answers.

Im having two main problems, one is the loads are not coming out evenly brown, like what I'm accustomed to with the HA. The AVB is has some green, and some very dark brown, completely uneven. Is this my fault with how I'm loading? I currently load half-to 1/4th an ELB very loose, not packed at all. Btw my I grind my herb very fine, the herb is also dry, top shelf medicine.

The second problem is with the vapor production. It does produce pretty fat clouds, close to my HA. But it doesn't completely fog up the tube like in the videos I see online. I am using a HT so maybe that's why it doesn't white wall with vapor? I mean everything works fine, It produces good vapor, just not as thick as I'd imagine. I usually set it at 1:30 but I've gone all the way to 4 o clock and it still doesn't white wall the tube with thick vapor like what I expected.

Should I be packing the ELB tightly to produce thicker vapor? What's an average load size of an elb? any other tips to help fix these problems? Or does it sound like more of a problem with the unit?

Sorry for such a long drawn out post about my problems with the unit, I just really hope someone can shed some light on the issues I'm having. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

For best vapor production use between .1-.15 lightly packed, in the bottom of the ELB, I made a device to inhale my meds into the ELB, see pic below. Make sure ELBs are clean and use a medium grind, too fine just clogs things . . . :)

Edit: Make sure unit is heat saturated.

You probably are going to want a piece with a larger volume if you want to produce really thick clouds. With the HT vapor pretty much is hitting your lungs immediately, I couldn't ever milk mine up either. But that doesn't mean much in terms of effect, it just looks cool.

Tru dat . . . the HydraTubes are hard to "milk" per se although it can be done, this is about .15 of flower.

@Kevdog420 Pack your ELB more, maybe 50% to 75%, to helpful improve your "milk production"

Thanks for all the replies guys, this is gonna help a lot! I will try all of this, yeah it sounds like it's definitely not a problem with my unit..

Does having it plugged into a surge protector decrease power output at all? In other words is there any advantage to having it plugged into a wall vs surge protector?

That was a Cloud+ at about 2. That would translate to old ticker at about 10/11 I think?

thanks for the info. I am going to pre order tomorrow hopefully.

Do you happen to know if you are assigned a number when you pre order as to indicate your place in line to recieve the vape?

I don't think this has ever been offered, however, I have not ordered through the current process but it seems unlikely . . .

Well I'm a preorder as well, you do not get a number when you preorder. I believe it is on a simple first come first serve basis.
Additionally, you do not have to pay at the time of preorder. VXL charges you when they ship your unit, however you will have to sign in with your paypal and authorize a future payment for the amount of your order.

Im curious how the evo will stand up against the sublimator. I dont know if it can beat sub, subs hits are smooth as crazy an thats hitting it dry. I own a cloud an love it def gives best flavor. Cant wait for evo

Do me a favor if you have time. Try hitting the Cloud using a cotton or hemp fiber filter and see if it compares to the sub. I have a setup that filters the vapor about 3 inches or so before going into the hydratube and it made my cloud hits noticeably smoother. I don't own a sub so I can't compare myself. There is a more detailed thread at http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/vaping-with-cotton.9892/ if you want to read about filtering the vape.

Yeah the sub is smooth because it has a fractional condenser (oil maker) on it. My Cloud+ leaves so little reclaim that its simple to deal with. They are really two different animals and for the sake of the thread I'll leave the comparison at that . . . :peace:
