funny how? ;)

Seriously? you guys dont love the look of clean glass? :o

I just did a little comparison, I loaded the fullest trench I could in the MFLB without going over the top of the shoulders/edges, then transferred that to my SV and it loads to just below where that spike is in the chamber.
That is definitely a good sized bowl, too! now to see how long each amount lasts in said devices :ko:

Of course we do! I laughed because you said what many were likely thinking!
@SD_haze no offense intended.. It is obvious by your glass, that you are a regular user (and heavy hitter )
I like sparkling glass too.
brush that dog, before the dog show! ;)

...and I know you will give a great report! Please compare the ABV too.

grrrrr
I dont like pictures of AVB because it never ends up looking right, and comparing those pictures to other peoples' is even worse!

However I dumped a finished LB trench right on top of a finished SV load in my ABV jar and they were extremely close in color, the grind was very different, though! and of course, it varies between users and other factors how the material turns out in the end.

Im with Vito, no offense meant at all, im just a glasshead who cant get enough clean glass :p
I am interested in your beaker actually, would be more interested if I could actually see it clearly :o

Yeah... I didn't want images, I wanted just what you just said... The impression of the ABV.

Nice!! Thats one smokey looking hit, do you remember what temp you were using?

However Im going to take a moment to reflect on your bong..... its fucking disgusting. You cant even taste that delicious vapor which makes me feel sad for you, because you are missing out.

clean yo shit. report back. be vaked. :peace:

edit: sorry if that sounded kind of snobby, im just a glass snob. I spend too much time cleaning glass, but I also say fuckcombustion :p
have a nice day everyone

Haha no offense I had a feeling someone on FC would comment on its dirtyness.

I actually take the first few hits without the bong so I can really taste the flavor, afterwards most of the taste is gone so the tube doesnt really effect it.

That being said I still plan to clean the F out of it in a couple days.

I am interested in your beaker actually, would be more interested if I could actually see it clearly
Here's how she's supposed to look
glass1.jpg

(PS that milkshot was fairly smokey vapor, tried to see how opaque i could get, i think it was around 340 but ive been stopping at 325 normally)

I find the abv to be light in color usually unless you go over 330. But it is incredibly even in color.

I agree, I will take a picture of this herb when its finished in the vape, just to show the evenness of the color, not to show the color itself so much

Took 3 days for a legitamate terrible issue :uhoh:

I just heated it up to only 270 (i watched it come up very closely), took a puff, looked down, and it says "Hi"
Even though its cooled down it STILL says Hi . F

It doesn't even go away when I press the left button...

Needless to say this is pretty devastating 3 days in
Ive contacted Ed but yet another waiting game begins
Has anyone had to send their supreme back? Do you have to pay postage and whatnot?

At least I can blindly heat it up and it still works

Did you stop heating at 270? If so the temperature probably climbed to 280ish, maybe higher. Not that it matters for the malfunction. It sounds like you just need a new thermometer.

The fact that the thermometer isn't necessary for function is another good aspect of the Supreme. Of course, I'd rather have the thermometer.

Yeah actually stopped @ like 250 and it went up to 270.

15 mins later still Hi.
Since it wont go away kinda running down the lcd batery no?

My brulee torch goes up 5-10 a tick so I figure ~1-1.5 min from cold and 5-10 sec after 2 puffs should work well enough.

Luckily I got enough practice having massive sesh these past couple days so I got a really good feel for it :D

I would play with the button and see what happens

That's actually the weird part.

When you press the button, Hi goes away, but as soon as when you lift ur finger up it comes right back up.
Also, when you "press" on the black border around the temp, Hi disappears too.

Seems like faulty wiring or something like that.

This thread needs more vape vids :brow:

Let us know what happens with the HI situation ... maybe it's the SV's way of telling you to take a break

Kidding of course, but good thing it happened within the warranty period.

Definitely sounds like a a break between the probe and the thermometer. It's a really small solder point . I posted a picture a couple pages back of what the thermometer looks like out of the supreme if you are interested. I'm sure ed will take care of you , probably by sending you a replacement thermometer.

I've never been able to so distinctly notice the difference in flavors between strains as that first hit off the supreme direct from the mouthpiece.

Becoming one of my favorite parts of picking up new bud.

Sadly I keep ovehreating the supreme without the temp readout & actually combusted last night:o

Broken temp reading considered... You make a good argument for the SV mentioning that first taste of new bud!
You are the Vapor path!

I broke a few thermometers. What I did was heat it up without the mouthpiece attached. Eventually I'd start smelling the goodness, then I would attach the mouthpiece, maybe heat it a few seconds more and start hitting. Before breaking the thermometer, I remembered smelling the goodness somewhere around 250f. So I used that as a guage.

However, 250f on my unit may not be the same as 250f on yours. I've noticed the vast majority of folks posting here use temperatures much higher than I can. On my unit, the material burns (or scorches) around 300f. I tend never to go about 290ish unless I'm using kief.

@reece
Yeah I went to like 340 and it didn't combust.

Although if I did do that and waitied for the smell regardless of the temperature readout it'd still work better than what ive been doing.

What torch were you using to heat it up "a few seconds more"?
Im using a MicroTorch that only went up like 5-10 a tick.

I use a chef's torch purchased from target. Kind of like this one: http://www.target.com/Bonjour-Creme-Brulee-Set/dp/B000IZRWKI/ref=sc_pd_gwvub_2_title

I try to set my flame so that the temp rises no more than 4 or 5 degrees at a time.

Is the only way to replace a faulty thermometer through micro soldering? I'm hoping my doesn't break because I don't have any clue about soldering haha :p

Yeah I may own a 980 Hakko soldering iron but i threw away the metal tip long ago ;)
