So as many of you know my HOA president gets away with harassing people until they pay bribes. So far current situation. The HOA president and his girlfriend and wife and her sister are all on the board. Together no one has been able to stop it. Currently I can not park my car in my space without getting harassed. My girlfriend has to do all the working at a her job and her (other type) job. And I can not get a job because if I leave he said I would regret leaving my place unwatched. So we are trying desperately to find a new place to live. But since I am stuck home like in a prison I at one time thought a long time ago but never really acted on the idea yet. And that idea was that if I kept my water on using every faucet all day would that make the HOA have to pay more with the water bill to really do anything back to them? Or would it just be a wasted effort? The homeowner where I live does not pay WATER/SEWER/GARBAGE. Instead she pays dues that pay for everything.

So is that a yes it will cost a lot or no there is a chance that the city will not raise the bill on the HOA just because it's more water than what they are used to seeing get used?

the hoa pays the water bill. typically a raise in expenses is passed on to the unit owners, possibly with an increase in next year's association dues.

So the guy is practicing extortion on everyone? Seems more likely, if true, that it's just the people who can't afford to file an official complaint, for whatever reason.

Your waste the water idea is a bad one, for the waste factor alone, and has been said, higher costs are just passed on to everyone.

set up some cameras pointing out of your windows and go out and do as you wish. If he does some thing to the house it will be caught on camera and he or she is not immune to the law. you can even get one of those rechargeable cams that use sd cards they make for car surveillance. Its all old technology now and can be had cheaply if you do the research. They can harass you to some degree but they cant threaten you or your girl, if they hurt you, your girl or your property, you need to call the police and explain the situation to them.

Well on average how much money are we talking here? I've never had to pay a water bill in my life so I don't really have any idea of how much we are talking about.

So far this is the third day in row. But I only do it for about 10 hours a day or so. It's just the cold water, because I want to save money on electricity and like hot showers. But I'd have to say that I'm flushing the toilet about 20 times a day, the washer gets full about 30 times a day with cold water. And the bathroom and kitchen faucets are on full blast the entire time. And the tub water on too. Ofcourse like I said this is only cold water so I'm not taking it to the maximum extreme yet.

Anyone here good with numbers and or have any idea how much the average water price is?

Behold! Here is a landlord's worst nightmare. Spiteful and vindictive. Waste precious water for self-wrought personal reasons - an enemy of the Earth we have here! Begone! But not in my neighborhood!

Well I'm a mother nature loving wiccan so I wish no harm to you nor the earth. I find your post offensive. I do not know why it is your intention to offend me. I have no idea where this attitude is coming from. If I have somehow accidentally offended you however then I apologize, it was never my intention to hurt you or anyone else here on the forum, I just believe in justice, when someone starts trouble, alls fair in love and war to get them back. That's all.

I don't think anyone here is against justice. I believe it's the way you wish to execute this "justice." I love the Earth too, and realize how precious its resources are, especially right now as the human population is escalating.

Revenge may or may not serve you well in the end, only time will tell. It seems you need a different passive-aggressive revenge tool that doesn't waste water. May I suggest this, I just bought a 4 pack and it is the most foul substance I have ever smelt. It is also non toxic, doesn't stain, and goes away after a while. Think car air conditioning intake vent . . .

Once again, you are the innocent victim. Beginning to see a pattern here? I hope for your sake, revenge will be more trouble than it's worth. You need to learn other ways of dealing. Look up "external locus of control" in a search engine and you may find where your troubles start. Good luck. Live and learn (the hard way).

if you are truly being harassed consider it cause to get law enforcement involved, perhaps a restraining order, at least speak to them and see what options you have to help get him off your back. dont take threats lightly such as "regret leaving the place unwatched", he might be full of shit but if you aren't willing to call his bluff then you should get some help that doesn't end in dot com.

the water idea is weak only because you would be kind of playing by his rules to play in his game, dont think its an effective "get back at him" tactic.

Water bill for an apartment is like $12 a month. Usually averaged out between all the renters. All you did was waste water and raise everyone else's bill by about $.05/year. Way to go.

Besides what is that going to accomplish? THE HOA is going to get more pissed off at you.

Idk wtf the HOA is either, but you're putting yourself into such shit for no reason.
