I can see clearly now the smoke is gone...

Fuck it, we did chili, why not?

Turned in my 2 weeks today. Kinda awkward since there were two new managers who didn't know me. Took my dad's friend to his chemo session earlier this week. I don't have to expand on how fuckin' depressing that is. He's living with us because the place he was working at (one of the business accounts) closed, and a week before it did he got really sick. Bone and prostate cancer. He prefers to eat his stuff, we don't argue about it (on top of a few pain meds and a half dozen other things). He's been here for a while now but I can't shake this fucking feeling. I just feel so helpless. Bless my dad's heart, he had no family left and no one to help him. I wish I could do more. Plus my pain's been getting worse... starting to get those anxious stomach spins again, and I've been vaping only indicas again. Sorry to dump this all in your thread mvapes, but I've told no one else about it IRL and somehow it's easier to tell you guys.

Don't worry brother - this is a great dumping ground. I admire your Father's gracious humanity as well as your offering to help but at the same time understand what that feeling your having. As a patient myself I have good and bad days, sometimes on those bad days I need help. I, on the other side of the coin feel terribly guilty at times after being helped cause I feel like I'm asking too much.

Sometimes Q - you may feel like your helpless but let me leave you with this, to you what your doing may seem menial but to someone like your Dad's friend or myself it would mean the world!

Your a good person, very caring, and obviously warm hearted. That feeling your having inside is called humanity my friend and it's quite an amazing thing.

My prayers are with you, your Dad, and your friend who's lucky to have you guys!

We found a 7-8 week old kitten in our back yard a couple days ago, no Mom or siblings to be found. :(

We have been feeding her and making sure she had clean water, but we couldn't catch her until this morning. I caught her, with my bare hands, and I didn't even get bit! :buzz:

Now, she is hiding behind my desk, and I don't want to force her out yet. I'll get a picture as soon as I can. :)

My friend has this problem sometimes, but her son is Autistic. Sometimes I wonder about that when I see other kids acting up.
I totally understand where you are coming from Vicki. I've worked with children with autism and have a close friend who is autistic. But this was not any type of impairment other than bad parenting. :disgust:

Funny..... I had a feeling a new baby was going to enter your life. :D I think this is perfect! This poor baby found a new mom.

I hate when parents don't control their children too. I had a similar incident happen to me at the post office not long ago. I had to correct the kids myself, and I didn't care if the Mom got pissed. Her back was turned anyway. These kids could have set themselves on fire and she wouldn't have noticed.

It is weird that this kitten shows up a couple weeks after our kitty passed away. Our daughter named her Petra. (She's reading Ender's Game)

Oh man, vicki talking about parents with difficulty controlling their kids.

I can't imagine what you and hubby say when you leave our house. Between the kids, the dogs, and my awkward behavior it can be a bit crazy in the vapes household.

:disgust:

I'm embarrassed in front of Mom. My goons don't listen, their like little guerrilla soldiers armed with sticky fingers and toys that I believe are strategically placed on the floor wherever I walk.

Legos fucking hurt when stepped on.

We have never thought your house was crazy at all! We think your kids have always been really well behaved too! I love it when the puppies are all over me.

BTW, hubby said don't forget to lube with the W-D40.
