Random Question from us foreigners (canadian here, so riding top), when and how do we pay VapeXhale the shipping costs?

I like to flush out my lungs with a few fresh breaths between hits of rebreathed vape, as I imagine this largely avoids any potential CO2 concerns, although I suspect this may not actually be necessary. I'm no doctor, though, so standard disclaimer applies. Be careful.

Your suspicions are correct. There is no need for concern. I posted a complete explanation of this a long time ago in the dormant Extreme II thread.

Hrm. I'm not sure I agree with the linked analysis, though, because it starts off predicated on the assumption that what we call "vapour" (or "vapor") is a gas. And it technically is, as long as the airstream remains above the requisite 170C or so, but it cools below that a really short distance of flow later, and condenses. The cloudy stuff that fogs up your glass and nuzzles playfully into your alveoli stopped being true vapour long before it got to your mouth. It's actually a suspension of tiny solid particles of resin, ususally spherical droplets, suspended in air. It has more in common with smoke than vapour at this point. (Vape is a lot better for you though, since its particles slowly dissolve in your lungs, whereas smoke is full of all sorts of insoluble nasty shit that will only come out by coughing.)

But anyway, the point is that the "vapour" doesn't really displace any air, COS, O2, whatever, because it has hardly any volume. Gases expand to fill a vessel, but solids have a fixed volume. Even if the solid in question is divided up into billions of tiny pieces small enough to "float" like dust, and are carried about by a gas, the net volume of all the suspended particles doesn't change no matter how widely you disperse them in a container.

I do agree that it's highly doubtful there'd be any health risks, though. I've rebreathed thousands of hits over years, multiple times each, and all I have to show for it is a three-fold increase in lung capacity. :p

It looks like Canadians are in luck for no $50 shipping charge by this post below
Happy Halloween! Trick or Treat just send me something good to put in my EVO for payment:cool:

It's been asked before but not answered, so I think it may have been buried but will Canadians be required to pay the $50 "international" shipping fee, or is that simply for overseas customers?

$50 fee doesn't apply to our Canadian neighbors

This is what I was told as well.

Since the cloud is a convection type vaporizer, am I right in assuming that if you need to leave the cloud mid session for 5-10mins, it won't be producing any vapour until you draw on it? Likewise, it won't be giving off an obvious scent until you come back (even if it's still on) and start hitting it?

I did try searching for this, but it's fairly tricky to find, even though I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere in the previous 18886 posts!

Thanks

Yes to the first question and no to the second. It will keep the goods warm and warm goods emit odour.

Thanks. However I assume that since it's not warm to the point of vaporizing cannabinoids, then say putting the Cloud in a large empty cupboard would suffice to keep the smell contained? I'd be in the next room or at the front door etc so no fire risk really.

It's just that I've found that the LSV (mix of conduction and convection IMO) emits a very strong odour since even when not pulling on it, there's vapour coming out of the mouthpiece. On the other end of the spectrum, volcano bags are perfect for not giving off smell in between pulls but are really noisy and smelly when filling up the bags with vapour.

I can't resist prolonging this off-topic diversion for one more post.

You're absolutely right about the stuff we're calling vapour really being an aerosol, and I never considered the consequences of that. It just seemed logical to me at the time (I was undoubtedly stoned) that if there was so much vapour in there you could see it, there couldn't be much air. The error really doesn't change things because the salient part is in the final two paragraphs. Given the volumes under consideration, there just isn't enough CO2 to matter.

It'll smell as much as a large, open dish of flowers, I expect. Whether that's detectable through two doors or not depends on a bunch of factors, but if it's sitting there long enough I expect it probably will be.

Actually, just take the ELB out in between and you're probably fine. Put it in an airtight container to be even safer.

I had never really thought of this. I wonder if aerosol nature of the resin is what causes the oh so common "vapor creep," where you vape, but don't really feel it for 5-10 minutes. Perhaps those little solid resin balls take that amount of time to dissolve in the lungs.

But that doesn't make that much sense, as if that where the mechanism that was happening, smoking would be prone to the same effect.

I wonder just how much of the oxygen in the inhale is used up burning the load when smoking? It's conceivable there's an element of oxygen deprivation added on top of the effects of the actives in the draw, but whether it's enough to be felt on its own, or it potentiates the goodies, or whatever, I don't know. I just tried a quick experiement where I emptied my lungs as much as I could, then held it as long as I could comfortably stand it (about 20 secs), and I certainly felt light-headed when I finally inhaled, and even for several seconds afterwards. It certainly feels remarkably like the "kick" of smoking a bowl, anyway.

The resulting adrenalin release might play some role also, faster respiration delivering the goodies with a bit more alacrity?

I love seeing highly intelligent discourse in this thread, especially on LAUNCH DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Not to derail but the lsv is NOT a mix of conduction &convection it is 100% convection
